What is Gor?
It is the counter earth... a savage planet ruled by the strange Priest Kings, insect-like hive beings. The PKs limit technology to the most primative in war and the most advanced in medical treatment and space travel.
The planet's natural beauty is unspoiled and unpolluted.
The people of Gor have been imported on voyages of aquisition to Earth, They were brought back to Gor from various medieval societies on Earth and retain much of those cultures. These Gor populations are scattered in groups, small communities to large cities, all having a homestone. In fact that is what Gor means... simply Stone. They are organized under various leaders like Ubars, Jarls and Hunkas, who rule the Freepersons, divided into Castes, Societies, Tribes, etc... and these Freepersons own slaves.
Know this... Gor is beautiful, exciting, dangerous and above all... never fair.
The plants, animals, food and drinks of Gor are quite different than those found on earth. It is important for a slave to learn as much as possible about the Gorean flora and fauna, so that serves, chores and roleplay can be made more realistic. If you learn of these things, you can describe the sight of various plants and animals during your chores and describe food and drinks accurately during your serves.
