My soul rushes out to you,
Dreaming - nay - praying,
To join with you again
As we have in lives past.
With warm and gentle breath
Brush my skin.
Shy fingers unwrap themselves,
Hesitate before my dry mouth.
Inviting glances capture breath
Undaunted by silent approach
Warm shivers descend upon my body
As swirling currents of electricity surround us.
Waiting somewhere between here and there,
Faint echos curl inside my soul
From a time that is so brittle,
That it rises in the midnight shadows.
And my night,
Send me onward to join with you for eternity.
As hearts pound as one
And souls join together for all time.
