Leaf walked over to the door as the person standing there knocked. He opened the door, blinking a few times in confusion.
Old Doc Minna, a doctor that gave check ups at his school, walked into the house. He looked over all the teens inside, turning to Leaf.
"Ahh, Mr. Keoem. I came by to check up on your health." Doc said.
Leaf blinked again, "huh?"
"Well, you didn't show up for school..."
"Oh!" Leaf shook his head, "I'm not sick."
At that moment, Meelina walked into the room, carrying glass plate full of cookies. The women looked up, giving a small gasp, and dropping the plate. The plate hit the ground, shattering.
Hero, Manna and Toni at once ran over to help Meelina clean up, while Leaf gave his mom a curious look. He wondered what had caused her to drop the plate, and why did she gasp?
Doc eyed Meelina for a moment and looked back at Leaf, "oh?"
"Yes, you see, my cousin showed up and..." Leaf pointed to Key. "It was last minute and I had to help him move in and what not."
Doc nodded, "I see. All right then." Doc walked to the door. "See you at school on Monday."
Leaf nodded, telling Doc bye.
Once Doc was gone, Leaf walked over to his mother, "Meelina, what made you drop the plate?" he asked, looking at the clearly shaken women.
"N-nothing, I tripped is all." Meelina took a deep breath, "excuse me." she said, rushing pass Leaf and to her bedroom.
Leaf sighed, looking up at his bedroom ceiling. At the moment he was all alone. Key, at Leaf's urging, went out with Hero and Manna. Toni had gone to her part time job. Meelina was in her bedroom. Ever since Doc left, she'd been locked in her room. Leaf was worried about his mother. He knew something was really bothering her, but he couldn’t understand what. And what did Doc have to do with Meelina's behavior?
//Flashback//
"Hey, umm, Hero, do you think you could watch Key for awhile? I feel like being along." Leaf had a lot on his mind, and didn't need Key's constant questions.
Hero glanced at Key. He didn't really like the teen, but for Leaf he would keep an eye on him. "Sure, he can come with Manna and me. We're going to a movie."
"Oh, okay, let me get him some money." Leaf said.
"Nah, that's okay, I have enough money." Hero said.
"Oh, thank you! Hero you're my best friend!" Leaf grinned. "Key, go with Hero and Manna and umm, mind them, kay?"
"Yes mas… Leaf." Key smiled, attaching himself to Manna. Manna blinked, looking at the white haired teen.
Toni giggled, "he really is touchy feely, huh?"
"So I've learned," Leaf muttered.
"Hehe, well, I'm gonna go now." Toni groaned. "I have to work today, but lucky for Manna and the guys I work at the theater."
"Why is that lucky?" Key asked, not even sure what a theater was.
"Cause I can get them a discount." Toni said.
/End Flashback/
"I wonder what movie they saw..." Leaf got up from his bed, going over to his window. "Wonder if I'll ever see those lights again."
"Wow!" Key grinned, grabbing Hero and Manna's hands. They were sitting on either side of him. "That's cool. How'd they get in there?"
Manna giggled.
"They're not really in there," Hero whispered, wondering why Key took to holding his and Manna's hands. Hero leaned over, trying to explain how the theater and TV worked. Key nodded, though Hero could tell he wasn't really getting it.
“Ohhh, what are they doing?” Key yelled, causing many to angrily shush him. Key’s hold on Hero and Manna’s hands tightened. He didn’t understand why people sounded so mad and was yelling at him. In fact it really upset him.
Hero sighed, glancing at Key. He was getting ready to tell the teen to shut up, when he saw the look in Key’s eyes. Key looked absolutely frightened and incredibly adorable. That shut Hero right up.
“If you promise to be quiet through the rest of the movie, I’ll explain what they’re doing, kay?” Hero whispered in Key’s ear.
At the moment a couple on the movie screen was heavily making out. This was an R-rated movie, after all. Toni had managed to get them tickets for it when her boss wasn’t looking.
Key nodded, his eyes wide.
“So when you really like someone you kiss them and…” Hero basically went on explaining the birds and the bees to Key; Key whose eyes were as round as saucers.
“So sex…”
Hero flushed, putting a hand over Key’s mouth, “don’t say that word so loud.” Hero hissed. At the moment, he, Key and Manna were sitting in a café at the mall.
“Tee hee, sorry,” Key said. “So that word is something you do with someone when you really really really like them?”
Hero chuckled, “yeah, but only if both people are ready to go that far.”
“Umm, well you explained how a guy and a girl do it, but what about two guys?” Key asked innocently.
Manna choked on her soda, her cheeks going red. Hero’s eyes went wide, “oh…”
“Can’t two guys or two girls do it?” Key asked.
“Y-yeah,” Hero said, nodding.
“So how do they do it?”
Hero glanced at Manna, “You want to tell him?”
Manna gave Hero a blank look; she then rolled her eyes as if saying, ‘what do you think?’
“I didn’t think so.”
“Well, from what I’ve read a guy… the manlier guy takes his… ahh, I’m not explaining this with my sister sitting across from me.” Hero said, flustered.
Manna started to giggle. She made a shape of a ‘O’ with her left hand then inserted her finger in and out of the ‘O’.
“Ack, Manna, you pervert! You already know how two guys do it?”
Manna nodded, a weird twinkle in her eyes.
