Behold the gryphons of Zadiago.

ALIAH'REN, jr.- Aliah'Ren, large, powerful, agressive, and under all his ill-temper, gruff manners and sour disposition, he is a big teddy bear at heart. Though he'd sooner rip out your lungs than admit it. Sure deep down he's loveable. Once you can get to see deep down that is. But really, would a self-respecting griffin admit he's sweet? The older brother of Aliah'Arrow, Ren accidently happened upon his baby sister in the woods. Recognizing her by her mark on her forehead. Not to mention there's no other red clans. Only Ren's larger size and superior skill allowed him to beat his sister. And after he calmed her down, he convinced her to come back to their clan. Where she's been causing him headaches ever since. But she's his little sister, so what's a griffin to do?

ALIAH'ARROW-Wandering from her nest when she was a just a cub, young Aliah'Arrow had to learn to grow up and survive on her own and fast. Definitely strong willed, with a indomitable survival instinct, Aliah'Arrow grew up alone becoming a rather cold griffin possessed of few words. Yet also very lonely, wanting, needing to find others of her kind to be with. Yet she can be cold and cruel, lashing out at friend and foe with biting insults when she has been pressed to far. It wasn't until she was about half grown that she accidently came across her elder brother Aliah'Ren, in the part of the wilderness she'd claimed as her own. Denying the loneliness within, she immediately attacked her brother, not recognising him. Being bigger, older and better trained, he managed to defeat her, but not before taking several viscous blows from her. After striking her unconscious, he was able to get a good enough look at her to realise that this was the cub that had wandered off long ago. Returned to her birth home, she has slowly learned to accept that this is where she belongs. And has, at least privately, admitted that she needs them. Even if she still resists that idea.

JAALL'RALL- Born to the Jaall clan, Jaall'Rall is still a very young griffin, barely having reached the age to gain a rider. Playful and light hearted, she is more interested in the world around her than in fighting. Though she does love to hunt as it gives her an excuse to leave the other clan members and explore.

CRAA'CATH- Of a species which is known for their arrogance, pride and over preening egos, Craa'Cath stands out amoung his own kind as one of the most arrogant, prideful and over preening. Having already tasted battle once, while helping to defend the griffin rider's current home, has not tempered his arrogant nature. Injured in the battle, he nearly lost his eye and still bears that scar. His rider was nearly killed in the fight and can never ride again. Leaving Craa'Cath waiting until he can find a new rider. For Craa'Cath has tasted battle and finds that he loves it and wants more. And will not be held back for lack of a rider. To hear Craa'Cath's telling of the battle, one would think that he alone fought against the would be invaders. That he faced them alone, and he alone defeated them and saved his rider from death. With his battle experience, such as it is, and his massive ego, Craa'Cath has decided that he is only naturally the best and only choice for the next leader of his clan. He is a massive and powerful griffin. Intellegent and battle tested. And is, in his own inflated opinion, the only one capable of leadership. So it will be a shock and insult to him when he learns that his younger brother, Craa'Kell has been taken under their clan leader's wing to be trained as the next leader. A fact which will send him into a frightening rage when he learns of it.

CRAA'KELL- Born to the Craa clan, Craa'Kell is the younger brother of Craa'Cath. Unlike his brother, Craa'Kell is a great deal quieter and much more intelligent than his elder brother. Although never tested in battle yet, Craa'Kell does display several excellent leadership skills. And unlike his brother, knows how to keep his beak shut. Not as strong as his brother, Craa'Kell is a bit worried about how Craa'Cath will react when he learns that the current leader of their clan has choosen Craa'Kell to lead after him. And is even now, instructing Craa'Kell in how to lead.

HRAAK'DERRI- Hraak'Derri, is one of the best fighters of his clan. He's also the most paranoid. Convinced that everyone else is out to get him, he is openly suspious of all others. Expect perhaps humans. After all, what could those puny two leggers do to HIM?

TECK'TARKI- Teck'Tarki is a fine young male from clan Teck. Swift and agile, he is an athletic griffin who loves games and sports. Having never seen a battle, Teck'Tarki is looking forward to a glorious war, not realzing the hardships of it yet Not taking the dangers and pain of war seriously. As he is unable to imagine the true horrors of it.

HRAAK'NETH- Born to the Hraak clan, Hraak'Neth is a mature griffin. A bit small for his breed, but compactly and powerfully built. A fearless male, he has a somewhat unfortunate habbit of leaping before looking when he loses his temper. Which is quite often with this touchy fellow.

