Open with the sun rising. Pan out slowly, the Statue of Liberty coming into view. Pan around the Statue of Liberty to view the city of Manhattan.

Eve - (voice over commentary) Life is an amazing journey and it changes from one moment to the next. It's the journey I fight for, that chance to change and make choices for a better future. Alex hated change. Ironic, she was the one who changed most of all. I know that she has a sense of peace now despite her inner struggles but I always think, was there anything I could have done differently to help or save her? I think back on many of the events of my life and the choices I made. I've had the chance to rectify some mistakes but why does the past keep coming back? I should move on for I know I can't change it but I'm starting to wonder. What if I can't change anything, the past, this world or myself?

Flash and cut to panning over the Manhattan streets during the morning.

Flash to pan up the Empire State building at noon.

Cut to the afternoon at one of the building of NYU. Craig walks out and covers his eyes as he walks out into the sun. He looks at his watch, smiles and heads out.

Cut to a slightly run down building. Jeff walks out the doors with a couple of files under his arm and hops into his car.

Cut to an old building that used to hold Alex's loft. Morgan bounds out the door with a duffel bag on her shoulder, snapping some gum in her mouth as she hails a taxi.

Cut to the newly furnished centre. It's buzzing with more life than before, plus there seem to be a lot more muscle bound types than there used to be. Pan over to James laughing and talking with people as he makes smoothies, a waitress smiles and gently pushes his out of the way so she can make the smoothie. Nice to see some things haven't changed.

Flash to the sun setting behind the Statue of Liberty. Fade to Eve's redone apartment above the centre. She is standing in front of the French double doors that lead out to a terrace, a change from the fire escape and a gift from Alex. Eve is standing there in light faded jeans and a long cream sweater. She has her arms wrapped around her self as she stares out over the sunset, thoughtful.

Craig knocks on Eve's apartment and pops his head in.

Craig - Hello?

Eve turns around and smiles

Eve - Hi

Craig smiles and bounds in with an unusual bounce in his step.

Craig - How's the roommate thing going with James, now that you have two rooms in this apartment and all?

Eve - It's a little weird sharing my bathroom with a guy but we manage. It's okay actually and James likes the fact that he can take care of the centre without traveling halfway across New York everyday.

Craig nods not really listening. He is bouncing up and down on the balls on his feet with a little grin on his face. Eve looks at him strangely then grabs him by the head and looks him sternly in the eyes. She seems to be checking for something. Craig catches on.

Craig - I haven't been drinking.

Eve - (closes her eyes and sighs) I'm Sorry. But I worry about you. When Alex left you took it hard, harder than the rest of us.

Craig - (takes her hands away gently) And you've been checking on me everyday. I'm sober. My good mood is not from drinking

Eve - Good to hear. So tell me what has got you in a good mood

Craig - I've thought about some things. Come on downstairs, the crowd's gone and the gang's waiting.

Cut to downstairs around the centre's juice bar. James is drying some glasses and putting them away. Morgan is playing around on the laptop that is set up. Craig comes out of the back room and taps Morgan on the shoulder motioning for her to get off the laptop. She rolls her eyes and moves as Craig sits down and starts typing. Eve comes through from the back room just as Jeff enters.

Jeff - Hey guys (sets files down on the counter) This is the latest of the demon cases that have come through. I need some help here because I'm getting swamped.

Morgan - We've had more demon cases than regular ones. I don't get it. Have we been slacking off or are the bad guys upping their game?

Eve - We're short in numbers and in strength, not to mention we don't have the resources that we used to. We also have to work twice as hard to cover our tracks from the police and keep ahead of the demons so the real world isn't affected by the underworld

Jeff - I didn't realize how much I helped you guys with the legalities until I left the force.

James - So what can we do about it?

Craig - Up our game. Get technical, get magical, and get military. (swerves the lap top around and shows a map of New York) This is a map of New York a few months ago before Alex left. (presses a button and shows the same map of New York now with various red dots all over it) This is a current map. Thanks to Jeff and some of the contacts he still has on the force, we've been able to keep track of unnatural sightings and unsolved cases.

James - How'd you do all this?

Craig - (smiles) I got back into the habits I started back in the day. Surveillance, contacts, preparation. Alex and I always had a plan when we went out patrolling. We went to the places where there was a higher level of unsolved cases. Most of the time it ended up being a demonic hunting ground but other time we were able to help solve cases in areas where the unnatural happened. But since we've had Eve, Jeff and James's visions on our side we hadn't a need for them.

James - What are you suggesting?

Craig - (looks to Eve) Eve I want to organize our patrols. Alex and I had an effective system when it was just us. Now that we have more people, I believe that system can be just as effective. It would help to beef it up now that it appears that Lucifer has.

Eve - You're right. He could be planning something. The fight with the gods has left us . . .

Morgan - Complacent.

