God Dammit!
Ok fuckers, listen up. I've had it up to balls and beyond with people fucking up the meanings of these two words. Everyone from JFK to Isaac Asimov fucks this one up, so I imagine you guys have too. I corrected Charlie or somefuckinbody on it the other day, and I must make sure you don't make the same mistake JFK, Isaac Asimov, and Chuck made, all because I'm a good semaritan. Oppress means to exert force over a person or group to stifle something that fucks the order. Repress is internal, meaning you can only do it to yourself. It means to block or stifle something that fucks your head in a way your head doesn't commonly like to be fucked. Applying the way I just described it to the possibility of repressed homosexuality, makes me chuckle a bit. It's not that both can't be done. In fact, oppression leads to repression, but the two have gotten confused like Socialism and comm'nism! Dammit! Stop fucking this word up! Please!
