Let's see. hmmmm, well i guess that me and Dan always wanted to start a band. At first we were going to be a classic rock band, me playing keyboard (what the fuck??) and Dan playing guitar. But then we thought that would be horrible so we didn't start a band. then. So then Dan and I were at a show in december of 2001 at "the church" and seeing all those other bands, most high school bands, we became inspired and motivated. Only problems...I didn't play anything, Dan barely new what a guitar was, and who would play bass? Tony King was a really good friend of ours and we found out he plays bass so we were like ok. I got a really old drum set from Greg Lesher and started to teach myself to play. Dan jumped right in and spent like $400 on a guitar, and a shitty 15 watt crate amp. Next decision, what to play. Well, we thought punk seems to be the norm, so being the mindless conformist that we are, we decided to play "punk." So we started playing in my room around feb. of 2002. oh man, we sucked elaphantitis balls, i mean mongo balls. Balls so big, god couldn't suck them. ok. We started this one song, with dan playing the same 4 chorded noise over and over, tony doing the same, and me playing the easest drum beat. we wrote lyrics consisting of dan whining about katie warren his ex girlfriend and this party we went to where she was drunk of her bubble butt and dan was sad and mad and then sad some more. so this song was called last friday. we were some grade a bubble gum pop punk band- my worst nightmare. We thought we were the shizznittal van schnip snap snap. wrong. Any way, we played this song every day for 4 months. We thought we were cool. Then we finally came to the harsh realization that we suck. So we practiced more and tried to put a little bit o' complexity into the song writing. I started to write the lyrics and we started to write with a more political/social idea going. So then this summer we practiced a lot more and got ok. we have more songs and dropped last friday off the bill. We also do a couple of covers. SO yeah. We've had the same members from the very beginning, no stories of apathy and hatred. We basically do this shit because we love music and hate everything else. well, at least me. oh yeah, the free beer and the groupees, who could forget. NEW HISTORY: Eugene Marino this crazy mofo joined our band, playing guitar. He is really wierd, does lots of drugs, and skateboards. We should be sounding a lot better with this addition. Oh yeah the girls wil love us now, cuz marino is one sexy brother man.