Eve - I hate to admit it but yes. I thought after Thuvan and all the natural laws he broke that maybe The Powers That Be would get tough and Lucifer would step down.

Jeff - Well it appears he's stepped up.

Eve - (nods) I agree. Craig has been doing this longer, perhaps he should take some lead. Craig, what do you suggest we do now?

Craig - (picks up a crossbow and loads it) It's time to get back to basics.

Cut to Eve's apartment focused in on Eve's chakram. Pan out to see Eve sitting at the counter of the kitchenette. She lifts the chakram up and you can see her face framed by it. She sets the chakram down and continues to stare at as if she is willing something to be revealed to her. James comes out of the bathroom bare chest, a shirt thrown over his shoulder. He walks into the kitchenette and pulls out a frozen dinner out of the freezer and sticks it in the microwave.

James - (puts his shirt on) I'm not sure but I think Craig is getting a little on the obsessive side. He's acting like a drill sergeant, like we haven't got lives to live. (imitating Craig) "We meet back here at twenty hundred hours" Why couldn't he just say eight o clock like other normal people? (noticing Eve not paying attention) And I think he needs to work on his fashion sense, camo does nothing for his skin tone

Eve - (head snaps up) What!

James - Just checking if you were listening. What are you doing? Are you trying to will something out of that chakram?

Eve - More like trying to transcend my will but I don't think it's working.

James - Your new powers?

Eve - They come and go. I don't know if I can control it. I've been working on it for months and it's not improving. I'm beginning to wonder if they are meant to stay as they are.

James - (grabs a bottle of water out of the fridge) What do you mean?

Eve- I feel stuck. I'm second-guessing myself, mulling over the stupid things I've done. I'm always thinking about the past.

James - (opens the bottle and takes a sip as he leans on the arm of the couch) Are we talking about Alex or are we going farther back . . . like "ancient times" back?

Eve - My past and the choices I've made always come back to haunt me. My recent past here, my past in Rome, even my mother's past comes back! The past may not change but why does it have to repeat itself? How can I work on a better future when there's this cycle of pain from the past?

James - You got to let it go Eve

Eve - I don't know how! My past as Livia was sick and I've worked very hard to forget that part of my life and move on, do better. But every time I think I've moved two paces forward I end up falling back ten.

James - Okay, let's look at the present for a moment. In this world, right now you've done a lot to help other people, you've made a difference in this time and in other people's lives.

Eve - I don't see it.

James - Okay, then maybe the past repeating is a good thing?

Eve - Are you kidding?!

James - When the past has repeated itself, you've been able to atone, and correct your mistakes. Think about it Eve? How many people get a second chance at life and right the wrongs of the past?

Eve is silent, staring at the ground.

Eve - It brings with it pain

James - I think the reason your powers aren't working is linked to your state of mind. You can't look forward, you don't want to look back but you can't stop obsessing about everything that was. You have unresolved issues.

Eve - About what?

James - I don't know. But what ever it is its holding you back. You have to search yourself for those answers. Maybe take some time off, go away for a little while

Eve - Not with whatever Lucifer is planning right now

James - Then you need to relax

Eve - I'm relaxed!

Eve's out burst makes the microwave behind her blow up and blow a fuse in the apartment

Eve - (voice in the dark) Maybe I should go away for a little while.

James - (voice in the dark) Uh huh. Yeah.

Cut to Central park as an axe files through the air. Cut to Eve as she swings a demon around as the axe flies into the demon's back. Eve looks at the axe imbedded in the back and grimaces a little.

Eve - Nice shot

Morgan - (walks up and take the axe out of the back and Eve drops the demon) Thanks. (twirls the small axe and it's twin around) I love these things. Present from Jeff!

Eve - (sarcastic) Yeah he's just full of romantic ideas.

Morgan - Hey, I am an Amazon. I punched his lights out when he brought me flowers and candy. (shudders a little) That's your standard apology gift. I got them from Nick all the time. But these . . . (hold up the axes) these are nice. Reminds me of the weapons I used to practice with back at the Amazon encampment.

Eve - (smiles) Do you miss it?

Morgan - (shrugs) Sometimes. It was the first place I actually felt safe and apart of something but they were real tight asses. No freedom. I never was really good at following rules. What was it my Mom always said? Oh yeah. To much spunk!

Eve - Yeah well you need it for this kind of work. Alex was always a little too into it but that's what made some of our patrols really successful.

Morgan - (rolls her eyes) Yeah well I'm not Alex.

A demon jumps out at them trying to act scary. Eve and Morgan just look at it before Morgan jumps and hits it on the head with the butt of her axe. She chops off its head before they move on.

Eve - Sorry. I didn't mean anything by it . . . it's just . . .(thinks about what James said) apparently I have trouble letting go.

Morgan - I don't expect you to forget your friends. . . You seem more down than usual tonight. What's wrong?

