Here is what the 2001 season looked like
Each hurricane will have a time period for waves and a 0-5 scale of waves, either fact or guess
Allison- early June, this one sputtered out in the Gulf and its remnants gave us a very short, limited swell ( 1 )
Barry- early august, Its remnants surely gave us some waves during our early august constant swell ( 3)
Chantel- just messed up Central Mexico ( 0)
Dean- late august, almost became a hurricane and gave us some slightly overhead waves and pretty clean,too ( 2)
Erin- ( early Sept, 5 )
Monday Sept 10- building swell late. Mike Solomon got spectacular ride. He say it was atleast three minutes. He took one from the concession stand to false point and then in the cove. After his ride he looked back and couldnt even see Malik as a speck. It took him 15 minutes to walk back.
Tuesday Sept 11- The day the WTC collapsed Ditch was the "best its been in years", NW winds 5- 11 foot face waves just peeling at trailer park. East Hampton had huge, fast barrels on the inside with a peeling outerbar.

Wednesday Sept 12-Surfed ditch again, still long with ocasional overhead sets. A little mushy and weak but still really good. Alamo and Turtles were really good.
Another very good report
Thursday Sept 13- Didn't surf because of strong winds but still swell
Friday Sept 14-wind swell builds on to Erin's swell producing long barrels @ Georgica with N winds. Really strange waves, wedgey and bumpy
Sat Sept 15- big and near-perfect Georgica tubes that night.
Sunday Sept 16-same as Saturday night except just me, scott and alex out early.
Hurricane Lineup as of September 9 ,2001
Felix- Back in I think 1995, a Felix gave epic waves up the whole East coast, this time gives us nothing. It heads toward Europe halfway across the Atlantic( 1 )
Garbrielle- short-lived but good.
Monday Sept 17- fun lined up waves off Georgica jetty.

Tuesday Sept 18- Went 2 Ditch and it was really good and not that crowded early. Then we went to Georgica and surfed powerful overhead barrels. Lots of footage now here and expect more since Georgicas sandbar is extremely good. Scott broke his cannibal and Alex broke a leash.(3)

A sequence of a carve down a big face
Humberto- late September this compact hurricane went by quickly and was pushed off by a big front, which not only took our swell but kept it gusty sideshore. We did get a couple of periods of good waves when the winds were down(2)
Iris- went into the Gulf has a strong hurricane and into the Pacific (early Oct, 0)
Jerry- went into the Gulf and then died quick(mid Oct, 0 )
Karen- an Atlantic gale center that just became a hurricane while passing offshore us.
October 13- surfed Ditch light winds but bad for some reason(mid Oct, 3 )
Lorenzo- gale center way out there and just started sending feet at 14 seconds ESE groundswell. Surfed Terrace twice. First time fun head high but a little too crowded. Next time, just me James and one other guy. Really long ,lined up, clean, and cold about waist to occasional shoulder.(late Oct, 3 )
Michelle-died after damaging Bahamas and headed East (early Nov , 0)

Olga- (way late November, 4) This hurricane unexpectedly changed from a gale center to a hurricane. Monday Nov 26- Me and James surf Turtles for first time, didnt catch many waves though. Double overhead on the biggest sets

Tuesday-surfed pretty big Terrace, little bumpy but fun with the occaional very long wave
Wednesday-surfed clean chest-head high Georgica. Fast, heavy barrels
