In case you missed something...
08.14.02 I know its only rock and roll, but I like it. So, stuff is goin down. We had an awesome weekend. Three shows, back to back. The backyard show was great, despite the fact we only played two songs and it ended early, but the next night we played in New Hampshire, at the Sad Cafe. Even though we played for the other bands pretty much, we did our thing, got a live recording of the show, and saw an excellent band from Maine, Low-Five. We ended the weekend Sunday night at the Fat Cat downtown with LIARC and I am Disaster, and our name was even on the marquee and everything! We just sent our t-shirts out to get printed, they should be ready and for sale at shows soon. We are recording, no joke this time, we have studio time booked for next week, so we may finally have something for all you kids to listen to. We'll be playing this Friday at the Cornerstone. You dont want to miss this one - The Travoltas, The Eleventh Hour, Sonny, Scattered, etc. etc... Come before 5:00 and its cheaper, so Im sure I'll see you all there.
-Greg
08.08.02 - Back Up And Runnin' And Keepin' On Walkin' On Broken Glass Okay, the site was in fct deleted in error so we got it back in the house and doing our thing. I'd like to thank everyone who was at the Pavillion August 2nd. That was one of our best shows ever. Everyone was going nuts and singing along and just all around having fun. Hopefully we'll be able to play a lot more shows like that in the future. Bill from Scattered was there playing for Greg, prompting girls to suddenly feel a sweet, passionate longing for him. Anyway, today's my birthday, if anyone cares. Be sure to check out the sickness at Kevin's annual backyard show/BBQ tomorrow. Starts around three o'clockish. Check out the spectacle, including some of the best bands from western Mass and beyond. I know I'll see you all there (details on the shows page). Later guys.
-Dan
07.24.02 - Tony vs. The Sulli-van Ladies and Gents...long time, no post. Yeah, so our second time out at the Flywheel, and all I can say is that it kicked the shit outta the first time. And hey, maybe three's the charm, huh? Well, we're back there in September, so look out for that. A lot of cool people out there, good atmosphere (not literally, as it's 20 million degrees inside). I suggest you make the trip if you haven't before. Hey - big thanks to everyone who came to the show in Monson as well. That show definitely rocked. You guys should all check out one of the bands that played, Murdock, they definitely kicked their fair share of ass as well. Anyway, the t-shirt order will be sent out by friday. Look for some new shows up soon...we'll be outta state a little bit.
-Kevin
07.01.02 - Pick up the stick, Dickhead. Yeah, so The Marconi Club show was pretty damn kick-ass. We finally had the long awaited debut of Dan Gibbs. Nice Guy(He sleeps alone by the way). He messed up a little. But, hey - that would be why we turned his amp down, right? So Dan and Jim are down at White Sands Beach all week(ya know, where the sands aren't all that white). This leaves Greg, Gibbs and myself to sit around and play with ourselves. Which is fun, but it gets old pretty quick. Oh, and check this out...So I'm going to The Home Depot the other day, and I find this big canvas sheet and ya know what I say to myself? I say to myself, "I'm gonna make a big Sixfinger banner." So I bought it and the rest is(was?) history. So needless to say, we'll have a banner at our next show. Should be grand. Yeah, speaking of next show's...our next scheduled show is The double-header, action-packed night of July 12th where we will be playing two shows. We're playing early out in Monson at the Teen Center and then sometime a little later back home at The Cornerstone(check the shows page for details). So for all you devoted fans out there(heh), feel free to follow us around all night. Should be fun. Until then...Peace, Love and Black Power, baby!
-Kevin
06.21.02 - Spaceboy, I miss you. Yeah, so two nights, two shows, a lot of great music. I just got home from the Marconi Club. Although my ears are still ringing from I Am Disaster's three guitars, it was well worth it. Last night's Cornerstone show was well worth your seven bucks as well. Thanks a bunch to Fake ID for coming out, and to Landis for coming all the way from NJ to rock out with us. It'll be hard to follow two shows like that, but I think we just might have one to be just as excited for: next friday the 28th, Marconi madness again, this time w/ the Eleventh Hour, Stinkbomb, Scattered, and more. You want to make sure you keep coming out, the new tunes are in the list and kicking major ass, and if all goes as planned we should be in the studio by the end of the summer, recording a brand new demo for all you crazy kids. So, damn school is over, I encourage everyone to make the most of the summer. Keep loving your music, and come out to some shows. ¡Hasta la malakan!... or however you spell it.
