Candace Grimfallon

Intro Bio

Candace is tall and pretty, not quite beautiful, but has been known to turn some heads. Her blond hair is long, flowing past her shoulders in waves. Her eyes are a deep blue color. She is an expert flirt, bubbly, social, exuberant, and appears to be rather shallow and of average intelligence. She has a good heart, though, and is always well meaning. She is a better follower than a leader. She majored in tapestry weaving during her apprenticeship

Candace was born to a reasonably wealthy merchant family, who specialized in the import and sale of exotic textiles. Not an exciting field, but surprisingly lucrative. The family never lacked for the basic comforts of life. But there were troubles brewing beneath the surface... Candace's father was a man named Eustace Grimfallon, a petty and pretentious man who aspired to be not simply well off but rich and famous. He desired more than anything else to be able to purchase a noble title, and make his mark among the rich and powerful. To that end, he threw all if his time into his work, expanding his holdings, and developing new markets. His family lived modestly, while he poured finances into fine clothing, parties for noble clients, and other extravagances. He ignored his wife and daughter in favor of his own pursuits. Candace's mother, Gabrielle, was a beautiful but shallow woman, a trophy wife Eustace had married to show off at parties. But as her looks slowly faded, so to fled his interest in her. Bereft and lonely, she sought comfort in the bottle and the arms of other men. She too ignored Candace, who had to learn to fend for herself. Growing up alone, Candace developed a need for the company of others, and is uncomfortable when she is alone. She had developed a flirtatious attitude to compensate for deep seated feelings of inadequacy
and a certainty that anyone who really gets to know the real candace will abandon her. She tends to keep people from getting too close to her, usually by altering things about her past, and not revelaing her true fears. She is certain that anyone who knows the real Candace will abandon her, like her parents did.
