Seeing as I was
bored out of my mind in class, and that irritatingly perky pile of
oversugared crap 'Reach' was currently playing repeatedly inside my brain,
I actually took the time to think about the song. And what a bunch of
bullshit it is. What the hell are they saying? Yes, reach for
the stars and your dreams will come true? I guess that's excactly what you
did, huh? You WEREN'T the product of some faceless suit who wanted to make
cash qiickly and decided to find seven useless talentless puppets with
only the ability to smile, look nice (relatively speaking) and do as
they're told. Nooooooo, you just reached for the stars, and your dreams of
being corporate puppets came true. Just like your songwriters said. That's
right, kids! When the happy happy rainbow shines over you, all your dreams
will come true, whatever they may be! No stacking shelves in Sainsbury's
for you, you can be anything you want to be, no matter how talentless,
stupid, antisocial and/ or ugly you are! What a great message! I think I'm
gonna puke now.