Eve - What's usually wrong. I don't think I can make a better future especially when I screw up the present and my past comes back . . .

Morgan - (stops her) Eve! Look I don't want to sound insensitive but . . . you need to suck it up princess and get over it.

Eve - Congratulations, you managed to sound really insensitive.

Morgan - If I acted like you every time I was set back I would never get anywhere!

Eve - That's exactly my point but I don't have time for a revelation

Morgan - What about good hit in the head?

Eve - Very funny.

Jeff - (voice) GET DOWN!!

Eve and Morgan look to Jeff. They are both confused as Jeff is running towards them flailing his arms about, motioning for them to duck. Jeff leaps at them and knocks them both down as green slime shoots over and just misses them. They look at the slime as it hits the tree and burns a hole right through it.

Eve - Thanks

Jeff - Don't thank me yet

Jeff leaps up as a knife shoots out from a gauntlet on his wrist. He swings around and slices at the throat of the demon that has jumped out of the bushes. The green slime that could be shot from his mouth now oozes down the base of its neck. It flails its limbs about trying to strike at Jeff. Jeff ducks one swing and grabs on to its arm. Jeff swings the demon about and bangs it head first into a tree. The demon turns around just as Jeff swings around bringing his foot into contact with its face, flipping the demon over on to its back. Jeff then has a mini cross bow shoot out of his other gauntlet and Jeff shoots two arrows right into two bulging sacks on either side on the demon neck. The demon falls to the ground and appears to be dead except its whole body looks like it's pulsing. Jeff suddenly realizes something.

Jeff - Uh oh! RUN!!

Jeff Eve and Morgan dive for cover as the demon explodes. Morgan Jeff and Eve look up and see the surrounding area covered in green slime.

Eve - Gross!

Eve storms off as Jeff looks back at Morgan confused. Morgan just shrugs

Morgan - She's having a bad day.

Morgan and Jeff run to catch up with her.

Jeff - Hey look I don't expect a thanks for saving your butt but there's no need for the attitude.

Eve - (stops) Sorry, I have a lot on my mind and I wanted to get away before that ooze starts to rot everything in sight. Did you have to aim for the sacks where the Mycorgi demon stores its ooze?

Jeff - I didn't have a sword on me and it was the easiest way to kill it with what I have.

Eve - You are getting pretty good with those new weapons of yours. Where are you getting all these any way?

Jeff - (hesitating) Oh . . .uh . . .no place special. I remember an old friend of mine telling me she was going to this place, it had like old antiques and weapons and stuff. Nothing I was interested in at the time.

Eve - Well you'll have to take me some time and Craig too.

Jeff - Yeah, I don't know, I think the man is looking to start a war

Eve - I'm looking to end it

Jeff - Is that why you are in a mood tonight?

Morgan - Eve has baggage.

Jeff - Ha! Don't we all

Eve - But I can't control my new powers because of it.

Morgan - I just think she needs to have some sense knocked into her.

Jeff - Let's not get all in the Alex mode now!

Morgan - I AM NOT ALEX!!!

Suddenly out of nowhere four yellow skinned orange spotted demons with long nails and sharp teeth appear. Three behind Jeff and Morgan and only one behind Eve. They are baring their teeth and they are ready to attack.

Jeff - I think they heard you

One demon tries to jump Eve from behind. She is ready for him and catches him in mid jump and throws him into a nearby tree. Eve looks back to see Morgan battling two demons with her axes. Morgan raises her weapon at the demons but both catch her arms and kick her in the stomach, grabbing the axes away from her ready to use them against her.

Eve - NOOOO!

With a sudden burst of energy Eve directs a wave of power toward the two demons but the blast is so strong it makes both demons and Morgan go flying out of the park.

Jeff who is busy fighting another demon becomes distracted by this sudden burst of power that blew Morgan a distance away. The demon kicks Jeff in the stomach. Jeff bends forward winded by the blow and the demon jumps up and elbows him in the back making Jeff fall to his knees.

Eve feeling another burst of power lifts the demon up in mid air by just motioning. She pulls her hand back and motions for the demon to fly through the air but in the process sends Jeff flying also. Eve begins to panic.

Eve - No

The demon she through into the tree comes up behind her again and the two demons that she blew away comes running out of the bushes to attack her. She tries to motions them away again but finds her powers have left her. One demon in front of her tries to punch Eve down but she dodges the punch and punches it in the stomach and back hands him in the face the throws him forward right in line with her foot the kicks upward into his face. The second demon in front attacks. Eve spins around and kicks him down then spins around before the demon behind her attack her and roundhouse kicks him in the face. She then sends a series of jabs and punches to the other two demons. A fourth demon comes out of nowhere and jumps on Eve back spinning her around.

All four demons jump on Eve and they begin beating her down. She is able to kick one off but it comes at her again and grabs on to her leg. Another demon grabs on to her other leg and the two other demons grab on to her arms. They lift her up as she struggles and ram her right into a tree headfirst. She falls to the ground lifeless.

