Shallows & Green Egg Snakes
SHALLOWS SNAKE
Generally found along the rockier of shores near Ramis's ocean. Shallows
snakes hibernate throuh the cold and stormy winter seasons and become active
again in late spring. Both male and females have the distinct paddle shaped
tail and aqua stripes which aid them when they hunt in the sea for their
prey. The main diet of Shallows snakes are small fish, molluscs and crustacians.
They will also eat carrion if nothing else is available.
These snakes have the ability to slow their metabolism, as do all snakes and use it when hunting so they may remain submerged for long amounts of time without need to surface for air. Shallows snakes have a mild venom which causes swelling in the bitten area and light fever symptoms. Multiple bites over time can build an immunity to various poisons including the snakes bite, but the poison manually concentrated is quite deadly. Sadly Shallows snake skins are becoming popular for their colour and they are being hunted excessively.
GREEN EGG SNAKE
Green snakes tend to live in the thicker forests of Uen and there are
old records of them growing to tremendous size in a country outside Uen
known as "Kah'alam". As to whether or not the land still exists, along
with it's huge snakes, no one knows.
The diet of smaller Uen versions, as the name suggests, is eggs, both
avarian and reptilian. Green Egg snakes are nimble climbers, able to get
up into the smoothest barked of the trees. They also eat small birds and
lizards, first using constriction to imobilize their prey, then by swallowing
it whole.
