2/7 - Hi everyone. I can't believe it's been so long since I wrote an update for the site, but I guess it's been a while after all. Well, here's what's up. First of all, congratulations are due to Lenny and Chris, both of whom are winners in the year-end readers' poll in the Boston music magazine The Noise. Chris won in the "Other Instrument" category (that is, for an instrument other than guitar, bass, drums, or keyboards), and Lenny took top honors in the "Male Vocalist" and "Stage Presence" categories. Again, congratulations to both of them! A lot of you have asked about the album. We finished mastering it in the fall, so it's more or less complete at this point. Now we're trying to find a label to release it. We did a photo shoot with photographer extraordinaire Mike Byrne on Halloween at the USS Salem in Quincy. As it happened, this turned out to be one of the last really nice days of 2004, and the shots came out looking excellent. One of the shots from the session will probably end up being the album cover. Which one? We don't know yet, but you can see some of the pictures on the photos page. I've also added some photos from the album sessions over the summer. And speaking of the photo page, feel free to check out some of the pictures I took in Japan in October. Watching the Sox/Yankees playoff games from hotel rooms in Nagahama and Tokyo was an unusual experience, to say the least. Not to be outdone, Chris went to Germany for a week in December to see Motorhead. Piss Poor Boys fun fact: Tommy Long speaks fluent Japanese. Upcoming gigs: We'll be at the Overdraught in Cambridge on Saturday, Feb. 12th with the Country Doctors, and also at the Middle East upstairs (also in Cambridge) on March 17th (St. Patrick's Day!) with Three Day Threshold, the Gobshites, and the Pug Uglies - Jon Johnson
I'm working on a new website, so your gonna have to deal with this for now. There are a ton of new pictures, I will put them up with the new site. Sorry bout the wait. - Scott Cappellini(Webmaster)
