Leftfield - Dusted Feat. Roots Manuva (Si Begg's Buckfunk 3000 mix)
This track was described by Omar Santana as a track that almost falls apart with all of the tricks it tries in the opening, but it gradually builds and you start to lose your shit as the bass swells. I'm not using quotation marks because I know that quote is not accurate, but I do know the description is. The original mix of Dusted is a mellow hip hop excursion. This version goes bugfuck. It takes random samples from Roots Manuva's rap and twist and turns them into strange new meanings. And boy, that bass sure do swell. I alternate between playing this one faster than it was written and slower than it was written. I like it both ways. It's an incredible song that feels almost like a drum and bass number. The way the bass rumbles through the roof you'd think the drum machine needed a pepcid ac or something. Phenomenal
