New EP and Future Plans (10/15/04)
As you know, Defcon 4 is going to be a "recording band" for a while.
That means, we're not going to play shows. We have made plans
to record a new 4 track EP. We'll be recording sometime in 2005. We haven't
decided on the track list yet. After this EP we might
record another one. If all this goes as planed, we'll have 3 EPs under our
belt. We might make an anthology out of them.
"Road" and "Getting it Over With" will appear on the Recourse Comp (7/25/04)
The Unreleased song "Road" and the previously released song "Getting it Over With", will appear on the Recourse Records Compilation.
Check out the "Road" lyrics here
EP, no LP (6/12/04)
We've decided to produce an EP instead of an LP. We're not sure of the track list but we're shooting for
2 tracks at the least, 5 at the most.
Defcon 4 on PureVolume (3/19/04)
A new song can be streamed and/or downloaded at our purevolume.com
account! About time huh?
The song is titled "Driven to the Edge". This song was recorded back
in '02 with the classic
4-piece lineup. This song was going to appear on the new LP, but now we have
mixed feelings
about it. What do you guys think? Should we put it on? E-mail me
your thoughts.
As for this new LP that we keep talking about... It's only halfway
complete. It's taking longer then we
thought. If it takes even longer, we might just release a small EP or
something. Enjoy the new song!
"I Declare I Don't Care No More..." HUH?? (12/29/03)
It appears that BurnOut, Dan's
side project, might call it quits. It's sad news. Defcon 4 has a long-standing
friendship with BurnOut and its' members, all of which have at one time
or another played with the band. We wish
the members good luck with their future projects.
Also, it seems that this news has summoned up a few anti-BurnOut comments and
hot-shots on the band's
message board. All I have to say to that is that whoever's posting
are cowards for not leaving their real names,
and as with people who have messed with Defcon 4 in the past, I don't see
these guys trying to play or write better than
BurnOut did, so just shut up already.
No new Defcon 4 news right now, but check out the Recourse
Records site for new developments there. - Rob

Song Update (12/5/03)
"Armageddon Song" is the song that is being worked on right now.
I'm going to update every time
we are working on a new song. And let you know how things are going with it.
Also, I would like to know every time someone checks out the site, so can you
please either
sign the Guestbook or the Message Board ("Forum" link) . I'd prefer
if you guys would sign
the Message Board. I'm going to start posting there again. But I'll only
post if you guys do.
Defcon 4 Hates Defcon 4? (11/6/03)
For some of you that may or may not know. There is another band called "Defcon
4".
Their based out of Boston, Mass. I (Dan) had a not so pleasant conversation
with
one of the members online. Click here
to view the AIM conversation. (I'm "Beshdude86").
