Uberzone - Black Widow
This is the Uberzone version of the song. I'm not sure if he wrote this first and then collaborated with Rennie Pilgrim for the other, or vice-versa, but either way both are masterpieces. This version is, without a doubt, the craziest fucking thing I've ever heard in my life. I realized just how much I love Uberzone when I first heard this song at Liquified Universe in Atlanta on 9-30-00. Holly and I went crazy during his set, and this was the opening number. Q, the man behine Uberzone, takes a funky African voice and loops it, tweaks it, speeds it up, and builds it. The result is a song that is bound to rock the fuckin joint. To some I'm sure the song could be a little too tense or repetitive, but I think on the whole it's one of those songs you drop during a party to make the crowd realize they're experiencing a wild ride. It's one of those songs that grabs you, fucks you up, and makes you move your ass. I've never been in such submission to a dance song before, and when I heard this at the rave, indeed I was its bitch. As well am I Uberzone's for giving me such crazy shit to play.
