BLUE STREAK & TREE PIPKINS FROGS
Blue Streak Frogs
Commonly found in the Five Lakes area and around Lake Briston. Named
for the streak of blue across the eyes. Blue streak frogs mainly eat small
water insects and occassionaly wild berries that grow near the waters edge.
Their call sounds something akin to 'grreeeee 'ip 'ip 'ip! grreeee 'ip
'ip 'ip!!'
Tree Pipkins Frogs
Named for their call 'peee ip knn... peee ip knnn', tree pipkins
are quite rare in Uen. Some say that they originally came from a land beyond
Uen where the climate is more tropical. Tree Pipkins are only found near
water in the deeper parts of the Forests of Con Cuisto and only in the
late spring, summer and early autumn. They hibernate through the colder
months. Tree Pipkins main diet consists of night insects such as moths.
They also prise up the softer bark of their trees to find grubs and larvae.
