Putting the box in his pocket, Zell hummed a song as he walked to his door. Going outside, he made sure his door was locked, before heading down for breakfast.
Walking down the hallways he was assaulted by a young girl, “um Mr. Zell,” she asked?
Zell looked at the young girl, “hmm, what is it?” The girl smiled.
“My name is Meghan LaRae,” Zell raised his eyebrow. “The founder of the yaoi club.” Meghan was a tall blond girl, who almost towered over Zell. But Zell was used to this by now, almost everyone but, Selphie and Rinoa were taller then him.
He knew who she was. He frowned, this was the girl who broadcasted his and Seifer’s relationship. What me to zap her? Um, no thank you, Ixion. “I wanted to say I’m sorry for...well sorry that some of my members took your photo.” She handed, Zell a yellow parcel. “It’s in here, with all the copies.”
“Oh, well um thanks.” Zell smiled and watched as the girl walked away. Does this mean the end of the yaoi club? Somehow I don’t believe that. Probably not, Ixion and Quezacotl said together.
Zell ran back to his room, putting the parcel on his desk.
Zell had a big grin on his face when he entered the cafeteria. His hand was in his pocket fingering the little box. Looking across the room, Zell’s smile grew when he saw his group of friends...eyebrows shot up...including Rinoa. (A/N Ack, I had to add her in.)
Whaa, when did she get back from...where was she...oh right, on some mission with Nida, Ra and Fu? I still can’t believe those two became Seeds.
I wonder how...Zell’s eyes passed over to Irvine and Squall, and he frowned, both boys were sitting far apart looking down at their meals. They had crossed annoyed looks on their faces.
Why are they acting like that? Squall and Rinoa are not together anymore!
Zell slowly walked up the place his order, “four hotdogs, smothered in mustard and catsup.” The old lady smiled.
“Zell, don’t you want to try something new?”
“Nah thanks.” The old lady sighed and handed over his order.
“I swear one of these days your going to wake up a hotdog.” Zell laughed, walking to his table.
Ha, I’ve got you beat. I already am a Hot Dog. Zell placed his try next to Seifer’s and set down, next to the older teen. Rinoa glanced up, a smile on her pretty face. “Hello Zelly,” she leaned over hugging him, surprising Zell.
“Oh hey, Rin.” Zell gave a sideways glance at Squall. The teen was bitting his lip, seeming to be in thought about something deep. Ho boy, is he gonna tell her. Um...maybe I should tell her about me and Seifer first...just to test her reaction.
“Um,” Zell said to clear his throat, “hey, Rinoa, guess what?” He smiled a cheerful smile her way. You better take this well, or...well I don’t hit girls, so I’ll make Selphie slap ya.
I could always zap her. Once again, no thanks Ixion.
Rinoa shrugged her shoulders, “I haven’t a clue...what’s up?” Irvine, Seifer, Selphie, Squall and Quistis looked at the young fighter wondering what he was about to tell the girl.
Zell grinned, “well I’m dating someone.” Rinoa shrieked. Seifer looked at Zell, a twinkle in his eyes. His look said, he didn’t care if Zell told her. In fact he really couldn’t wait to see her reaction.
“Oh, Zelly that’s wonderful. Who, who? Do I know her? Wait I know! Is it the library girl? Or...Selphie,” Selphie choked on her water, shaking her head no, “oh, then maybe Quistis?” Quistis snorted into her breakfast salad. “Guess that’s a no. So it is the library girl.”
“Geez, Rinoa, you sure like to talk. And no, it’s not the library girl.” Zell smirked, wondering who the girl would guess to be his girlfriend next.
“Oh, um then is it...hmmm,” Rinoa started to pout, “come on give me a hint. I can’t think of anyone else.”
Zell made a thoughtful face, putting his finger to his lips, “well...I guess one set of hints can’t hurt. But I bet you ten gil you won’t be able to guess.”
Rinoa clapped, “I accept the challenge,” she set ten gil on the table, Zell doing the same.
“Here they are. The person I’m dating is taller then me...no duh, they even weigh more then me, but are not fat. This person used to have an annoying nickname for me, but has adopted a less annoying nickname.” Zelly poo. Still annoying, but, hehe, I have to admit, every time he teased me using that name I blushed.
Rinoa grunted, very un lady like, passing her ten gil to Zell, “I have no idea. The only person I know that had an annoying nickname for you is Seifer. Man, and I could of used that gil to.” Seifer snorted in his drink, and Zell smirked, rolling his eyes. Rinoa had guessed it without realizing it.
“Here,” he passed the ten gil back to Rinoa, “you can keep it.”
Rinoa shook her head no, “a bets a bet, I didn’t guess.”
Selphie had almost lost it when Rinoa said Seifer, so it was no surprise when she opened her mouth and exclaimed, “um, you kinda did.”
“I ah what,” Rinoa said, confused? “Huh?”
