The Next Big Thing
Let's start off with Dream.
From left to right: Diana, Holly, Ashley, Melissa.
(Sorry for the teeny banner ... everything else was too big!!!)
Dream, who you may have already heard of, is a four-member girl band from Cali. Their first single, "He Loves U Not" is a mix of R&B and pop. Not to mention that they are under the eye of Sean "Puffy" Combs. Anyway, they have a lot of talent (singing and dancing), and they are just ... I don't know what to say. All I know is that they are going to be popular. Holly, Diana, Melissa, and Ashley are all between the ages of 14 and 16. For more information about Dream, check out Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records. And watch for their debut album "It Was All A Dream" on January 23rd, 2001.
Next up is Willa Ford.
She hasn't even released a record yet, but she has just about a bazillion fan sites (not to mention the anti-fan sites as well). Or maybe you caught her on tour with the Backstreet Boys last winter, or in your local mall over the summer. Sure, she's blonde, not to mention pretty, with a nice voice ... but don't put her under the Britney Spears category -- she sings R&B and Pop. You could call her a mix of Christina and Britney and a touch of Mandy (cuz of that Florida thing).
Turns out Willa Ford's name IS Mandy. She's Mandy Williford, a 19-year-old from Ruskin, Florida. Maybe you've already heard her sing ... she had a song on the Pokemon soundtrack under the name Mandah. And this girl REALLY has talent. I don't care what Charlotte Church calls herself, THIS girl's got a voice of an angel. Check out Willa's Official Site at Atlantic Records. Her first single is supposed to be out by the end of this year, and her CD soon to follow in early 2001.
