well i think its time for me to post my thoughts on the rebellious band on here....it is a definate must see! these guys are something I've never seen before...they keep you wondering what comes next...it seems to me they can do anything....my recomendation is to see these guys anywhere....they will most sertianly impress you!

"The Future is Now" by The Rebellious Band
I bought this Cd a few weeks back at the Punk Rock Circus show that the Urinal Mints lured me to with their sweet songs. I didnt think too much of it at the time. "Another Punk Cd to throw in the pile by my stereo", i thought. I listened to it once, thought it to be okay and retired back to other Cds. Fast Forward a few weeks later, I relistened to the Cd after rummaging through the pile and came to the conclusion that this damn Compact Disc rules. Ive been listening to it for like 3 days strait now. Except when I left to buy more "Mars Attacks!" merchandise. But this Cd rules. "Poppy Punk", "The Future is now", and especially "Oi! You Suck!" all very kick ass songs. They have a song about Mullets, which I cant say i like, What with people taking that joke and then Raping the hell out of it until its bloody and unusable. Like so many of my girlfriends before I get to meet them. Back to the matter at hand, though... I cant vouche for if they are good live or not, I missed their set, So I advise you to never see them play. Be like me. But, do buy the Cd. Right Now. They make fun of punk rock in a good way. Punk rock needs that.

The Rebellious Band The Future Is Now

Punk has a long standing reputation of taking itself way too seriously. Well, from packaging and liner notes to song titles (such as I hope you get cancer, Revenge of the Mullet, and Fuk Santa) to the story of TRb, The Future is Now by The Rebellious Band provides ample proof that there are bands out there who both play punk music and have senses of humor. This CD will make you laugh, but it’s not just fluff. In addition to the humor and the decent music, you will find a few songs with some real seriousness to them. For instance, Fuk USA Government is a genuine look at the down side of ‘democracy’ and it pays tribute to the perennial connection between punk rock and social issues. Also, the title track, The Future Is Now, is a rousing call for people to enjoy life today, and not squander the opportunities the present has to offer by looking to the nebulous future.
