Redtip (Unicorn) and Jacoby are the Elders that conduct the Ya' Cha
ceremony.....They 'channel the Light'.
Note:
Basically, there are no remaining organized religions in Uen Country
(Though it is generally thought that the first settlers worshipped their
own gods as remains of temples have been found in Rin Caad.). Small sects
of religious faiths exist and players are encouraged to create one if they
so desire, but most Uen Roug are agnostic, believing the Light as the omnipotent
and all present benevolent force, but creating no beliefs beyond that.
The Chief Elder actually acts as the "Keeper of the Light", but that Light
refers only to the unicorns' deepest and most primal power, creation power
in its rawest form and something most definitely not to be unleashed without
good reason for it can just as easily be turned to destructive power in
the wrong hands. Redtip (the Chief Elder and wisest in the ways of the
Light) makes sure that it is kept under tight wraps - for it is a collective
power that any unicorn can tap into if he/she knows how. But all of that
is rather complicated and something students are taught in Academy classes.
