Angel’s POV:
Jeez, why is Will so dang cute? The girls are all over him; when I say girls I mean Charisma and Amy. Amy’s Charisma’s younger girlfriend; she works as a therapist at a high school.
I couldn’t help the fond smile that left my lips as I watched Amy pinching Will’s cheeks.
“Aww, aren’t you so cute.” Amy teased.
Charisma swatted Amy on the arm, “lay off, Amy.” She grabbed Will, pulling him against her bosoms. “Don’t mind Amy; she gets excited when she sees cute things.”
Will’s face couldn’t possibly be redder then it was at this time. I was quite enjoying the sight. Will is just so cute. The only reason I didn’t mind Amy and Charisma being all over my Will was because I knew that the two were just teasing and they were not interested in guys at all. Plus, Charisma is twenty-seven and Amy’s twenty-six.
“I’m not so cute,” I heard Will mutter.
Someone in the room snorted and it took me a moment to realize that that someone was me. Three pairs of eyes turned in my direction; I flushed.
“Why are you all looking at me?” I asked.
Charisma started to laugh. “Angel, did you know that you have the hardest time hiding your true feelings?”
I rubbed my head, a sheepish grin on my face. I looked at Will, seeing that he was a greater red then he was before. For some reason that made me happy. I know it was because of me that Will’s flush grew.
“What?” I crossed my arms.
Charisma stood up, bringing Will up with her. I watched as she whispered something in Will’s ear. My eyes went wide as I watched Will’s eyes widen and a glorious red tinge spread across his nose.
Just what is my boss telling Will? My heart’s racing, I can feel.
Just then Will glanced over at me and started to slowly walk over to me. Out of the corner of my eyes I noticed Charisma dragging Amy out of the room. What’s going on?
“What was Charisma telling you?” I asked Will. Will was now standing in front of me, looking up at me. I had to resist the urge to reach out and pull him closer to my body.
“She said I should ask you why you were laughing.” Will answered. He smiled, “a-and she said something else…” Will glanced down, that wonderful flush back on his cheeks.
“What?” I probed. Before I knew it my hand was moving on its own will and was resting on Will’s cheek.
Will’s eyes fluttered, as he looked back up at me. I couldn’t help but notice he took a step closer to me.
“She said… you and I…” Will said something else but he mumbled it.
“You and I what?”
Will screwed up his face, “she said we m-made a c-cute couple.” Will said all in a rush.
Slowly, I moved my thumb across Will’s cheek, “do you agree?” I asked in a whisper, slightly leaning down.
“I-I… do,” Will said, smiling. He stood on his tip toes, bringing our faces even closer. I could feel his breath on my face.
“Does that me…”
“It means, I know I like you, Angel, and I except what that means…”
“That you’re…”
Will nodded, “that I’m gay.”
I smiled, “can I kiss you?”
Will flushed, “you’d better.”
God! I wondered if Will realized what he was doing to me. What he was doing to my… well, to be frank, what he was doing to my body?
Leaning down the rest of the way, I pressed my lips against Will’s. I moved my arms around Will’s waist, sighing softly into the kiss.
I nearly died… no in fact I think I died and was reborn when I felt Will’s small body pressing up against mine.
Will jerked away from me, breathing hard; his eyes were wide and he looked startled.
He started to blink rapidly and I was getting worried. And before I knew it Will’s eyes rolled into the back of his head and he started to fall.
“Will!” I called out, catching him in my arms before he hit the hard floor. I gently shook him, trying to get some reaction from him, but I got nothing. Then he moaned something that made my blood run cold.
“No, dad, please don’t.” Will started to tremble in my arms.
“Oh God.” I gasped, not expecting something like this. Will was basically convulsing in my arms.
“Charisma!” I yelled.
Startled by the desperate sound in my voice (that’s what I assumed), Charisma and Amy ran into the room.
“What happened?” Charisma asked, as I laid Will down on my couch. I looked up at Charisma and gave a helpless shrug.
“I don’t know… everything was going… good… then…” I looked down at Will, who was tossing and turning; he was in the throws of a very bad nightmare. Or could it be a very bad memory that just suddenly came back to him?
“Tell us exactly what happened; what were you doing before he passed out?” Amy asked firmly. I could tell by her voice that Amy had slipped into therapist Amy and not fun-loving, giggly Amy.
I could feel that my cheeks were starting to burn, but I tried not to think of how embarrassing it would be to tell Amy and Charisma what Will and I had been doing.
“Well, okay… we were kissing and I put my arms around Will… Will moved closer to me, accidentally… well,” I glanced down, “pushing our bodies together… My body reacted a little and Will jumped away from me looking startled… then…” I glanced at Will.
“That happened,” I said quietly, nodding at Will as he shivered on my couch.
I already knew that Charisma had filled Amy in on everything and I could almost see the wheels turning in Amy’s eyes as she thought over things.
“Ohh!” I exclaimed, “and then… Will said,” I shivered at the memory, “no, dad, please don’t.”
“What I’m guessing is when your penis reacted to Will’s body pressing against it, Will’s subconscious remembered something his father did to him; maybe Will’s father forced him to get him off.”
My eyes were wide and my face was blood red. I couldn’t believe how blunt Amy was. How could she say penis out loud? That’s so embarrassing!
“But he’s so sweet,” Charisma whispered, running her fingers soothingly through Will’s hair. It looked like what a mother would do for her sick child.
Amy nodded, “I saw that the first moment I laid eyes on him. Will has the wide eyes of an innocent child; it’s really hard to believe that under that cute smile, something so hideous lies.”
I knelt down next to Will, laying my head on his chest. “Will, I’m sorry.” I whispered. “I’m so sorry.” I started to sob.
A weak moan reached my ears, making me jump away from Will. Will’s eyes were slightly parted.
I blinked; Will pushed himself up, rubbing his wet eyes. “Angel,” Will whispered, “why are you crying?” he asked, in a shaky voice.
Will’s POV:
Oh God! I feel like I’m going to die. My body feels like death warmed over. How can a horrible memory like that stay hidden in my mind?
I feel so confused and so angry. I don’t even understand if this memory really happened or is it something I dreamt about.
It was horrible…
I was enjoying myself, kissing Angel, then the next thing I knew I was slammed with a memory so foul that it shook my entire being.
My… dad did things to me… he made me do things to him…
Oh God.
I guess I passed out, because the next thing I knew I was lying on the couch and looking up at a crying Angel. Seeing Angel cry really upset me.
But even though it upset me… it made me feel a little happy. I so don’t understand myself. Why would seeing Angel cry over me make me feel upset and happy at the same time?
“Angel, why are you crying?” I asked.
“I’m crying because you scared me so much,” Angel said, still sobbing. “Are you okay? Can I hug you?”
I tilted my head to the side, wondering why Angel would ask that instead of just doing it.
“I-I… guess I’m really not okay,” I admitted.
“Please do hug me, Angel… I feel like I’m going to f-fall apart.” I started to cry.
I don’t want to remember! Make me not remember!
In less then a heartbeat, I was in Angel’s arms.
“Shh,” Angel soothingly murmured into my ear. “It’ll be okay. I’m here. I’m here.”
“I’ll always be here.”
Despite the hell I was going through, I smiled when I heard Angel say that.