COMMERCIAL

Pan in close on Eve face. Her eyes are closed. She makes a small noise. Her face screws up slightly and she lets out a small groan. She moves on to her back and opens her eyes. Eve looks up confused. She sits up and looks around her. There is nothing but black space around her.

Eve - (grabs a hold of her head as she stands up) Oh great. Now where am I?

Voice - Hello Eve.

Eve whirls around and sees Alex standing before her smiling.

Eve - Alex!

Eve rushes toward Alex, smiling, but when she moves in for a hug Eve passes right through Alex.

Eve - ( stops and turns back to look at Alex who is still standing there calm and smiling) What is this? Are we dead?

Alex - (smiles and laughs a little) No you are not dead you are just inside your mind. You wanted a revelation. You got it.

Eve - My mind? But then how are you here?

Alex - Alex isn't. I'm here to help you. I'm like a guide.

Eve - A guide in the form of Alex?

Alex - Only so far. That may change as we delve further.

Eve - Into what?

Alex - The past.

Pan out to find Alex and Eve know in the rundown mansion from "New York Bound"

Arubis and his followers try to inject Alex with the essence of the gods and fail.

Suddenly James and Jeff swing down from the balcony kicking two cult members each down. They let go of the ropes and the chandelier comes crashing down. All cult members move out of the way before it crashes down on them. Alex is left unguarded. James and Jeff run over and ungag her and take the chains off. They try to take Alex away but she pushes them off

James - (trying to pull her away) Alex it's fake! It's just a hoax

Alex - NO!! It's real!! (She then holds up her hand as a blue sphere appears.)

Alex throws the sphere at the orb smashing it. It blows up in waves of bright lights. Alex is thrown back into a wall and everyone is thrown back on to the ground. Alex as she falls down unconscious slumped against the wall. There is a bright light that hovers in a small sphere around her chest then fades away.

Alex - This was when Alex was taken over by Gods. This is where it started.

Eve - How am I seeing this? This is Alex's memory not mine

Alex - Eve, you've only just begun to tap into the vastness of your powers. You can delve into past and see events from a different angle.

The scene changes around them to Alex's loft. Both her and Eve look on

Alex wakes up from shock. Jeff and James try to calm her down.

James - You blew up the orb. It sent out quite a punch and it knocked you out.

Jeff - Were the gods actually in that orb?

Alex - Wha . . . What . . . no of course not. You were right. It was a hoax. It had some electrical current running around in the orb. Combined with my sphere it blew up.(tries to sit up but feels a pain in her chest and puts her hand up and rubs slightly) Owe!

James - Are you okay? What's wrong?

Alex - I'm fine I . . . I just hurt a little. I'll be fine

James - Are you sure?

Alex - Yeah don't worry. Trust me. I'm fine.

The scene fades away back to the black space

Alex - That was Alex's first chance to tell someone what was going on. She knew exactly what was in that orb. She knew exactly what was happening but avoided telling everyone. You have to remember that her choices are not on you

Eve - But why couldn't she tell us? We could have helped her before it was too late! Did we give her a reason not to trust us?

Alex - Of course not. She was scared. She didn't believe in her friends. She really thought her friends would turn on her and try to kill her.

Eve - We would never!

Alex - But she was projecting her issues and her feelings on to you because it's what she would do.

Eve - But all those things she said . . .

The scene fades away behind them to Alex and Eve in the centre in Repercussions Part 3

Eve – How can you be so sure they want to change? The Gods you are harboring inside you are killers, incapable of forgiveness and obsessed with control and power. Even after I had changed they were fully intent on killing me. Do you want to become like that?

Alex – You go around parading as Livia half your life and you are going to judge me and the gods before they’ve even had a chance to prove they’ve changed.

Eve - I . . . I don't judge. I’m not judging them or you . . .

Alex - Everyone of you are so quick to pass judgement, to turn on me because you can't stand that I'm making the rules. That I have the power now. Craig has a murderer take over his body so he feels it's his right to act like a dick but he's can't be held responsible for his actions. Jeff is a hypocrite ready to help people for money but he can't be judged for his actions, he needs to make a living. Morgan is an abused runaway renegade Amazon and her problems follow wherever she goes bringing destruction and distress but forget judgment! And James that poor pathetic excuse for a member of our team. We keep him around for what? Entertainment. You all think I'm going to destroy the world? You haven't had half a clue what been going on this year!

Pan back to Eve and Alex watching this scene

Eve - Was it true?

Alex - (speaking as Alex) At the time? Yeah. The Gods were making me focus on all the negative things that had happened. I wasn't thinking about how Craig gave me a direction while his family took me in or that Jeff showed me more tolerance than anyone should. James cared about my well-being and you . . .you saved my life and my soul more times then I can count. The Gods used the negative events to sway my mind, completely omitting the positive. It's the ultimate form of deception.

