Pabu
Pabu or Forest cats are extremely shy feline who spend nearly all of their lives in the tree tops, catching birds, eating eggs and drinking the dew from the leaves rather than descend to the ground to hunt or lap water from the forest streams (unless a branch overhangs a water source). The few sightings of them have been in the Khalakopf Range forests. Pabu are thought to be distantly related to the mountain dwelling Arquibas. They are a tan colour with olive and brown spots and stripes that make them almost invisible in the trees. Their claws are non retractable and their tails are an extra foot or so longer than other felines and are partially prehensile. They use it their tail a balast when they jump and have been known to leap several meters from one tree to another.
Extremely shy creatures, Pabu tend to avoid humans, but now and then
seem curious and even approach to within several meters of the person.
It has been suggested that Pabu are slightly telepathic being able to sense
the alignment and intentions of humans as they have never approached anyone
who would harm them or seeked to capture them, no matter how the human
acted.