-Gregory
06.06.02 - O'Doyle Rules! Hello boys and girls. ahhhh...how I love Billy Madison...anyway, huge thanks to everyone at the Cornerstone on Friday. I'd say that show did some ass-kicking. Oh! Did we get our stickers in today you ask? Damn stright. 2,000 six finger stickers all for you guys. 50 cents each. Okay, We have an urgent announcement to make: WE ARE NOW ON THE FLYWHEEL SHOW WITH THE SKEPTICS, INFAMOUS JAKE, 5 BUCKS, BLIND LUCK MUSIC AND BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE. This show is Friday (as in tommorow). Only the first 150 people are allowed in so show up early kids. This show WILL rock. That's about it for now. Peace out, Jigga.
-Kevin
05.26.02 - Smokeout! Hey everyone. Quite an odd show last friday. Those of you that were in attendance can back me up there. Fun none the less, and we got to check out some up and coming bands in Never the Heroes, Another Lecture (their drummer's like 10... he's gonna be sick), This Side Down, and Original Copy who we are playing with again at the Cornerstone June 20. Anyway, the sticker order has been backed up for awhile due to complications so I can't guarantee when they'll be in (they haven't even been shipped yet). I'm gonna call in for some studio time up at Dead Air; the sooner that's done, the better. Well, that's all I can think of. Oh, and I'm in the middle of designing t-shirts as well... Next show: Cornerstone, Friday, May 31 (details on the shows page). Hasta Luego.
-Kevin
05.18.02 - And We're Rockin' Out... Hey there Six Finger fans, thanks to everyone who came out to Monson last night, another fun show at the Teen Center. It was good to see Third Season, yet another band ready to play, and older bands like Skarmy still rockin' out. We have another show there next Friday, same time, and the Friday after that at the Cornerstone (May 31) is Scattered's record release party. We have a bunch of stickers coming soon, so bring your pocket change and you can be cool too. You'll also be seeing a 3 or 4 song demo out in the near future. Lots of good shows coming up, our new bass player should be with us within the next couple shows, and were rockin out some brand new tunes, so we'll see you at the shows...
-Greg
05.07.02 - Five Finger? Sixfinger is now a five-piece. We've recently recruited a new bass player, his name is Dan Gibbs, but for all purposes to avoid confusion we're just going to call him "Gibbs." Anyway, he's a good kid, and he still needs to time to learn all the material, so expect to see him rocking out with us at the Cornerstone on May 31. We should have a bio and stuff up sometime soon. We feel this lineup gives us more versatility both musically and in our live show. He should be recording with us on the new CD. Thanks.
-Dan
05.05.02 - Kenny G. Is The Brothah! Hey everyone, Kevin here. Prom was fun, and I can't dance to save my life. Doty didn't say anything to me so school on Monday should be fun (thanks, Dan). Anyways, it's Cinco de Mayo, one year after we recorded our first demo tape. It's amazing how far we've come in a year. We got a few shows comin' up; check the shows page for dates. I'm gonna send out a mailing list soon, so you'll be all up-to-date. We are heading to the studio within the near future to demo a few songs for comps, mp3.com, and whatever else. We'll head over to Zing sometime in mid-summer and get everything for the cd rolling. So, until next time.
-Kevin
04.08.02 - Marconi Madness. Hey kids, thanks to all who came out for Friday night's show, and to all the bands, especially the Eleventh Hour for coming out from Worchester and kicking some ass for a fairly smaller crowd. We have a whole lot of shows coming up in the next month, and should be rocking out with some new tunes in the near future, so come check us out. The next show is on the 26th with promising newcomers Stricken, and, of course, everyone's favorite fun loving pop-punkers Scattered. Hopefully we'll see you there.
-Greg
03.23.02 - Guestbook-->Sign It. Hey, over the next couple of weeks, I (hopefully with Kevin's help) will be redoing all the graphics on this site with much better quality pictures and artwork. Our graphics look like shit now, and I just can't take it anymore, so bear with us through this change. I also caved and added a guestbook, because I think people might actually sign it. No one seems to know how to use the forum. Well, there's your cue. Thanks.
