Black Racers area long, slender snake. They are called Racers for good reason, as they are one of the fastest snakes. This makes them hard to catch, however they are spotted frequently. A few things different in a Racer than a Black Snake are that the Racer has keeled scales, giving it a rough feel, and is duller and lighter grayish in color.
