Mare: Calumet
Calumet's knowledge of herbs and the use of them, is unparalleled. Her soft voice and expressive face giving her a calming bedside manner for her patients....and an understanding warmth for those seeking comfort for nonphysical problems.
Her talent is that of soothing: her gentle nature has more than just a little magical influence as even the most hysterical patients calm to her touch. She is Bonded to Private Zaive and the two serve on the medical team at the Derico Chapterhouse. Her mate, Corsage, is Bonded to Lt. Brinnea, first officer to Captain Tiset.
She is currently on maternity leave at the Academy. Rosepetal is her first foal.

Foal: Rosepetal
Rosepetal is Calumet's first foal. Her personality is that of many newly arrived spirits.... curious. She is a confident filly and eager to explore around her. Her long legs always moving her onward to new adventure. She has a bad habit of speaking her mind a bit to much for her gentle mothers liking....but Calumet feels (hopes!) her filly's temperment will even out in due time.
Rosepetal has yet to meet her father. Though she senses his presence and has asked her mother countless questions about him. There has even been a time or two that her curiosity regarding the world outside of the Academy (and especially her father!) has driven her to wander off towards the Academy gates! But Calumet's watchful eyes caught the fillies intentions in time to stop her from succeeding in her little escapade, and the mare is now, of course, doubly cautious.
Rosepetal has the ability to recreate any aromas she can remember. They can be extremely pleasant fragrances that can soothe and calm....to sickly sweet enough to cause tearing and gagging in any around her. At present, she is unable to control her power which has caused a few rather difficult moments for those around her already. But the scope of it is so weak at present that these incidents don't affect anyone who isn't standing particularly close to her.
