A/N First off this is going to be AU. Okay now that we have that bit of info out of the way, I’ll tell you it’s also going to be ... yes, you guessed it: It’s yaoi!!!
OOCness is to be expected and frankly done on purpose a little for some of the characters I can’t really write that well.

It was quiet, nice day in September. Three friends from the same boarding school were all sitting together in the library chatting about this and that. The youngest of the three went by the name of Ellone Leonhart; she was fourteen years old. She had long brown hair that flowed over her thin shoulders. She was wearing a floor length skirt with a green leaf pattern, and a white blouse.
The eldest friend, and also the one always in charge of things was Quistis Trepe; she was sixteen years old. The teen had long blond hair that went pass her butt, but as usual it was up in a bun. Today she was in her normal outfit; white tank top with a pale pick sweater over it and a knee length skirt; solid black of course.
Right now, Quistis was giving her friend; the one in-between her and Ellone a curious glance.
Selphie Tilmitt, who was only fifteen had a far off look in her eyes. Her brown hair was pulled behind her head in a lose pigtail. Today the girl was wearing a yellow sundress that came to the top of her knees.
“Quisty, you like Squall?” Selphie asked, looking at her best friend.
The blond blinked, “no, why would you ask that?” She raised an eyebrow, “do you like him?”
“No,” Selphie said.
Both girls turned to Ellone.
“Why are you guys looking at me? I don’t like him. Shesh, he is my step brother.”
Quistis and Selphie both started to laugh, “oh, whoops, we forgot.” Selphie giggled.
“Okay, okay, why did you start this conversation?” Quistis asked Selphie.
Selphie grinned, “well someone likes him."
Ellone grinned, "Really? Someone likes my brother?"
She felt very happy to hear this. Her brother, Squall Leonhart was very much a loner. He was only seventeen year old and only had one good friend. Seventeen year old Zell Dincht. There was another guy they hung out with; Irvine Kinesis, who was seventeen as well, but he'd only just moved to the boarding school a few months back.
Squall was also somewhat friends with Selphie and Quistis, but that was only because they were good friends with Ellone.
It would be very healthy for Squall to go out with somebody. He needed to open up more and make more friends.
"Yeeeup!" Selphie nodded, showing everyone a letter that she'd pulled out of her pocket. "I found this."
It was one of Selphie's jobs to deliver everyone their mail. She got paid a little money to do this.
"Ohh, Selphie!" Quistis scolded, her eyes wide. "You'd get in trouble for keeping that."
The blond picked up the letter; it was for sure a love letter. It just had that look to it. It was the palest pink making it almost look white and all the 'i's' were dotted with hearts.
"Umm," Ellone blinked her eyes, looking at the letter. "I know the hearts make it look like some girl wrote him a love letter, but. . . the handwriting looks way too masculine."
"Okay, then a really gay masculine guy wrote it to him, doing the hearts so Squall wouldn't guess it was from a guy." Selphie said.
Ellone, Selphie and Quistis looked at each other, then back at the letter.
"You don't think...?" Quistis started.
"It could happen..." Ellone mumbled.
"This is so cool!" Selphie exclaimed, making everyone in the library yell, "Shh"
Ellone giggled; Quistis had a strange look in her eyes, and Selphie was bouncing up and down in her seat.
"Oh my god!" Selphie shrieked, "this totally gives me a idea for my next story!" The girl jumped up, grabbing Squall's letter. "I better give this to him, before I get in trouble."
"Ohh, Selphie, make sure you let me bata your story before you post it." Quistis advised. "Oh, and don't forget that reviewer who challenged you to do a lemon."
Selphie blushed; Ellone laughed, and Quistis smiled.
"I'd enjoy reading one written by you; you're a great writer." Quistis said. "Your grammar sucks, but you're good all the same."
"Gee thanks." Selphie muttered, actually quite pleased.
The yellow clad girl rushed away, shouting something that strangely sounded like 'Yay Oh Ee' Everyone in the library looked at her, wondering what in the world she was talking about; some even wondered what the girl was on.
"Quisty, do you really think a +guy+ likes my brother?" Ellone asked, her chin resting in her hands as she looked across the table at the blond.
"You're the one that pointed out the handwriting looked like a guys'."
"Yeah... do you think Squall could like them back?"
Quistis shrugged, "I don't know. You're his sister; is he gay?"
"Who knows; he doesn't show interest in anyone." Ellone had always wondered about her brother, but now she was feeling worried. What if he was gay? How would people take that? How would their parents take that?
Ellone and her friends were the biggest yaoi fangirls you could find, but even so Ellone wouldn't want her brother to have to go through coming out if it would cause him a lot of trouble. She cared about him a lot and never wanted to see him hurt.
"Look, Ellone, we're reading way into this because we're perverted fangirls." It felt weird calling herself a pervert, but it was true. Quistis was a in the closet pervert. On the outside she was reserved and bookish, but on the inside, well you get the idea.
Ellone quirked a smile, "yeah, it is pretty perverted to be excited about the possibility of my brother getting with a guy."
"Yeah, I'd say so."
"Quisty, we have to tell Selphie to be quiet about this. Squall could be gay, but that's something he'll have to figure out on his own."
"I know that," Quistis stood up, "But, you're right, we better warn Selphie to keep her mouth shut."
Selphie was known for being a big mouth; she had the worse time keeping secrets.
