This was written before the days of the WWF owning the WCW. I think from who’s involved in these matches, you will recognize about the time period this was written in.
The show starts off with Vince Russo coming down and ranting and raving how he's just waited for the opportunity to get back at Vince McMahon, and how after tonight, Vinnie Mac is finally going to appreciate him.
"No Chance in Hell"
begins to play and out comes Vince. He just laughs at Russo saying that Russo
was good, but he was better, and that's the real reason he went to WCW, because
he knew that only in WCW could he have some good ideas, and that there is no
chance in hell of WCW coming out on top tonight.
Eddie Guerroro vs. Big Vito
--Big Vito comes out to the ring
first and asks Eddie if he wants this to be hardcore. Eddie talks things over
with Chyna and Eddie says no. Vito accepts it, and the match begins. Eddie
takes it to Vito with highflying moves, but Vito takes a lot of punishment and
keeps coming hitting Eddie with his power moves. Just when Vito thinks he has
the match one, he climbs to the top for his jumping DDT. Out of nowhere, Eddie
leaps at him, nailing the hurracarana from the top rope, and pins him for the
win. Eddie and Chyna celebrate, and Vito walks away.
Val Venis vs. Scott Steiner
--Val comes to the ring with
Trish, while Scott comes to the ring with Midajah. Scott dominates Val, until
Trish gets up and nails Scott with a chair while the ref is down. Scott isn't
affected. He turns around and grabs Trish. Val gets up and grabs the chair and
nails Steiner, knocking him down. Midajah runs over and gets into a cat fight
with Trish. Venis takes up the offense on Scott briefly until Scott comes out
of nowhere with a powerslam. Then Scott locks on the Steiner Recliner and
forces Val to submit. On the outside of the ring, Trish throws Midajah on to
the announce table, then quickly retreating when Scott climbs out of the ring
to help his freak out. Trish pulls Val out of the ring, and they quickly leave.
Rikishi Fatu vs. Shane Douglas
--Shane comes out with Tori and
they talk about how it is time for the WWF to get Franchised after them
screwing him over all those years ago. Rikishi comes out to a huge pop and
climbs into the ring, where he is immediately attacked by Shane. Shane takes it
to Rikishi, using his speed to his advantage. Rikishi then comes back with a
monster Somoan Drop. He then throws Shane into the corner and backs that ass up
with the stinky face. Out of nowhere the Right to Censor storm the ring while
Tori destracts the ref. The Right to Censor attack Rikishi viciously, and then
leaves the ring. Shane goes for the cover, but at the last minute, Rikishi gets
his shoulder up. Shane can't believe it. Shane throws Rikishi into the ropes,
but both men fly into the ref, who goes down. Shane nails the Franshiser on
Rikishi, but the ref is down. Billy Kidman comes out of the back and nails
Shane with the missile drop kick. Shane goes down. Rikishi gets up and does the
Rikishi Drop on Shane. The ref is back up...1...2...3! Rikishi is the winner. 2
Cool comes out and chases the RTC and Shane away. Then they get Kidman and a
reluctant Tori Wilson to dance with them.
Vince Russo is in the back fuming
that the WWF is in the lead. He says that no matter what. WCW is going to win
the Main Event, even if it is Booker T, and he'll see to that personally. He
then pulls out a striped referee's jersey.
Kane vs. Chris Kanyon
--Kanyon comes out dressed as
Kane, making fun of him and his voice. Then hellfire and brimstone comes, and
Kane comes out to the ring, destroying Kanyon in a matter of minutes. Kanyone
makes it out of the ring, and Kane follows him, destroying him further. They
make to the top of the ramp, where Kane grabs Kanyon and chokeslams him off the
top of the ramp to the floor below. Kanyon just lays there as medics attend to
him. Kane climbs down and destroys all the medics and goes back to work on
Kanyon. Suddenly Sting comes out of nowhere and nails Kane from behind, and
then stands over Kanyon guarding him from further attack. Kane and Sting stare
at each other until finally Kane walks off.
Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Nash
--Nash comes out. Then Jericho
comes out. Nash talks about how when he last saw Jericho he was nothing but
some punk kid who thought he had some wrestling talent. Now that he's in the
WWF...he sees that things haven't changed. Jericho just laughs at Nash saying
he only wish he was in the position that Jericho was in in the WWF. The match
starts with Nash nailing Jericho with several power moves. Jericho comes back
with his highflying arsenal. Nash catches Jericho in mid-air and nails him with
a powerslam. Nash takes his straps off and goes for the jackknife powerbomb,
but Jericho struggles and drops out of it. He then lifts his feet up, tripping
him, and then turns him around into the Walls of Jericho. Nash is in pain, but
he makes it to the ropes. Jericho gets up, but walks right into the big boot
from Nash. Nash goes for the pin, but Jericho gets his shoulder up. Nash goes
for another big boot, but Jericho ducks under it, and nails Nash to the ground
with a flying forearm. Jericho quickly gets back up and nails his Lionsault to
pick up the pinfall on Nash.
Sting is walking with Kanyon on
the stretcher, when Coach stops him and asks him why he helped Kanyon. Sting
says he doesn't like Kanyon, but what Kane did was uncalled for. Suddenly Kane
comes out of nowhere and nails Sting from behind. Kane throws him into the
wall, and begins to destory Sting. Sting starts to fight back though and they start
back and forth. The two of them go all the way through the hallways and out to
the ramp. Then they make their way down to the ring. The ref doesn't know what
to do when he starts to call the match. Kane delivers a huge chokeslam, and
goes for the pinfall, but Sting gets his shoulder up. Kane goes for another
chokeslam, but Sting fights out of it with his patented back hands. Sting takes
Kane to the corner, and then nails the Stinger Splash on Kane, who doesn't go
down. Sting sends him to the corner again and nails the Stinger Splash again.
This time Kane goes down. The crowd is going wild, and Sting locks on the
Scorpian Deathlock. Kane struggles to get to the ropes, and just as he is about
to grab them. Sting lets go of the hold and pulls him back to the center of the
ring, and reapplies it. After several minutes, Kane finally passes out from the
pain. Sting is the winner.
The Undertaker vs. Vampiro
--The Undertaker comes out on his
motorcycle. Then Vampiro comes out with ICP and the Great Muta. Vampiro says
that seeing he's the Juggalo Champion, this is going to be Hardcore Rules.
Taker says no one gives a damn about the Juggalo Champion. ICP then knock down
Taker's bike, and he goes after them. Vampiro nails him from behind and the
match begins. Vampiro gets the very early offense with several quick and
powerful moves. Then Taker fights back taking Vampiro to the mat with every
blow. Taker begins to take it to Vampiro, when ICP and Muta jump into the ring
and start attacking Taker. Taker throws them all off of him and chokeslams
Muta. Then he delivers a double chokeslam on ICP. Vampiro gets up and tries to
attack, but he gets a chokeslam. Taker lifts Vampiro to his feet and then
delivers the Last Ride to him, pinning him in the center of the ring.
Vince McMahon is in the back
saying if Vince is going to try and screw over the WWF in the final match, two
can play at this game. Then he pulls out a referee's jersey.
Chris Benoit vs. Jeff Jarrett
--Benoit takes it to Jarrett early
in the match, hitting him with offense after offensive move. Jarrent then
counters with several moves, showing how both of them can wrestle. Both men
turn this into a great technical match with moves and reversals. Benoit takes
the advantage though and locks on the Crossface, but Jarrett gets into the
ropes immediately. Benoit lets go, and is warned by the ref. Jarrett grabs his
guitar and nails Benoit with it, taking him down. The ref immediately signals
for the bell, giving Benoit the win by DQ. Jarrett acts as if he doesn't care,
and nails the ref with another guitar.
Jarrett is interviewed in the back
by Mean Jean, but the interview is soon cut short when Benoit comes from behind
and locks on the Crossface and won't let it go until Jarrett is passed out from
the pain.
Kurt Angle vs. Mike Awesome
--This turns out to be simply
awesome. Both men have near pinfalls throughout this match. Kurt Angle nails
his Olympic Slam, but Awesome gets his shoulder up. Awesome nails his Awesome
Bomb, but Angle gets his shoulder up. Both men are fighting back and forth when
suddenly the bell rings. They have no idea what's going on so they keep going.
