Author's Note: I wanted to share with you one of my first venture into poerty. I wrote this poem in 5th grade for a poetry contest. The best ones got published. Well, actually everyone got published then the parents would proudly buy the book. What a scheme... It was my first bite of reality at such a young age. I was so proud til I read the other poems. Heck one was just a prayer. That's it, no stanzas and no rhyming. I know mine doesn't rhyme but COME ON! Anyway it's a riddle. If you don't get it sorry but you are one turnip short of errr... a turnip salad.