-Dan
03.16.02 - Monson = Not That Far. I got back from the Cornerstone last night and just fell face down on my bed and went to sleep. It was a crazy show, and I saw this sick band called A New Beginning... Jesus Christ these kids rocked. I was really impressed. I mean I see a lot of good bands all the time, but these kids aren't much older than we are, and they're insane. I threw a link up, you guys should all go check them out. We've got a show tonight at the Monson Teen Center. Should be crazy. And stop complaining, if you're from Springfield, it's only 20-25 minutes. It'll be a crazy show, I hope you'll all try to get there. Later.
-Dan
02.17.02 - We Just Might Record This Time. Greetings. Thanks to everyone who came to the show Friday night. It, as usual, rocked the house. I'd like to give a huge thanks to the Bazookas for driving all the way from Vermont to play and putting up with all kinds of stupid shit, again, thanks. Our next show is March 8th at Minnechaug Regional High School. That'll be our last show for a couple months. We're taking a break to record and get our shit together (we need new material badly). Regardless of whether or not we play, we will put on another Cornerstone show for March. So, until next time.
-Kevin
02.05.02 - Hardcore Kids = Not Gay. Marble Throwing Kids = Gay. Hey, we're playing the Cornerstone again next Friday, the 15th with I Am Disaster, Scattered, Stinkbomb, the Bazookas, Atreyu's Last Words, the Ska Band. Be sure to check it out, it's gonna be crazy. $7 at the door, you guys know how it is. NOTE: Kevin's post earlier was in no way intended to imply that hardcore kids are gay. He was talking about the kids that went to the last show who were throwing marbles and all around being assholes. Just wanted to clear that up. No offense is meant. We are in no way kissing ass, and in no way trying to retract what we said, but we didn't want the hardcore community to think we were insulting them. Later.
-Dan
01.20.02 - Guys, Look At My Marble Collection! Thanks to everyone who came to Friday's show at the Cornerstone. Overall it ran pretty smoothly except for all the gay hardcore kids throwing shit. Well, a couple shows coming up... look for them soon on the shows page. Thanks again.
-Kevin
01.12.02 - Sing-a-long Sixfinger -- The Next Raffi? I just wanna say thanks to the kids that showed up to the Monson show last night, for one of our sickest shows yet. I never expected such a good crowd considering how the Teen Center usually is. Some of you actually knew the words to some of our songs, there's a first. If anyone has any pictures of us that they took at the show, please send them to me at xzist68@aol.com. I'd appreciate it. Don't forget next Friday's show, it's gonna rule ass. Hope to see you all there. Later.
-Dan
01.06.02 - Auld Lang Sine. Happy new year, and some news: well, for those of you that might remember, this is the one year anniversary (if you will) of our first real show. We sucked, but it was a show. We have two shows coming up: the first one is this Friday at the Monson Teen Center (see shows page for details). The second one is next Friday, the 18th, and this one is really gonna rule ass. It's at the Corner Stone on the corner of Page Blvd. and Osborne Terrace in Springfield. It's right near the McDonald's and Burger King. Starts at 6, cost is $7. The line-up includes us, SCATTERED, POINTLESS, SOUTHDOWN, THE GRAND PRIXX, FIVE ACROSS THE EYES, and I AM DISASTER. There might even be a special guest appearance. I recommend checking it out. E-mail me or Kevin for details.
-Dan
12.25.01 - Hockey... Who Needs It Anyway? Most Certainly Not Me. Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their vacation time. WE HAVE A SHOW THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27TH AT MASS SKATE COMPANY IN WESTFIELD, MA WITH THE GRAND PRIXX, FIVE ACROSS THE EYES, THE SKEPTICS, AND DOWNFALL!! STARTS AT SEVEN PM!! BE THERE! We're also working on a New Years show at the Corner Stone on Page Blvd. The show for the 29th is still on... but we're not playing because Kevin and Jim's hockey game was rescheduled for that night, and the 11th show is still on with Scattered, Anavrin and ALW. I'll keep you all posted. Lastly, we pushed recording time back until February vacation in favor of playing more shows and making better new songs so we don't make another CD of rehashed old crap, like we did with the "Three Idiots" EP. So try to get to our shows if you can, and happy holidays.
