The One That Got Away is an up-beat, humorus song that was made to show that Orion is not a bunch of depressed losers who ponder suicide and destruction of their nation all day. They have a sense of humor, and Luke expressed that in this song. The whole thing is about this guy who starts his day slowly, but then sees the girl of his dreams. He runs towards her, but she runs away from him, and he chases her around the city. Eventually, she calls the police, and they take him to jail. He is let out at the end of the day, and reviels the reason the girl ran away from him: he was in 12th grade, and she was in 5th.
