The Story Behind The Fungus
It all started when luke, hugh and dee decided to make themselves a band.
Originally they were called watch with mother, and had but one song, a musical version of lukes crappy poem about flowers and bambi and shit.
Pete 'goose' goss was meant to join the band after he learned himself the bass gee-tar, but alas jack invited himself in the band annd stole gooses position as mr bass the bass man.
At this point luke was singing, 'an all time low for the band' and although jack sang like a walrus being circumsised it was slightly better than luke, who sounded like 2 walrus's being circumsised.
The band were then called acrid, but seeing as this sucked they changed it to athletes foot. which is nice.
So our first practise as the foot was in hughs room where 2 songs loser and suicidal (which were dropped due to being appaling) were written. We practised more and more and eventually became reasonable. We had around 6 songs and about 3 lying around half made.
But then, we had the opportunity to import matt from toast and all toasts songs, so we could hardly refuse, luke had to go, sorry mate, no hard feelings.
So matt took to the mic leaving jack to wonder what this 'bass' lark was all about.
Then we had planned to seranade some guests at hughs party, we found out dee couldnt make it as alas he had a family dinner, we were later informed he had gone to a fez club whistle party, it was then we realised the level of weenness he possesed and got harry.
did anyone tell dee? his drum kit is still in jacks garage. Does he even know? who can care.
So then hugh played too much cricket and didnt know any of the songs we'd written without him, we no longer played anything before just matt jack and harry's stuff and we were a totally different band, hugh quit. and so now were like the beastie boys changing from a hardcore band to a hip-hop band except we changed from a shite punk band to a shite wannabe punk band. this story is too long and silly now. you dont need to know all that. it's irrelevant.
and then about a year passed and were even worse than we were. great.