Eve - I wish I could have saved you from the fate you suffer from now.

Alex - You did save me. I have purpose on Olympus and my own mission to fulfil now. It's because of you that I am whole. There is no blame here.

Eve smiles a little then frowns and looks away. Alex notices this look and realises something.

Alex - But blame is in your nature, you've been groomed by blame and anger, it was the only way to emotionally survive in a world without love or compassion. . .

Focus in on Eve's face as she looks confused by the remark. As we pan out we now see she is in a blue roman garment. Her hair in done up in long brown curls. She is in an eloquent roman home in the garden. Eve looks around astonished.

Eve - It can't be!

Voice - Can't it Livia?

Suddenly Eve screams out in anger and lashes out to hit Alfidia. Alfidia catches Eve's wrist without even flinching.

Alfidia - Come on I taught you better then that!!

Alfidia backhands Eve in the face so hard that she spins around. Eve uses this spin to backhand Alfidia in the face but Alfidia catches her arm and knees Eve in the back. Eve retaliates quickly by doing a swift roundhouse kick but Alfidia ducks. Alfidia moves on Eve with a kick punch combo. Eve blocks the kick with her arm and catches the fist in her hand leaving Alfidia open for a punch to her left cheek which spins Alfidia around.

Eve then grabs Alfidia in a chock hold and runs up a sidewall twisting Alfidia around and choking her in pain. Eve then flips Alfidia on to her back on the ground. Eve is about to punch her out when Alfidia bursts out laughing.

Eve suddenly remembers what in going on and ashamed at her sudden burst of anger moves away from Alfidia avoiding looking at her. Alfidia stands up still laughing.

Alfidia - Good. You reacted and adapted just like I taught you.

Eve looks up at Alfidia in shock.

Eve - What?!

Alfidia - I knew you could be the best. When the Emperor assigned me to take over your tutelage I saw you had potential. I demanded the best out of everything you ever did and you became Rome's greatest champion.

Eve - And their greatest murderer and monster!

Alfidia - So much regret! I made you Livia and I never once regretted it. Even at the end.

Eve - Made me? Please. I take responsibility for my actions.

Alfidia - Yes, your actions and everyone else's. You would prefer to bare the weight of the world as punishment for the things you've done rather than use the lessons of your past.

Eve - Use them?

Alfidia - Think about it. When you converted you didn't use your knowledge of Rome, your training or even the dark side to help combat evil. You failed in a lot of ways. Know your enemy, that was my golden rule but you were so ashamed that you decided to reinvent yourself as a Preacher and banish your past as if it never happened

Eve - So I could preach Eli's word without being a hypocrite so . . . so . . . (realizes the truth and put her head down in shame) So I could forget the pain and evil I caused. But the world doesn't let you change, not when you've done so much evil.

Alfidia - But a preacher is not who you are. You're not Eli. You can't be Xena nor Callisto and you won't let yourself be Livia. You just keep running from the past and hiding behind ideals and expectations of who you're supposed to be.

Eve - No ,no, no, no! NO! I use my skills to combat evil, I preach in modern ways, I've helped people, I've redeemed souls, I've saved lives . . . .!

Alfidia - So what's the problem? You've made great strides, you've done good things. So why do you think that everything bad that has happened is a punishment?

Eve - You're not Alfidia. . . You're still my guide.

Alfidia - In the form of an old mentor from the past.

Eve - You made my life hell. Thinking about you brings up a lot of anger and a lot of hate.

Alfidia - So you bury me deep inside your psyche? No wonder you can't let go of the past and have unresolved issues. You don't face it, you bury it.

Eve - You don't get it. You made me feel angry and hateful. I don't want to be like that again.

Alfidia - No you don't get it. To feel is to be human. Feeling in every way, even anger. You won't let yourself feel hate or anger because you think that if you can rise above basic human emotion than you can make up for the hateful person you were in the past!! So who are you if you won't let yourself be human? Who are you Eve? WHO ARE YOU?

Eve - I DON'T KNOW!!! (takes a deep shuddering breath) I'm scared to find out.

Alfidia - You will never know. To know where you're going you have to acknowledge where you've been.

Eve - (growls and shakes her head) I never could do anything right for you. You always liked Tao An better! (remembers something) Oh . . . Tao An.

Alfidia - Yes your companion. One of the memories of the past you've buried so deep back in the recesses of your mind.

Eve - I was jealous. I always felt you favoured her over me. All I wanted was your love. When Ares took over my training he gave me a different way to channel my anger. When I began fighting I saw all who rejected Rome as all who rejected me.

Alfidia - And it hurt when you were rejected. You tried so hard to please me. You looked on me like a mother figure

Eve - (turns to Alfidia harshly) You were not my mother!

Alfidia - But that's where this anger stems from. All mother figures rejected you as a daughter. You thought there was something wrong with you for even your own birth mother who you had never known at that point had given you away. Or so you thought.

