The Dreaded Mission

“What,” Squall screamed, seeming to forget he’s supposed to be the ice queen . . . er king. But ever since the whole getting together with Irvine, Squall has been shocking people with actually talking and showing emotion. Right now his emotion of choice was: Anger! He was almost seething. The poor man in front of him was almost trembling. But at the moment, Squall didn’t really care.

“Squall,” the man, who was none other then Cid. The ‘I like to give my job to someone else, when things get hairy, and when every thing is better I come back,’ guy. “Calm down. This is an order!”

“You can’t possibly be serious,” Squall yelled.

Squall, honey. Please calm down.

Shiva, I appreciate the concern, but you did hear what he ordered me to do, didn’t you?

I heard, sweety, but he is your boss. You can’t risk getting fired. What will you do? Go live with Laguna?

Ahhh . . . heck no! I like the man, but I don’t want to live with him.

Well I am glad that you like your OWN father, Shiva said, with a girlish giggle.

“SQUALL,” Cid’s face was red, “I’ve called your name like five times. And I said I was serious!”

Squall snapped his attention back to Cid. “Fine, what are the details of the mission?” Squall knew Shiva was right. But he almost felt sick about what Cid was making him do. Didn’t Cid know he was GAY? Didn’t he? Well? Apparently he didn’t care!

Sighing Cid gave Squall a brown folder, “every thing is in there. Memorize it all. I’ve already given Rinoa her info.” Squall nodded, leaving Cid’s office.

Rinoa looked through her folder, sighing in happiness. Did Cid read her mind or something? It sure seemed that way. Pulling out one page she nearly fainted with joy.

“Oh this will be fun,” she gushed out loud.

You do know that you are a bloody idiot, Rinoa’s GF Galleon asked?

Rinoa rolled her eyes, shut up, Gal. This will work! I know it!

Ha! If I was human, I’d bet you ten million gil that it would fail.

Well you’re not human, so quit dreaming.

Please remind me, why I let myself be your GF. I really want to know.

You . . . we didn’t have much of a choice, Yayoi said, a sigh sounding in Rinoa’s head.

Bloody sorceress! You’d think we’d have more power then this.

You’d think.

“Okay would you both please shut up,” Rinoa yelled out loud, scaring a couple of cadets. I’m trying to memorize the details of this mission.

Both GF’s would of rolled their eyes if they had a body to do so. Can Rinoa even read, both GF’s wondered? They were no longer speaking in her head, but privately to each other.

Selphie ran into her girlfriend’s room and ran up to Quistis, tears in her eyes, “Quitsy, did you hear,” she whined?

Quistis numbly nodded. How could he do that? Quistis knew that Cid knew of his teacher’s homosexuality. And yet he still picked Squall for this mission. If Quistis was not so bookish and yay rules, she’d stomp into Cid’s office and give him a good whomp on the head.

“What are we going to do,” Selphie cried, “we have to save him!”

“His life is not technoloy in danger . . . well from her,” Quistis pushed her reading glasses up, looking at Selphie.

“Yeah . . . but . . . ”

“Selphie as sad as this is there’s nothing we can do.”

“Sad and sick,” Selphie yelled, slumping on Quistis’s bed.

Zell looked at his boyfriend, thankful neither of them were asked to do what Squall was being ordered to do. But he felt sorry for the dark-haired man all the same. He was actually quite mad. He didn’t know who to direct his anger at, Cid, Rinoa or the people they were doing the mission for.

“Zell honey,” Zell forgot his anger for a split second, blushing at the un-Seifer like comment. But Seifer had changed a lot. “It’s not fair I know. But it’s late and you really should turn in.”

Zell hung his head, “I know . . . um,” Zell looked up his eyes misting, “I don’t want to be alone . . . can I sleep with you?”

Seifer smiled. A few weeks ago it would of been a smirk, but since falling for Zell, he didn’t only think of sex, when he was around the boy. Which they haven’t yet done, thank you very much. They . . . or at least Zell do have some morals. Zell preferred to wait till he was absolutely sure he was ready. Yep, he was a blushing virgin. Seifer on the other hand . . . believe it or not was also a virgin, but that fact was still a secret to everyone else. Ra and Fu had spread many rumors about him. Ones he had of course encouraged.

“Sure, baby,” Seifer walked over to Zell, rubbing his tears away. “Now no more crying. Agreed?”

Zell smiled, “agreed.”