Then the ref breaks them up saying that the time has expired. They say no and
go at it again. The match is extended, and they go at it again. Mike Awesome
nails Angle with a German Suplex, putting both shoulders to the mat. The ref
looks and counts...1...2...3! Both men get up declaring victory. The ref grabs
both of their hands and raises it. The ref declares the match a double
pin...and a draw. Both men actually shake hands and leave.
Triple H vs. Goldberg
--Triple H comes out to a huge
pop...which surprises him. Goldberg comes out to boos. It is obvious who the
fans want to win this match. Goldberg gets the early advantage taking it to
Triple H with several high impact moves. Triple H fights back slowing the match
down with some actual wrestling moves. Triple H wears Goldberg down, but
Goldberg throws Triple H over the top rope and the match goes to the outside.
Goldberg gets thrown on to the announce table, where Triple H goes for the
pedigree, but Goldberg throws Triple H off of him, sending him through the
table instead. Goldberg gets to his feet and throws Triple H into the ring.
Triple H starts to stagger, but Goldberg is ready for the spear. Goldberg runs
at Triple H, and Triple H dives out of the way at the last minute. Goldberg
goes into the steel post, and staggers out of the corner. Triple H nails
Goldberg with the pedigree and pins him.
Both Russo and McMahon start
toward the ring each with a referee's shirt on.
In the back, The Cat is shown in
his nice office. There is a knock on the door, and he says who's there. In
walks Mick Foley. The Cat gets up and the two shake hands from one commissioner
to another. Foley says that they have two things in common. The Cat wants to
know what. Foley says they're both Commissioners, and they both have a problem
with a man named Vince. Cat agrees. Foley says well right now, they're both
going out into that ring to screw over each other...and that means The Rock
(the fans go crazy)...and Booker T (the fans go crazy). The Cat says what does
he have in mind. Foley says well just let me have your ear for a minute.
The Rock vs. Booker T
--Russo and McMahon come out as
referees. Booker T comes out first with the WCW World Title. Then the Rock
comes out with the WWF World Title. They both look wearily at both Vince's and
then start the match. The match is very fast paced and changes almost with
every move. Booker T starts it off with the offense, but then The Rock changes
it. The Rock nails Booker T with his spin around DDT, and goes for the pin.
Russo pushes McMahon down and counts 1...2...but refuses to count the 3. The
Rock gets up and gets into Russo's face, but then turns back to Booker T.
Booker T comes out of nowhere with an Harlam Sidekick, sending Rock to the
ground. McMahon counts...1...2...and then flips Booker T off. Booker T gets
into McMahon's face, and then McMahon and Russo get into a shoving match. The
Rock nails Booker T with the Rock Bottom and goes for the pin, but the Vince's
aren't even paying attention. Rock gets up, but Booker T nails him with the
BookEnd. Once again, the Vince's aren't paying attention. Booker T and The Rock
get back up, and look at each other, not knowing what to do. Then they look at
the two Vince's still yelling at each other. Suddenly the car crash comes and
"I'm the Greatest" is heard. Mick Foley and The Cat step out on the
rampway with mics. The Vince's, Booker T, and Rock all stop and look up at the
ramp. Foley says that seeing as how the two Vince's are so involved in this
match...and it isn't refereeing...the two Commish's have decided on altering
the match. The Vince's look confused. The Cat says that's right, they've
changed it to a tag team match between the two Vinces and Booker T and The
Rock. The Vinces look shocked and start yelling. Booker T and The Rock look at
each other and then turn around nailing the Vinces with punches. Booker T nails
Russo with several punches sending him into the corner, just as Rock sends
McMahon into the corner. They sling them toward each other, and they crash into
each other going to the mat. Booker T lifts McMahon up, just as Rock lifts
Russo up. Booker T and Rock nail their moves (BookEnd and Rock Bottom) on the
Vinces. The Rock then goes for the People's Elbow on Russo, just as Booker T
nails McMahon with the ax kick. Foley and Cat take off their shirts, revealing
referee shirts underneath, and they go to the ring. Booker and Rock cover the
Vinces in the center of the ring. Foley goes down. 1...2...just as he is about
to count 3, The Cat grabs his hand, not letting him count. Foley looks upset,
but then The Cat drops to the ground and counts 3! The Cat and Foley shake
hands as Rock and Booker T clear the Vinces out of the ring. They then shake
hands, as they begin to show off for the crowd, holding their belts up to them
as the show goes off the air.
