Her herd name is the image of the long-stemmed lavender plant. The
name humans who know of her is
Lavender. A sweet tempered and ethereal unicorn, she loves her home
and her freedom. Lavender knows of humans. She's been near enough to the
little villages of humans to sense their thoughts. She finds these places
to be smelly and cramped and avoids them as much as possible.
Lavender is proud of her talent and proud that she is of such use
to her herd and it's lead mare. Pleased
that she can use her talents to keep her herd from harm, and their
territory safe from other herds. But at the same time, Lavender feels…
unappreciated , overlooked… taken for granted. She knows she is the only
one in her herd who CAN sense predators and humans coming close to their
herd. She knows she is the only one that can link the herd so that they
can fight and work together more smoothly. She doesn't expect to be treated
better than any of the rest of the herd. But a simple bit of appreciation
would be nice. She is so disquieted and upset by her herd's apparent lack
of appreciation she is seriously considering finding herself a new herd.
She knows of at least two other wild herds that she's been in contact with.
Lavender's talent is that which all unicorns are born with. Her telepathy.
Except where other unicorns are rather limited in how far they can send
their thoughts, Lavender's telepathy is extremely powerful. She can send
and receive thoughts from 300 miles away. Making her extremely useful to
her herd. For she can
relay messages and co-ordinate her herd into deadly attacks against
predators by helping to keep track of
everyone. As well, she is able to sense when a predator or human
comes within range of her telepathy,
making it that much harder for predators to hunt the West Groley
herd. And making it extremely hard for
humans to catch a glimpse of their herd. And she knows when other
herds try to invade her herd's territory.
Lavender is a determined, if not very good, fighter.
