Suddenly I turned around
My whole world disappeared
I was in a different element
I wasn’t suffocating
or being held down here

I was looking out for myself
Walking alone
But walking differently
I too had changed
Because of my new surroundings
Forced to but unobjectively open to it

I had grown a bit stronger
I had walked a bit taller
This new element
Had given me confidence Like none I had possesed before
Confidence to walk this path alone and be proud of that
