RATING:     3 penguins out of 5 would enjoy this movie. Out of the other two one would be consuming large amounts of ice cream and other would be brandishing a gun at the TV and threatening to shoot the TV if the quirky girl doesn't get together with the romantic but strong willed man in the end.

VIEWING EXPIERIENCE:     I watched this movie rolled up in a comforter with a bowl of Haagen Dazs Ice cream. This is defiantly a Haagen Dazs movie. Recently of late I had been “romantically sensitive” and watching a romantic comedy where love is perfect probably wasn’t the best choice for me to watch. But I did, I’m a sucker for punishment. I had heard that this movie basically, well sucked. And actually compared to other romantic movies I had seen this was one of the best. The humor was good and the story relatively realistic. Though I found myself several times gripping my blanket and yelling at the TV screen. It was probably because of either the sugar or the emotions… probably both. I find romantic comedies very very stressful. I’m literally a pile of frazzled nerves and pulled hair usually by the end. Interesting fact is most romantic comedies are actually in fact produced by Satan himself. They don’t say it but I know it’s true.

STORY SUMMARY:     Mary (Jennifer Lopez) is a very successful wedding planner. Her romantic touches delight her clients though in real life her romantic life is in shambles. Not only has she not dated in 2 years but also her father (Alex Rocco) keeps on trying to set her up with her childhood friend who ate mud. But then one day a shoe, a sewer lid, and a dumpster changed her life. And with that she met Steve (Matthew McConaughey.) Perfect in every way Steve is perfectly… unavailable. After one pseudo date Mary finds out that he’s the groom in her next wedding project. The one of course her whole promotion rests on. Can Mary control her feelings and her life now that she has found forbidden love? Sorry guys no nudity.

CONCLUSION:     *shrugs* See it if you wish I could take it or leave it. Preferably leave it.
