A new year... and a new club. We had a cool show despite the 'wonderful' weather. Whoever wrote the song "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" should be hit in the head with one of those metal freesbie saucers. With 12-15 inches of snow falling over the area Friday night, we were pretty sure our first gig at The Vault was going to end up cancelled. Fortunately, by morning the roads were plowed and most of the white stuff had fallen.
For those wondering... believe the hype! The Vault is one of the best new clubs this area has seen in a long while. It's the old Key Bank on Front St. in downtown Port Jervis, and with major restoration, has been converted into a very cool NYC style club. Out came the teller booths and bank safe, and in went a fully stocked bar, a stage, in house sound system, and dance floor.
We also met some very cool people, most of whom have never made it over the mountain to catch our shows in Middletown. Who knew that Port Jervis could be this cool!!!
Shout-outs to..... Niss, Kris (time for a rewind baby!!!), & Danno,... Ed, Joe, EB, Brother Bob, & Ashley,... Pete, Jimi from Id... Mike D from PTM,... Cathy H. & fiancee' (Holy Class Reunion), Erica & Eddie,... Erin, Mindy, & Jennie Lynn (put down that Long Island Iced Tea and back away, Ma'am),... all of the first timers from the Vault... Jimmy Jam, Scott, Eric, Keri and her friends, Tom from Spud Monk for the great mixing job, and of course Craig & Jamie and the entire staff at The Vault for having us.
Finally, here are the damn pics....Happy New Year!!!
WHERE NEXT? - Saturday, Jan 11th, at The Downtown, in Middletown, NY.
The fun starts at 10:00pm and goes until we all pass out from exhaustion.
