full length album "After The Eulogy"?
BSF-Amazing, via email and when we meet people after shows, people have been very supportive of the record...
P-Is there any specific reason why a war theme was chosen for this album?
BSF-The "death" of leftist causes where we have been written off as ineffective and impotent parallels war.
P-After recording your split with Shai Halud where both
bands cover Metallica songs, who do you think did the better job?
BSF-To be honest with you I haven't listened to it yet but I'd say that we did the better job.
P-If Snapcase and Boy Sets Fire were in a fist fight who would win?
BSF-Duh us...because we'd be armed with empty beer bottles.
P-Who writes the lyrics and what do they deal with?
BSF-Nathan. They deal with everything from classism, rape/molestation, workers rights to social and personal topics.
P-What style of music would you guys classify yourselves under?
BSF-Rock and roll.
P-How would you describe it to somebody who has never
heard that sort of thing before?
P-Kinda like the music of N Sync with lyrics like Rage.
P-What makes you guys stand out from anything else?
BSF-We make sure we have fun, with having such political lyrics all the time, you have to make sure you lighten up and have fun too to balance it out.
P-Where do you guys plan to be in ten years?
BSF-On tour with DAS FOX
P-What was the feeling like joining the Victory Records family?
BSF-Great, they have amazing distribution, we like to get our message to as many people as possible. They helped us create exactly what we had envisioned
through great funding and support.
P-Was it sad leaving Initial Records?
BSF-I wasn't involved with the band while they were on Inital, but I know there are still very good feelings towards Andy and Initial.
P-Who are your guys' favorite bands? influences?
BSF-Rage

P-Do you think there are any bands out right now that
are pushing the limits or who we should keep an ear out for?
BSF-The Hope Conspiracy, Old Man Gloom, J Mascis and the Fog
P-What feeling goes through you when you see the kids going crazy to your music?
BSF-It was really weird to get used to, because before I was in `BSF I was in a lot of bands that really didn't get any reaction when we played (maybe
because we sucked) but to go from a band that plays to 50 kids who just kinda stand there, to playing in front of kids who go off was a huge change, and it blew me away and kind of intimidated me at first...now I just kinda feed off of it, and it makes me get into the music more.
P-Do you notice any difference between the North
American kids and the kids in other parts of the
world, in regards to the hardcore scene?
BSF-I think the kids in Europe are a lot more politically active, we definitely get a lot more places to stay in Europe, but people are for the most part the same wherever you go.
P-Is there any special memories you can recall from
playing a show?
BSF-Kids getting buck ass naked when we play our hometown.
P-Do you guys perform any special rituals or traditions
while practicing or playing?
BSF-Nope...but I do know that Beau from Avail pees in a cup while onstage before every show. Maybe I should start peeing somplace huh?
P-What is the official saying of hardcore?
BSF-"We'd like to thank Das Fox..."
P-What might we expect from you guys in the future?
BSF-More touring, more songwriting, new songs. More rock.
