Unnecessary War
It looks as if the United States is going to war with Iraq
whether or not the United Nations finds nuclear weapons.
President Bush is activating troops and positioning them for an attack.
Bush's actions appear knightly, but just like a king, he's sending people to die.
I would understand if nuclear weapons had been found, but inspectors
haven't found any. People will die for no reason.
It's not that I have no national pride. But I am not willing to die
for a cause that I don't believe in.

Strike First
Recently I watched the film Tora, Tora, Tora, about how the
Japanese attacked pearl harbor in 1941. The situation before the attack-the
threats, the negotiations, the diplomacy- was the same as it is now with
North Korea.
The North Koreans aren't against only the United States, they are
against the world. Their leader is corrupted by absolute power, while the people starve.
What are we waiting for? Another Pearl Harbor? Another 9/11?

Are we really safe? That's what many of many of us ask after
the September 11th attacks.
One thing is certain: If we don't try
to stop dictators and terrorist now while they are weaker, we
will not stop them later when they grow stronger. By that time we
might find our selves surrounded by Hitlers and Husseins,
Striking fear in our nation again.
If that time comes, there will be nothing that
can stop them, not even the strongest of nations.
