Vanilla Sky

By: Aaron

This was an amazing movie. I first thought to myself "Oh this is gonna be one of those romance bullshit movies, right?". To my pleasant suprise, it was nothing of the sort. For anyone that's seen Fight Club, this is a movie to watch. Its not the same, by way of the fighting, but by the confusing-ness of the movie. You almost feel at one point like you have no idea what is going on, but you can't help but watch more to try to understand.

Lemme lay down the plot for ya one time. Tom Cruise plays a young multi-millionaire type that inherited the family company from mommy and daddy's death. He lives the playboy life and has a super-model-type f**k buddy (Cameron Diaz). So, at his birthday party, his friend brings a girl (Penelope Cruz) whom he had met at a bookstore, and Tom and Penelope (not their character names, but hey, I forgot them) really hit it off. Tom is crazy about her, and gives her a ride home that night. He stays over night, but gets no sweet lovin'. But that's ok to him, he is still hard up for her. Well, when he leaves her apartment, Cameron pulls up, obviously stalking Tom. She asks to drive him home and wants to talk, and ends up driving off a bridge with him in the car, all crazy and upset like. I won't tell what else happens, but believe me, this is definatly a thinker movie. I give it 4 outta 5 hams
