if you are familiar with the show "the state," then i need not explain why this is a cause worth fighting for. if you DONT however, i suggest you 1)go to this nice state page (richards "the state" homepage) and find out what its all about, then 2) proceed to sign this petition and demand your dose of "the state!"

while it is highly unlikely the members of the state will join for another season on television, david wain has commented on his webpage that "State projects may happen again someday." for example, they were all recently reunited for the new york commedy film festival (well, minus one, but that is a good turnout nevertheless).

HERE IS WHAT THIS PETITION IS ALL ABOUT... several years ago the state set off on a series of dates across the country, performing in clubs. at the time i was too young to go. i STILL hold it against my parents for not letting me and against myself for not sneaking there. but have they considered another tour, this time a reunion for those of us NOT in new york?!? well lets suggest it, shall we?

sign this petition to encourage members of the state of the large following they still have who would LOVE to see the state in action! pass this around to everyone, post it wherever you can, link it to your pages. eventually i will send the petition to someone who might care (perhaps david wain). lets see what we can accomplish!
