The Home Stone
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Learn as much as possible about your home, the layout of the buildings and serving hut, the facilities available there, and the kinds of activities that go on there. Include such details in your serves, chores and other roleplay to make it more realistic and interesting. Think about things like where are mead, ale, paga and kalana kept? Same with tarsk, bosk, cheese, milk, fruit, and bread? These are things you should know. If not listed in the home's website, make them up to keep the serve interesting. Always be prepared to describe the Lair to visitors, since many may not know of how a true Lair looks or work, because it is not like a camp or city.

Some of the information on the Lair's website will help you understand the home you live in:

•The Lair Map•

This takes you through each part of the Lair, with pictures for visual aid, to help you visualize your surroundings. Learn where everything is in the Lair and surrounding areas.

•Members•

Be aware of all the people that reside in your home so you will know who is a member and who is not.

•Rules•

Be aware of the rules in your Home and follow them. Help others that might be new learn the rules. If you happen to see a slave breaking the rules(with or without meaning to do so) or doing something the wrong way....do not scream at them...do not criticize them...instead politely inform them of the proper way to do thier task...or tell them nicely what the rules are so they will know for the future. If the slave in question refuses to follow the rules...let a Mistress handle it. If there are no Panthers in the Lair at the time...script the event and show it to One later.

•Inventory•

Learn the Lair Inventory. This will help you know what is in the Lair and where it is kept.

Below are a few examples of other things you should ask yourself and know about your home:

Where does one go if raided?
When a raid or attack starts, all slaves are to go to the cave and hide...without being told. More experienced slaves should help their less experienced brothers and sisters get there. Stay silent there and do not whisper to the Panthers while fighting. Wait to be told before coming out.

Where does the water come from?
Water comes from the lakes and streams around the Lair. At times, you may need to haul fresh water further into the Lair for its use.

How are things kept cold?
In the cave there are shelves way in the back. Foods and drinks are stroed here as the cave is very cool and keeps them fresh for short periods of time.

Where is the garbage taken?
To a fire pit outside to be burned. Some types of refuse can be added to the compost pile. Food scraps can be fed to the animals. Make sure you know what to feed to each animal or ask. This way the animals do not eat the wrong thing and become ill.

Where does a slave sleep?
All slaves will either sleep in the slave pens or in thier Owner's hut...if allowed.

When can a slave enter a Mistress' Quarters?
Only if ordered or if she is given the job of cleaning it....she may not sleep there unless she has Mistress' permission.
