Superhero syndrom:
Everybody wants to be a superhero. In the deepest, darkest, part of every mans psyche is a superhero waiting for his chance to emerge, for most it never does. But reguardless of whom I ask, there isn't anyone who hasn't admitted to wanting to be the savior of the day. Rescuing the school or the girl or the friendship, whatever it may be, people have dreamt of performing daring acts of goodness or evil in the name of riteousness for its sake. Maybe its been sewn into the fabric of American society, or maybe people have just watched Die Hard one too many times. I think that at least once in everyones life, they should act out on that hero, and live that life, if only for a fleeting moment.
How nice is too nice:
I'm generally the type of person who tries to be everyone friend. If not a close one, atleast I like to be considered friendly by people. It really bothers me when people don't like me, especially for reasons I can't comprehend. But how much is too much? When does it become apparent that people just aren't goin to like you reguardless of what you may do? Just tonight I was told that I'm acting like "A stupid dog, running itself over and over into an electric fence. I just don't know when to quit." A rather humerous way of putting it yea, but it made me think, is my outlook on life really that wrong. Was "fuck it" the right attitude to take? Are people just so full of hatred, that they can't even say hi? Am I that retarded for thinking that theres really a great person inside everyone. Maybe, but another friend told me, that "Your only stupid if you let your 'friends' walk all over you, because then they aren't really your friends at all." he also added that if I really needed some help he'd get a rolled up newspaper to beat the dog away from the fence, but thats a side issue. Well, time will tell I guess.
Background music, the kick ass or no:
I asked a few friends the other day, what they thought life would be like if we had background music. They thought it amusing a and dismissed it as random thoughts, which really it still is. But I thought I might ask anyone that came stumbling across this website, what they think of the subject. What would happen if people had music playing in the background of their lives. People in movies always have music playing, its a way of better expressing a persons mood, and the kind of situation they are in. Though it is doubtful anyone would need an increasing note of suspense, as if they were disarming a bomb. It would make life a lot more interesting if walking down the street, you continually heard some Green Day - Time of Your Life. How about getting into a fight while playing Stroke 9 - Kick some ass. Or Talking to someone special theres some Eagle Eyed Cherry - Save Tonight. It would just be another way of expressing yourself, and maybe an easier way of people learning what kind of mood your in, and help them better understand you. Its just something to turn over in your head, while bored, maybe you'll start singing songs to yourself while doing things more often now, maybe you'll think I'm even more coked up, I don't know. But I do know its fun to let your mind wander, just don't let it get too far.
What is Love (Not the haddaway version):
I have continually been debating with a friend of mine about the complete existance of love. He continually argues the point that if u can't touch it, smell it, feel it, taste it, or see it, it doesn't really exist. I stated that you can in fact feel love, since it affects every portion of your being in how and why you act. But Chemically speaking, love isn't any different from eating large amounts of choclate, and you feel that just the same way. Thought I have rallyed some friends and we greatly outnumber him (3 to 1). How are you supposed to argue something you have never experienced in your life?
The subject of love, it means so much these days:
With over 6 billion people in this world, I'd like to wish friend and foe alike, good luck, I hope you all find your soul-mate.
A good sign:
You know its a good day, when you get two pink starburst in one of those halloween size starburst packages!, ok thats enough random stuff for one day, well maybe two.
Relish your friends:
For my friends: I know half of you as much as I should, and the other half, not nearly as much as I would like. Sorry for being so busy as of late, and not hanging out w/ all of you as much as I would like to.
Get up Get out!:
A lot of people have been in the dumps recently, among them some of my closest friends. But, be they close or not, when there sad I can't be happy. People, in my humble opinion, need to just forget the past. Get Up Get Out! Go out, and enjoy the goregous day outside, Springs here! Don't worry what any one else has to say, "Carpe Diam". It'll make you feel that much better at the end of the day/week/month/...
