This unknown singer to somepeople is named Björk! She is my favorite female artist! I heard about her when I was 13 from my best friend, Leanne. At first, I didn't like her music or her mysterious voice. When I was 15 I started to listen to her and began to adore her voice and her music. She has been my favorite singer since then. She is a wonderful songwriter, I wish I had her talent. Everytime I put one of her CD's on I feel happy. Her impish attitude reminds me of a pixie. She is so adorable. Here are some facts about her.

Tiny Discography: She released her first album when she was 11 years old, then she and some other icelandic teens started a band called Kukl, which means sorcery in Icelandic. Later in 1986 she became the lead singer of the Icelandic Band- Sykurmolar or better known as The Sugarcubes. Also in that year she had a son named Sindri. In 1992 The Sugarcubes broke and Björk started her own very successful solo carrer. Debut, her first album, was released in 1993, Post in 1995, an album of remixes of Post titled Telegram in 1996, Homogenic in 1997, and her final album so far Selmasongs in 2000. Her last album is the soundtrack to a movie/musical Björk recently stared in called Dancer in the Dark. Her role in this movie she won Best Actress in a Film at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. Dancer in the Dark and Selmasongs have increased her popularity. She has been in magazines such as Elle, Vanity Fair, Seventh Sky, Q, Newsweek, and Rolling Stones. Right now she is working on the release of another new album that will be released sometime in 2001 titled Domestika.