Eve- (starts shaking her head) No. That wasn't her fault, she was trying to save my life. The Gods were trying to kill me. I forgave her for leaving me.

Alfidia walks right up to Eve and morphs into Xena.

Xena - Did you?

Eve screams and launches herself at her mother!

COMMERCIAL

From "Looking Death in the Eye"
On the beach the carriage is burning. Xena gets up dazed and looks over to an unconscious Gabrielle. Athena, Hephaestus and Hades watch from the cliff.

Xena - Gabrielle, Gabrielle,(Gabrielle doesn't move and Xena becomes panicky) Eve? Eve?! Eve? [Whispers] Eve. (sees the burning carriage) Eve? Oh-- oh. Oh!( lets out a scream of anguish)

Athena -The prophecy has been shattered.

Xena - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (goes back over to Gabrielle) Gabrielle Gabrielle? Oh-- Gabrielle?(begins crying hysterically)

Xena gets up and looks up at the Gods with venom as the tears still flow and takes out poison

Xena - Each to his own. You to yours-- and me to mine!

Ares - (appears) No.

Xena - It's over. It's over. Join your family. Tell them it's a package deal. They get me, too.

Xena drinks the poison and falls down dead. Ares gathers up her body and takes her and Gabrielle away.

*Flash*

Eve - AHHH!

Eve falls back away from Xena. She's gasping for air and crawling away from Xena. Eve turns her back to Xena, but Xena, on her knees crawls over to Eve.

Xena - Eve. Eve it's alright to be angry. You have every right to be. I wanted to raise you in a loving home so I needed to make it appear that I had died and that you had died to get the Gods to leave us alone. . .

Eve - I KNOW!! (takes a deep breath) I know. (gets up as Xena does and turns around to face her mother) You gave me to Augustus to keep me safe until your plan worked but it all went wrong. I know all this. I've read the scroll, you and Gabrielle told me and Morgan made me watch the episode a hundred times! You gave up everything for me.

Xena - But you still feel hurt, abandoned.

Eve - Of course I hurt! All I ever wanted my whole life was to be loved. You can't possibly imagine the loneliness. It hurts to even remember.

Xena - I swear to you that I didn't want it to turn out that way

Eve - I know. I understand that now. And I'm not angry with you. I am angry that it had to happen this way. Fate just spun everything out of control. Even after we found each other, we were forced apart. By the paths we chose, death, and time. It's like fate is bound and determined to . . .

Xena - Keep us trapped in a cycle of pain. I know what it's like to have history repeat itself. I gave up Solan when he was a baby and I wanted to do right by you but you were ripped from my arms. And when I found my way back to you, I didn't even know you anymore.

Eve - That makes two of us.

Xena - But fate works both ways. I could have stayed frozen in that ice cave, you could have stayed Livia and nothing would be as it is now. But an avalanche did happen, sunlight poured into that cave and melted the ice away. I was granted a second chance to give you life again, a new life.

Eve - I tried to kill you!

Xena - But you didn't. We got another chance together. We got to know each other again, you got to experience the love I could never show you before and I could finally help you find a new way beyond the blood and violence that ruled both our lives.

Eve - Second chances. We're lucky you got it right the second time around. You might not have had a third and then where would we all be

Xena - It's said that second chances are rare but that's a lie. Chances are given all the time but no one ever sees them. They do the same thing over and over again expecting different results. When I stopped fighting and finally learned to pray that's when you opened your heart. That's when you were saved. And now you have been given a new life in a new time, a new place with new opportunities to help the world

Eve - How can I change the world when I feel like I can't change myself

Xena - Change comes in unexpected ways. I was finally able to end the cycle of pain between Callisto and me. I had hurt Callisto by taking away her family, then she took away my son. We were supposed to give back to each other. We finally did.

Eve - Callisto? I've heard of her. A lot of people have said Livia was a lot like Callisto

Xena - (apprehensive look) It's more then that. Eve, you are the re incarnation of Callisto

Eve - (looks at her mother shocked) But she was a monster!! . . . (realizes something) I was a monster.

Xena - She is the reason I got pregnant with you. She is you.

Eve - ( Eve turns away holding her head, tearing at her hair) It is just a cycle then. There is no way out.

Callisto(voice) - Scary isn't it?

Eve looks up and there is Callisto in place of Xena. Eve and Callisto are in Eve's apartment but Eve is dressed as Livia while Callisto standing there in her black leather and wild blond hair. Eve looks at herself in disgust.

Callisto - Wow these vision quests are a bitch sometimes huh?

Eve - (looks back up at Callisto) You!

Callisto - Me, you, it's all the same thing isn't it?

Eve - (turns away from Callisto) You don't know me.

Callisto - Know you. Dearie, I am you.

