A faithful retainer at the Academy, Kody Two Rivers is the House Mother, if you will. She is a big woman, tall and solidly built. Wears her salt and pepper hair in a long braid wrapped around her head.  She is stern on outward appearances, but when the girls get to know her she has a heart of pure gold. Kody is not above cooperating in mischief the girls cook up on one another, this way she insures it doesn't go too far and remains fun.

Kody raised eleven girls before her husband died and now she is at the Academy, trying to put the last two through the Royal Institute studying healing. Most of her girls remain in Derico working as hired help in the 'houses'.

She is fond of Brooksong as she knows the family she worked for.
