Wakka scratched his head looking at the younger dark silver-haired girl sitting on his bed.
“Say something Wakka,” Paine said, her face a deep crimson.
“Wow, are you serious, Paine,” Wakka asked?
“Yeah, um do you hate me,” Paine asked? Paine had a worried look on her face. She stood up and walked to Wakka’s window and looked out at the village.
Wakka smiled at the girl, “hate, now why would I hate you, Paine?” He felt confused like he was missing something.
Now it was Paine’s turn to look confused, “huh, but I thought...weren’t you guys...”
Wakka made a ‘o’ look of surprise, is this what everyone thinks, “No Paine, we were never a couple,” he made a disgusted look, “it’d be like dating my sister.”
Dark eyes looked up at Wakka in surprise, “so you don’t mind? You don’t think it’s...well wrong?”
“Don’t mind, Paine I think it’s great. And it’s not wrong,” Wakka said, speaking the last word a little loud. He seemed to be talking to himself.
“Wakka,” Paine questioned, worried about his sudden change of tone?
“Tell me what’s bothering you.”
Wakka faintly smiled remembering his time, during Yuna’s pilgrimage. When a certain blond head boy sent his heart racing. And a smile would make him melt. Wakka never got the chance to fully express his feelings before the younger man was gone.
“I thought I had fallen in love, but before I could be sure, he was gone,” he told Paine in a shaky voice.
Paine raised a eyebrow, “he?”
Wakka blushed, “um er Tidus.” Just saying his name made Wakka choke, and slide down the dresser, to the cold floor. Wakka wasn’t really known for crying in front of others, but he just couldn’t help it. His shoulders started to shake, as tears slid down his cheeks.
A normally cold Paine, ran to the man and pulled him in her arms. “Shh, Wakka,” she said, running her hand threw his red hair.
Wakka leaned into her arms, and cried, till he was all cried out. “I’m okay, thanks Paine. You know Paine you really should tell her before it’s too late, and she’s gone.”
Paine knew his words were true. “I will. And don’t worry Wakka it gets better. Soon you’ll meet a wonderful person, that’s meant just for you.” Wow did I really just say all that, Paine thought.
“Thanks Paine. You’ve changed, you know, ya.”
Paine, laughed helping Wakka to his feet, “so I’m beginning to notice.”
“It’s a good change.”
“Thanks.”
“Um, Paine?”
“Yeah,” Paine said.
“Will you keep this quiet, I’m not ready for everyone to know? Mostly I don’t want Yuna to know.”
Paine smiled, “sure Wakka. And you’ll keep my secret?”
“Of course.”
“You know, Yuna didn’t really like Tidus, like a boyfriend. She told me that they were just good friends.”
“Oh.”
“So if and when you tell Yuna, I don’t think she’ll mind.”
Wakka blushed. “That’s good to know. Yuna’s like a sister, I’d never want to hurt her.”
“You wont.”
“Thanks again Paine. Ha ha, we’ve said thanks a lot tonight.”
“I noticed and your welcome.”
(Hi, sleepy head,) Gippal looked down at Baralai, who had just woken up.
Looking at Gippal, Baralai blushed. They were close enough to kiss. But no, they couldn’t do that. After all they were staying at Yuna’s hut. All they needed was for one of the girls to walk in on them and freak out.
“What,” Baralai sleepily mumbled? Baralai yawned, looking at the young Al Behd.
Gippal blushed. “Er I said morning,” Gippal looked around making sure they were alone, then placed a quick kiss on Baralai’s cheek.
Baralai jumped, blushing a deep red.
Both boys bolted away from each other when they heardYuna's bedroom door open.
A sleepy Rikku came out of the room and saw the two boys, she smiled at Gippal.
(Hey, Gippal so have you claimed Baralai yet?) Rikku asked with a serious look on her face.
Gippal felt all his blood drain. Turning bright red, he looked at Rikku, (WHAT!) He yelled.
Rikku giggled. (Contrary to popular belief, Gippal, I’m not stupid.)
(WHAT!) Gippal yelled again, covering his face.
Baralai was looking back and forth between the two Al Behd, with a bewildered look on his face.
“Um, Gippal? What’s wrong?”
(Baralai and Gippal sitting in the tree, K.I.S.S.I.N.G,) Rikku teased.
(Rikku) Gippal yelled, his face a red as a fire truck.
“GIPPAL, what’s wrong,” Baralai demanded, looking at the Al Behd, and then to the singing Al Behd?
Finally having pity on Gippal, Rikku smiled at Baralai, “I asked him if he’d claimed you yet.”
Now it was Baralai’s turn to turn beet red. “What,” he yelled.
Gippal looked up at his young blond friend, “how long have you known?”
Rikku smiled, “Oh ever since forever. And I bet you’ve liked him ever since your crimson squad days.”
Gippal blushed.
Baralai’s eyes went wide, “it’s true?”
Blushing again, Gippal nodded.
“Awwwww,” Rikku giggled.
“What’s so cute,” Yuna asked coming out of her bedroom.
Gippal went white. (Don’t you dare tell her Baralai and I are a couple!)
Rikku started to laugh, “Um, you kind of just did.”
Yuna’s eyes went wide, when she heard Gippal, but then she smirked at the boy. (I speak Al Behd.)
Baralai pouted, “Hey don’t leave me out. What did you all say?”
Rikku giggled again. “Gippal asked me not to tell Yuna that you two are a couple. But Yuna can speak Al Behd.”
“Oh,” Baralai blushed.
“Um, you two are not freaked out by this,” Gippal quietly asked?
“No.”
“Nope, why would we be?”
“Good,” both boys said together.
“So back to my earlier question. Have you claimed him yet”
Gippal, pulled his covers over his head, and a muffled, “None of your business, Rikku,” could be heard.
Rikku and Yuna smirked. “That means no,” they said at the same time.
Gippal poked his head out, and looked at the two girls, “All have you know, I have claimed him. Just not in the way you two are thinking. (Dirty minds)”
Baralai blushed, but smiled. “Same here.”
“Awwwww,” the girls said together.