Callisto lets out her trademark shriek and jumps onto Eve's back knocking her down on to the floor. Callisto rolls over Eve and back up on to her feet. Eve gets back on to her feet and throws a punch that Callisto blocks but Eve retaliates by sending a swift kick to the side of her face.

Callisto comes back at Eve with a punch but Eve blocks it and knees her in the stomach sending Callisto back but gives Callisto an opening to kick Eve in the face that Eve falls to the ground. Callisto picks Eve up and throws her into the wall. Eve moves to punch Callisto but Callisto catches on to Eve's arm and punches her in the stomach then the face and throws her into the opposite wall next to the apartment door. Callisto moves to kick Eve but Eve blocks it with her own leg.

Eve and Callisto then grab a hold of each other and in a struggle go flying through the door and down the stairs into the back room.

In the back room Eve gets up and runs out into the empty centre for more room. Callisto saunters out after her.

Callisto - You know I'm getting a little confused. Are you fighting me or running from me? But then again that's what you do isn't? You fight all you are and then when you can't you just run away.

Cut to the centre where Eve backhands Callisto then sends a series of punches to her face and ducking low for a blow to the gut. Eve then swings around for another backhand but Callisto catches her arms and slams her against the wall. Callisto turns Eve around and catches her at the throat. Eve chops Callisto at the sides of the neck making her let go. Eve then grabs a hold of Callisto who in turn grabs a hold of her and they go flying on to the counter sliding down to the fall off the end.

Both women get up again and Callisto grabs a blender off the back counter and throws it at Eve who protects her self from the blow by having her back take the blow. Callisto then screams as she rips the register off the counter and throws it at Eve who ducks. Callisto rolls on to the ground and grabs a nearby butcher knife. Callisto begins slicing but Eve dodges the slices and catches Callisto's arms and throws her on to the counter. Callisto throws her head back knocking Eve in the face. Callisto turns around and throws the knife at Eve who ducks. The knife becomes embedded in the wall.

Eve runs and tackles Callisto down. Callisto flips Eve over. Callisto flips up over Eve on to her feet, picks Eve up and throws her into one of the gym mirrors breaking it.

Callisto- Ooh seven years bad luck

Eve gets up again and Callisto punches her down. Callisto moves to punch Eve gain when Eve grabs her arm as she gets up and throws Callisto into a mirror breaking it

Eve- Make that fourteen

Callisto- One for every year I was happy until Xena killed my family. She made me into the monster I am. What's your excuse?

Eve screams as she moves to kick but Callisto blocks it and backhands Eve so hard that Eve spins around. Eve retaliates by kicking Callisto so hard in the gut she knocks her down. Callisto gets up but Eve punches her right cheek, punches her left cheek and then punches Callisto so hard she knocks Callisto flat on her back. Eve jumps up and lands on Callisto continuing to punch her but suddenly Callisto catches both of her hands.

Callisto suddenly vanishes from under Eve and appears behind her. Eve gets up and looks at her

Callisto - So angry.

Eve - No . . . no.

Callisto - Oh Evie, grab a clue. You know what the definition of stupid is? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. You fight, you run, you bury your past, your hate, your pain. Its not going to go away. Confront it.

Eve - I don't want to be angry or hateful. I don't want to be like Livia or like you some sort of Psycho Barbie!

Callisto - Ouch!

Eve - But it always comes back to that. You were supposed to be saved and what happened? You were born again to become Livia.

Callisto - Then Livia became Eve. It looks like I was saved after all.

Eve - (sighs) I know this.

Callisto - When history repeats itself, you have the chance to change it, to right the wrongs yet you look at it as punishment instead of a gift. And you prefer to be punished because it will make up for the pain you caused but it won't! Only your will to good will do that. Your past can hold the key to a better future.

Eve - How?

Callisto - You know the past, the pain of the choices you made the first time. So, when you see the past repeat you can choose a different path. Xena and I fought and fought and brought so much pain and nothing but pain. When she realised this and finally chose compassion instead of violence . . .

A light suddenly glows around Callisto and she morphs into her angel form.

Callisto - And chose a different path, I was saved. Xena sacrificed her very soul and traded places with me in hell. My dark soul became purified but the waters of heaven and I was changed. Pure. I knew love again. In this pure state I was allowed to be re incarnated into a new body. You.

Eve - Me?

Callisto - And you are so special. You know such a dark hate but you also have a strong will to love. You have a balance of light and darkness in side of you. And you have to know both sides to be whole. And you can use the hard and painful lessons of the past to guide you to create a better future.

Eve - It's a painful road. There are dark times from the past. I fear there will be dark times to come

Callisto - Yes but that's what makes the wonderful times all the more special. You and I both know that nothing worth fighting for is easy and your journey is not over yet.

Voice - There's still more work to be done.

Eve turns around. She is back in her own clothes in the black space and Alex is there smiling at her.

