Meji Era, 140 years ago, Kyoto Japan, a samurai known as Hitokiri Battosai struck fear into during the war of the Bakumatsu era.
/Start-of-act-one/ Kenshin Himura Battosai: Dead night, a traveler walks about Tokyo and because of terror of the Hitokiri Battosai walking about klling everyone. Hence, the traveler meets a young dojo master whom is looking for the Hitokiri. After learning that this traveler is not the Battosai, and finding out whom the real Battosai is, the young dojo master brings herself home. The next day the dojo mistress goes out to find the traveler walking about the streets of Tokyo being aressted for carrying a sword. After dodging this incident, the traveler and the dojo mistress talk and they both go their seperate ways. The traveler goes to find out about the murders and the Battosai, whereas the dojo mistress/master goes home.
At her house she finds trouble, as so does the traveler. After escaping his trouble, the traveler runs to the rescue of the dojo mistress, meawhile showing his radical speed and swordsmen ship. In return of the swords mens kindness, the dojo mistress offers to let the one with no desination to board or stay at the dojo. /End-of-act-one/
/Start-of-act-two/ Rurouni in the City: After showing how useful he could be, the traveler (Kenshin from now on) takes on a number of chores in the dojo and soon after, heads out to Tokyo with the dojo mistress (Kaoru-dono from now on) to get supplies to show off his supreme culinary skills. But, in town, they run into more trouble; the sword police. After a confrontation between Kenshin and the sword police, the general of the Army's Ground Troops, and we learn the real reason why Kenshin carries a sword and why he uses his swordsman ship./End-of-act-number-two/
/Start-of-act-three/ Tokyo Samurai: After turning down fifteen students whom came to the dojo the day after Kenshin crushed the sword police, Kenshin and Kaoru-dono walk into the busy streets of Tokyo. On their way back, they meet up with a restless pick-pocket (Yahiko).
After Yahiko and Kenshin talk (more or less, Kenshin being yelled at by Yahiko >.>) we see Yahiko down by a creek and seems that his accomplisses (okay, bosses) want their money. Yahiko is beaten and takin to the head hacho for the way he speaks to the two men. But, Kaoru-dono happens to see Yahiko being takin away and has Kenshin take some action.
Kenshin "convinces" the boss and his men to let Yahiko and leaves, the people in complete fear. Upon making it back to the dojo, Kenshin tells Yahiko that he can learn swordsmenship he, but not by Kenshin, but by Kaoru-dono./End-of-act-three/
/Start-of-act-four/ Kasshin-Ryu Reborn: This act opens up with Kaoru-dono and Yahiko not getting along to well and Yahiko asking Kenshin to teach him instead of Kaoru-dono. Then, while Kenshin is away, two of the dojo's former students come barging in, being chased by a a swordsmen Yazuka.
Kaoru-dono fights off the first two members of the Yazuka, and has both of the former students come in the dojo. Once again, more of the Yazuka members charge in. The students try to plea to Kaoru-dono to help them escape the Yazuka whom are accusing them of a crime towards the Yazuka.
But, Yahiko sees right through the two former students of the dojo. Then suddenly, BAM! A wooden cannon ball flies through the dojo's wall. Koaru-dono, being hard-headed insists on protecting her former students and stands up to the Yazuka.
Then, Kenshin trots in. Ofcourse, trying to resort to the peaceful way, but nope and Kenshin makes the day safe again. <_< /End-of-act-four/