By now, Irvine was laughing into his drink and Squall was smirking. Seifer looked at Zell, “you should just tell her, chicken wuss...I mean, Zelly poo.” He said chicken wuss and Zelly poo in a higher voice then normal.
All color drained from Rinoa’s face, when she heard him. She just set still with a shocked look on her face. Not one person at the table could tell what sort of shocked expression it was. Was it a disgussed, surprised, or unbelieving look of shock?
Rinoa’s face returned to its normal expression. But wasn’t normal for long, because Rinoa started to shake in a fit of laughter. “Y...you...haha...and...hehe...him,” she giggled, pointing to Zell and Seifer. She stood up, “excuse me, I have...haha, to report to Cid,” she giggled, holding her hand to her mouth.
“Wait,” Zell grabbed her arm, “does that mean...me and Seifer dating doesn’t bother you?”
Rinoa smiled, apparently done with her hysterical laughter, “of course not.” She looked at Squall for a brief moment, then turned to leave.
Zell shook his head in amusement, “well. I didn’t expect that reaction.” He leaned on Seifer and Seifer’s arm went around his waist.
“Apparently the princess is more open minded, then we give her credit for,” Seifer looked at Zell, kissing his cheek. Zell blushed, nodding.
“I guess so. Hey,” he looked at Squall, then at Irvine, “why are you two acting like strangers?”
Squall chuckled, “Irvine freaked out when he saw her.”
“What, so it slipped my mind for a moment that they had broken up. All I need is for some ice spell shoved up my behind.”
Everyone shook their heads, laughing at Irvine.
“Well you should tell her, before she finds out from the fan-club.” Quistis advised them.
Squall rolled his eyes, “we don’t need her approval.”
“But we’ll tell her, after all she’s still a friend, right?” Irvine smiled at Squall.
“Yeah, we’ll tell her,” Squall nodded.
Zell nervously walked up to Seifer’s dorm. Knocking on the door, Zell waited for Seifer to open it. Opening the door, Seifer smiled, “hey baby.” Zell looked up, his cheek’s bright red.
“Come in.” Seifer steeped aside, letting Zell walk into his room. “Now, what do I owe the pleasure of your company.”
Zell giggled, hugging Seifer tight. He moaned, when he felt strong arms go around his waist. Looking up at Seifer, Zell stood on his tippy-toes and kissed him. Moaning, he traced his tongue over Seifer’s teeth, smiling into his mouth when Seifer parted his lips. Zell bravely pushed his tongue into the cave that was Seifer’s mouth, almost passing out, from the pleasure it brought him, when Seifer responded, by tickling the roof of his mouth with his tongue, then tracing his tongue over the tip of Zell’s.
Both boys pulled apart gasping for breath. Seifer smiled, “that was one hot kiss.”
Zell blushed, nodding. “Yeah. Hey Seif, do you know what today is?”
Seifer blinked, “um...Monday.”
Zell rolled his eyes, “besides Monday.”
Seifer shrugged, “no idea then.”
Zell smiled, “well then close your eyes. I have a surprise.”
Seifer smirked, “oh.” He closed his eyes.
Zell grinned, “not what you’re thinking. Hold out your hand.” Seifer did so.
Zell took a deep breath and pulled out the little box from his pocket. He placed the box in Seifer’s hand.
“Happy Birthday. Didn’t even remember his own birthday, really.” Zell giggled.
Seifer opened his eyes in surprise looking down at the box in his hand. “My birthday...oh,” Seifer smacked his head, with his free hand, “duh, how could I forget that?”
Zell laughed, “it’s okay. Come on open it.”
Seifer did just that and gasped, “you bought me this,” his voice sounded like he wasnear tears?
Nodding, Zell blushed, “do you like it? Um and read the inscription.”
“Like it! Zell, I love it!” Seifer turned the pendant of a miniature gunblade over and started to read what was inscribed on it. His mouth dropped open, in surprise.
“Well,” Zell asked, sounding scared?
“Zell,” Seifer’s voice cracked. He was blinking back tears. “You mean it?”
“Yes, I understand if you don’t feel the same way...but I wanted you to know.”
Seifer smiled looking down to the words again. I love you, Seifer! Love, Zell.
“Not feel the same way,” Seifer grinned, hugging Zell tight. “Zell I fell in love with you a long time ago.” Zell gasped, tears coming to his eyes.
“Y...you did?”
“Yes!” He looked down, “I never told ya, cause I didn’t want to freak you out.”
“Oh!” Zell buried his head in Seifer’s chest. “I LOVE YOU,” he shouted, his voice muffled!
Seifer smiled, he liked hearing it spoken out loud much better. “I love you, too.” Seifer hugged Zell tighter to his chest. “Thanks for the gift.”
“You’re welcome!”
Both boys stood like they were, not moving, just enjoying being in each other’s arms.