Alex - And that means you got to get in there and get your hands dirty. You've made a lot of progress here and that will help your mental block of your powers, but you must learn to hone abilities.(walks over and puts her hands on Eve's shoulders) Do you understand what've I've been trying to show you? (morphs into Alfidia)

Eve - I think so.

Alfidia - When the past has come back to haunt you, you will know what to look for, know what had to be done to choose a better path for the future. You can overcome the obstacles your enemies throw at you(morphs into Xena)

Xena - And You have friends who trust and love you. Trust in them too. (morphs into Angel Callisto)

Callisto- It won't be easy and you will be plagued by failure and doubt. (morphs back into Alex)

Eve - But I choose to follow this path with all my heart. And that means opening myself to the past, facing it, using it, to be better.

Alex - Ah, the mind opens and in creeps wisdom. See, you are capable of change but big change comes with time, patience and discovery. Just remember, don't hide from who you were. Its part of who you are.

Eve - And who am I?

Alex - You're Eve and you're still figuring that out. And that's okay.

Eve - (nods and smiles) Yeah it is. And maybe I have to embrace that journey . . . (nods in more understanding) And evolve.

Alex - Now you're getting it! Now wake up.

Cut to a close up on face as her eyes are closed. Her eyes snap open.

Cut to a bird's eyes view in the park on the four demons standing over a fallen Eve. Suddenly all four go flying back away from Eve.

Cut to Eve as she gets up. Morgan, Jeff although a little hurt runs back into the area with Craig and James armed and ready. They look over to Eve. She raises her hands and all four demons are raised in the air. She flexes her hands and one by one the demons head begin to explode. Eve drops her hands and all headless, dead demons drop to the ground. Jeff, Morgan, Craig and James look at her in surprise.

Jeff - What the hell was that?!! Not five minutes ago you just blew us out of the park! Literally

Eve - (runs over to them) I know I'm so sorry!! (looks over Morgan and then look over Jeff) Are you guys okay? I swear I didn't mean for the to happen.

Morgan - (bats Eve's hands away) It's okay. We know you were trying to save us. What happened?

Eve - I got a good hit in the head. So you guys are okay?

Jeff - Yeah

Eve - (wavers a bit on her feet) Good. Cause I'm not

Eve falls backward and Craig and James react fast catching her and laying her gently on the ground. Craig feels the bump on her head.

Craig - Whoa that must be some hit on the head because that is one massive bump. Come on we better take you to the hospital and make sure you don't have a concussion.

They hoist Eve up and she leans on James and Craig's shoulders and walk her out of the park.

Morgan - (looks to Jeff and shrugs) At least she took my advice.

Fade out from Morgan, Jeff, James Eve and Craig walking out of the park and fade in to the next day the sun shining bright. We pan down on to a church as we fade to the inside. Eve is sitting in one of the pews. Natalie is sitting by her side. Natalie is looking confused

Natalie - I don't get it. What happened exactly?

Eve - (smiles and sighs) My "involuntary vision quest" made me realise that accepting your past and accepting that you can't change the past are two different things. Knowing that I couldn't change it only made me want to bury it away and forget it and not use it to better myself. Not accepting the past prevented me from seeing the past repeating itself as opportunities to rectify the mistakes I had made.

Natalie - (nods understanding) So the past and the pain from the past kept its hold on you making you doubt if change was even possible.

Eve - But it is possible even in me and I am changing. My powers are expanding and I will need them in the battles ahead but there is still much so work to do. I'll need your help. You've had your psychic ability all you life. You're strong with it, you know how to use it. I need to learn control, patience and the keys to unlock the secrets of the mind. Will you help me?

Natalie - Oh girl, you don't need to be a psychic to know I will help you anyway I can. Don't worry. We'll just start at the beginning.

Eve - (nods agreeing)Back to basics.

Natalie - Does it help (gestures around the church) being here, in this place?

Eve - Alex liked being here. She found solace, comfort even when there was none in her own life. (breathes in) I can feel the faith and love here. I feel renewed here.

Natalie - (smiles) We'll start some of your training in the morning. I'll see you later

Natalie leaves the church, leaving Eve alone.

Eve - (voice over commentary) Life is an amazing journey. Most don't even realise that the amazing part is the journey of discovering you are and what you can bring to this life. And it's always changing and moving forward and there's no harm in looking back. It might actually help you find your way forward. My path is more clouded then most but I think I know what I must do to continue on. If only Eli could give me a sign that it's the right way.

Priest - (puts a comforting hand on her shoulder) Your faith is strong my child

Eve -(looks up and smiles) Thank you (Eve looks away and then realizes something) Wait, what?

Eve looks back up and the priest is gone, nowhere in sight or that he'd ever been there at all.

Alex - (voice barely an echo in Eve's mind) Eve, you've only just begun to tap into the vastness of your powers.

Understanding Eve smiles again and nods to herself as she gets up and walks out of the church.
