Dance in the
Rain
She had a free
and wild heart
And a spirit you
couldn't restrain,
It didn't
surprise me one night when she asked
To come dance
with her in the rain.
I should have
known it meant something to her,
But to me I saw
no gain
So I stood my ground
and told her no,
I would not join
her and dance in the rain.
She must have
thought I was ill of her
That she was
silly and even insane,
For she went
away and left me that night
To stand alone
by myself in the rain.
I was blind to
her love and feelings,
Now all I have
to show for it is pain.
It all could
have been prevented,
Had I just
danced with her in the rain.
So foolish to
think it not mattered,
That things
would still be the same.
If there was
only some way to bring her back...
Oh, how I wish
it would rain.