ALAAX'REA- Alaax'Rea is the darling of Clan Alaax. Playful and lighthearted, she's friendly, loving and caring. Having friends in almost all the clans, there is something about this little griffin which makes the others want to take her under their wings and protect her. Alaax'Rea is somewhat aware of this, and does sometimes use her guileless, innocent looks to get something she wants. Like sweet talk a busy friend into sparing a couple of mintues to play tag in the clouds. Or convince an attendant that an extra peice of liver just that night won't hurt. She doesn't do that very often though. She would hate to abuse her friendships in such away.

LERRIN'DEEN- Lerrin'Deen is a young female of the Lerrin Clan. A lightning fast flyer, she prefers hit and run fighting to more confrontational means. Clever, and quick witted, she has a devilish sense of humour. Though she would never do anything to harm an ally. While a bit naieve perhaps, she is a true and loyal friend once she gives her friendship.

ALIAH'EN - Aliah'En is a sleek and lovely female belonging not to one, but two clans. Her father is a member of the Craa clan. And her mother, is of clan Aliah. Raised with her mother's clan, Aliah'En does spend as much time with her father's clan. Though she is trying to decide which of her two blood clans she wishes to belong exclusively to. Just one of them, or perhaps both of them.

ALAXX'SHA - Alaxx'Sha is a sleek, quiet male from clan Alaxx. Graceful and mysterious, this griffin keeps mostly to himself. Incredible deft at gliding, he is a silent shadow in the dark, unseen and unheard as he moves through the sky. Perfering his own company, the beautiful male would be surprised to learn that his standoffish quiet nature is drawing the attention of quite a few females who are finding the mystery that is Alaxx'Sha extremely intriguing.

ALIAH'AA - Aliah'Aa is a fine, rough and tumble young male of clan Aliah. Always ready for a good wrestling match, he often wins the matches he joins in. Muscular, swift and agile, he is a deadly combination of skill and instinctive ability mixed with agility and strength. But this young griffin's biggest muscle is his heart. Extremely sweet natured, he is a gentle giant.

HRAAK'TERREN - Hraak'Terren is not the best fighter ever born. Prefering a hack and slash brute style which fits the large, muscular Griffin. But when it comes to wits, he has yet to be matched. Perhaps to clever by far, Terren can be defeated by skill in battles of strength. But add his intelligence and quick thinking to the match, and he can best fighters far more advanced than he. An ability which makes him a respected fighter. And one which his brother, Hraak'Neth is somewhat jealous of.

NERRA'REAV- Nerra'Reav is a young griffin of on of the oldest and most respected griffin clans. Clan Nerra. A beautifully coloured female, Nerra'Reav is a bit cocky, but more down to earth than others of her race. She is actually looking foward to chosing a rider, not because of the chance of adventure, but because she has heard tell of the partnerships between griffins and humans. And finds herself extremely curious about it and willing to learn more. Through first hand experience.

HRAAK'TEITH- Hraak'Teith is a no nosense, straight and narrow griffin with the imagination and playfullness of a brick. Having little humour, this young lady is much to serious for a griffin of her age. Hraak'Teith was only a young hatchling when she witnessed her parents being slautered in a fight. Hraak'Teith has no doubt about the true 'glories' of battles. She has seen first hand what the results are. Having little time for anything else, young Hraak'Teith spends most of her time honing her skills for battle. Determined to avenge her parents deaths. Surprisingly, despite her rigid manner, Hraak'Teith has a soft spot for little Alaax'Rea who is almost her complete opposite. The dark and gloomy Hraak'Teith values Alaax'Rea's friendship for Alaax'Rea is the only one who can make Hraak'Teith laugh. And as long as Hraak'Teith is around, no one had better do anything to harm Alaax'Rea. Or they can expect to pay for that slight in blood.

KREEL-TUR - Aggressive, wantonly destructive, generally bad tempered and lacking a sense of humour, Kreel-Tur is a powerful fighter wrapped in a foul tempered package. Rather like a juvenile delinquent, his philosophy is attack first, ask questions later. Descended from a long line of powerful and heroic griffins, there is a lot expected and hoped of the sullen Kreel-Tur. The only cub in his clan as a hatchling, young Kreel-Tur was outside his clan's cavern roost playing with the cubs of other clans. All the adults and juveniles were inside the mountain cave discussing warrior business when a quake struck. The force of nature caused the cavern to collapse, killing all inside. The last of his clan, he is capable of love and all the gentler emotions, but since the day of his clan's deaths, he has buried his gentler side under a mask of seeming indifference and anger. Not wanting any others to get to close for fear of losing them. And instead throws himself into his studies, learning to become a great warrior. He is willing to become the mount of a human for the belief that it will make him a stronger warrior. And that because it is a mere human, he will not become attached to the creature.
