Elder Criana is very, very old and her unicorn, Splitoak, is even older. She is very tall with a dour personality, a staunch traditionalist, and quite crotchety. She is not a bad person, she just believes that wild talents need strong Bondmates (she has seen many wild talent mishaps in her time, including one involving her grandaughter). She currently serves as Secretary of the Elders, under only Jacoby & Redtip, and Randoff & Dancer.
Splitoak's talent is Growth - he can make any tree or bush sprout grow
to gargantuan size in a matter of seconds, quite a powerful talent (esp.
when you consider tales like Sleeping Beauty... :)).
