‘Yaoi, yaoi, yaoi,’ Selphie chanted under her breath, as she ran down the dorm hallway. Today was the day of the party, and she was really excited to get her plan on the rode.
"What’s that," a quiet voice asked, making Selphie jump?
Selphie grinned, sheepishly, looking at the birthday boy from Tribia. Teehee, whoops, what did he hear? "Hmm, what?"
Cloud smiled, shaking his head. He had clearly heard what she was saying. "What where you saying?"
"Oh...oh, um...Yay is me. Yeah, er I’m excited about the party," Selphie said, sounding rather lame.
Smirking, Cloud tapped his left ear, "Selphie, I think it’s important for you to know I have really good hearing."
Selphie’s grin didn’t waver, but her eyes grew big. "O..oh, that’s interesting."
"Yes, but what’s even more interesting is you chanting Yaoi."
"Teehee," Selphie giggled, sounding like a mouse caught in a trap. "So you heard that?"
Cloud smirked, plastering on a mock confused face, "yeah I did. Mind telling me what that means?
Oh...oh good, he doesn’t know. So what should I tell him...? The truth, I know I can’t lie.
"Well, you see...the thing is..." Selphie was blushing by now, "yaoi means mumble, mumble"
Cloud put a hand to his hear, "eh, I didn’t catch that."
"A term meaning...okay boy love!" Selphie shouted, covering her face, peeking out at Cloud through her fingers.
Cloud stayed quiet for a bit, worrying Selphie. She was afraid he’d get all disgusted. His face was blank, then all of a sudden a huge amused grin broke out over his face and he started to crack up. "I’m sorry," he said in-between laughs, "I know already what it meant." He laughed some more, "I just wanted to hear you say it."
Selphie dropped her hands and started to pout, "hey..."
"You should of seen your face. It was priceless."
"Hey!" Selphie stomped her foot, "that was very mean."
"I’m sorry."
Selphie grinned, "ah, I don’t mind. Say Cloud, you willing to help a sister out?"
"What do ya need?"
Selphie leaned over, placing her mouth close to Cloud’s ear, "well, it’s like this..."
Selphie was nervously tugging at the bottom of her blouse, worrying. What if Zell completely freaked out, and refused to kiss Seifer, Cloud or Irvine. Hmm, Selphie supposed she could always dare Quistis to kiss him. Granted Zell wouldn’t enjoy it, but it’d make Squall jealous.
But how do we know that? None of us even know if Squall is gay, or if he likes Zell. Well I guess this is one way to find out.
"Hey, Selphie dear. Head in the clouds?"
Selphie looked up and smirked. "Nah, but somebodies head or rather mouth will be in the Clouds soon." She nodded over to Cloud and Seifer. They were both sitting on the couch talking to each other, and it was rather obvious, that they each had a thing for each other. If the blushing meant anything.
Irvine nodded, "I can see that. You think our plan will mess up their budding liking of each other?"
"Nah, they both know of it and are in on it. So hopefully they won’t be bugged by the other kissing Zell." Selphie made sure to whisper the last part as Zell and Squall both walked into the room, followed by Quistis.
Selphie stood up and grinned, "look like were almost all here." She walked over to the radio and clicked it on. A nice slow song started.
"Oy, Selphie," Seifer got up from the couch and walked over to Selphie and Irvine, "Ra and Fu can’t make it. Fu’s mom got sick and they went to visit her."
"Oh, I’m sorry to hear that." Selphie frowned, but soon she beamed, noticing Squall looking at Zell out of the corner of his eye. "Kay, everyone who’ll be here is here. Let’s get this party started. AND NO WALLFLOWERS ALLOWED!"
"But, Selphie there is more guys then girls," Zell protested.
"So, we’re all friends, dance with Seifer or the birthday boy."
Zell blushed, and eyed Squall. "I guess that’s okay. Since we’re all friends."
Oh yeah, I just bet that’s why you agreed. Selphie giggled, grabbing Irvine’s hand. "Quistis come dance with Irvine and me."
Quistis nodded and the three started to dance together, Irvine was really enjoying himself.
Now it was just the four boys left. Nobody moved, unsure what to do. Zell rolled his eyes and shrugged, "I ain’t being a wallflower, dance with me," he asked Cloud, a slight pout to his voice. I wish I had the guts to ask Squall.
Cloud smiled, and placed his arms around Zell’s neck. Zell blushed and put his hands on Cloud’s waist. "If I step on your feet, I’m really sorry," Zell joked, to cover his embarrassment.
Seifer smirked, when he noticed Squall’s gaze pass over to Zell and Cloud and a saddened expression came over his features. Seifer knew how he felt. Well not really. Seifer knew he was GAY and knew he was jealous of Zell. Squall was probably still quite confused.
"Well I’m not about to be a wallflower either, so dance," Seifer grabbed Squall’s hands and pulled him to his chest. "Do you want to lead," he teased?
Squall glared at Seifer and tried to pull away. "Aw, don’t fight it. It’s only a dance."
Squall just dance. What will it hurt?
I don’t dance.
Really? What about the she-be...
Okay, okay so I’ve danced before. But I don’t want to dance with HIM!
Do you really hate him?
I...I uh, no I guess I don’t.
Then just dance and enjoy yourself.
Squall sighed, fine. Seifer smirked when Squall finally relaxed.
Selphie grunted, Zell you big weenie. You should of asked Squall.
When the song ended, Selphie grinned, "switch!"
Everyone was confused, before Selphie let go of Irvine and Quistis and pulled Cloud away from Zell, she shoved Cloud to Irvine. Irvine blushed when he caught Cloud. Selphie smiled. She wasn’t worried. She knew the boy was bi, ever since they started to date. But she trusted him.
Going over to Squall and Seifer she pulled Seifer away from him, and motioned Quistis over, shoving her into Squall. Squall grunted when he caught the girl.
Selphie giggled, and dragged Seifer over to Zell, going behind him, she pulled Seifer and shoved him into Zell’s chest.
Sorry Zell. You can’t dance with Squall just yet. We really need to test him, Selphie thought as she and Seifer started to grind into Zell. Selphie barley touched him, knowing the boy wouldn’t really want her to, but Seifer didn’t care, and let the music take him away.
"You okay, Squall," Quistis whispered, as she and Squall danced, "you seem far away."
Squall blinked, looking at Quistis, "I uh, I’m fine."’
Liar. Squally some things bothering you, don’t leave your friends out of the loop. Talk to them.
Quistis didn’t buy that for one bit, "no, really, what’s wrong?"
Sighing, Squall laid his chin on Quistis’s shoulder, "I’m not really sure to be truthful."
Quistis frowned and tightened her arms around Squall. "Well I’m here, when you want to talk."
Squall let a small smile play at his lips. "Thank you."
