Open to darkness. We see a match being lit. It illuminates Craig's face. We know it to be Thuvan. Thuvan lights a torch. He picks up the torch and lights others around the dark space. Within the dark hall there is large cage. Thuvan walks around and tests the sturdiness of the bars. He nods satisfied. A dark-haired man known as Marco comes into view behind him. Thuvan senses his presence

Thuvan – You’ve informed your men? I trust you all know what to do.

Marco – I thought you wanted us to go after the woman.

Thuvan – I’ve had to change my plans. The success of this plan will bring Alex to me.

Marco – You’re asking for more than what we signed on for. Our “success“ will require adequate . . . incentive

Thuvan – (rolls his eyes) Your money will be dispensed upon completion of your task.

Marco – But why these people? What’s so important about them?

Thuvan - (smiles and laughs softly) You wouldn’t understand. It’s more of a . . . family matter.

Cut to Natalie's apartment. Scattered candles and smoking incense still lie in the centre of the room. We pan up to the couch where Jeff, James, Natalie and Eve sit. Alex stands by the couch looking out the window. She has an angry look on her face as she watches the sun set.

Jeff – So he’s after Alex because he wants his wife back? That doesn’t make sense

James – Is Lucifer using Fraysa to goad Thuvan into destroying you? But why does he want Alex ?

Alex - He thinks taking me would weaken Eve. Taking Craig wasn't enough. He wants her to feel completely alone.

Eve –It’s not that. Oh, he wants me to suffer, he was adamant about that, that’s why he chose Alex. But when I did that mind search, I saw what was at the core of all of this. It’s his wife. He wants her back, body and soul, for eternity.

Natalie – But to do that, he’d have to take Fraysa’s soul from . . . from where ever it passed on to. It’s unnatural!

Jeff – We’re talking about the devil here! This whole situation is unnatural!

Eve – (shakes her head) I don't think this was Lucifer's idea. Divine law being broken has consequences of the likes that I can’t even begin to contemplate. I can’t imagine Lucifer is willing to pay such a high price.

James – He’s not doing anything to stop it.

Eve – I guess he’s willing to turn a blind eye if the plan destroys me. But I won’t let it. I’m not going to let this happen. We’re going to stop him from taking a soul and we’re going to protect Alex

Alex - Sun's set! I'm outta here!

Alex bounds out of Natalie's apartment

Eve - ALEX!!

James and Eve go after Alex while Jeff stays with Natalie

Cut to outside the apartment building. James and Eve run out the door and across the street to catch up with Alex who is walking at a fast pace.

Eve - What are you doing?

Alex - I'm going to kill Thuvan!

Alex is making her way down the street at a brisk pace as James and Eve are practically jogging to keep up with her.

Eve - (grabs on to Alex's arm to stop her) You can't kill Thuvan !

Alex - Oh I'll find a way

Eve - What about Craig?

Alex - I would rather Craig die and go to a place where he belongs then have him stuck melded with that lunatic.

Eve – Weren’t you listening! Craig told me there is no way his soul is freed unless Thuvan releases him

Alex - (shakes her head) Screw it! I'm going after him!

Eve - (getting angry now) You’re doing exactly what Thuvan wants!

Alex - I don't care! (turns away and walks off)

Eve - BUT I DO!

Alex stops dead in her tracks. She stomps her foot

Alex - (mutters to herself) Damn it. (turns around slowly to look at Eve) Fine.

Jeff runs up to them

Jeff - Hey! What's going on? Are we . . .

Eve – (stops him knowing what he’s thinking) No. Going demon hunting right now gives the opportunity Thuvan needs to go after Alex.

Jeff – A couple of us should go patrolling though. For tonight James and I can take care of that. You two need to be careful. Thuvan's aware now. He knows that we know. He’s going to change his plans.

Eve - Are you sure you two are going to be okay?

James – Don’t worry about us. And Jeff is right. Thuvan might try and lure Alex out. He could use someone both Alex and Craig care about

Alex – Besides you guys?

Eve - (eyes go wide with realization) Craig's family.

Fade to Alex's loft. Alex walks in the door and tries to slam it behind her but Eve catches it and walks in. She sighs as she watches Alex pace back and forth in an agitated manner. Alex rips off her jacket and throws it across the room.

Alex - Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap. CRAP!!

Eve – You’re mad.

Alex – I’M NOT MAD!! (stops short and takes a deep breath) Okay I’m mad. But this whole thing has gone from bad to worse!

Eve – We have to tell Craig’s family what’s going on. And really Alex, you should have told them about Craig from the start!

Alex - Oh yeah because that's a cheerful conversation (mocking cheeriness) Hello Mr. and Mrs. Summers. You son is dead! He was killed by a demon. Oh, and now his soul has been merged with a soul from hell. And just a head’s up, he coming for you now! (wipes the false cheeriness off her face and looks back to Eve) That's not a good conversation at any time Eve.

Eve – It’s going to be worse now.

Alex – Why do we have to tell them at all? We protect this whole city is secret, we can do it for them too!

Eve – We don’t know how Thuvan is going to come at them. He will use our secrets as a weapon! If they were to get captured by their own son and learn the truth . . . can you imagine how devastating that would be? If we're going to protect them, keep them out of harm's way, they should know why. And they deserve to know the truth from you. And it needs to be done as soon as possible.

Alex - Tomorrow. We’ll do it tomorrow.

Fade from Alex to a quiet suburban street the next morning. A taxi drives along the streets and stops in front of a house. Alex and Eve get out of the taxi. Alex pays the driver and he drives off. Alex comes up to stand by Eve as they look up at the house.

Alex - (takes in a deep breath and lets out a long sigh) Wow! This place brings back memories. These people were always very good to me. When I lost everything they took me in.

Eve - I'm sure they love you as much as they love any of their children.

Alex – I doubt they’ll feel that way much longer. Not after I tell them what happened!

Eve - Sometimes you disappoint the people you care about but that doesn't mean they will love you any less.

Alex - I hope you're right

Alex and Eve walk up the pathway to the door and knock on it. They wait a few moments before it's opened by a rather tall man with dark hair and a beard, dressed in casual clothes. He smiles brightly when he sees Alex.

Man - Alex!

Alex - Hi Mr. Summers

Mr. Summers - (gives a stern look then ruffles her hair affectionately) What's with this "Mr." stuff?

Alex - (leans in to give him a hug while she smiles) Sorry. Hi Bobby.

Bobby smiles and gives Alex a hug. He sees Eve and looks to her surprised and confused. Alex notices this.

Alex - Oh sorry! Bobby this is Eve. Eve this is Robert Summers. Craig’s dad

Bobby - So this is Eve?

Eve - It's nice to meet you

Bobby - What brings you to the neighborhood?

Alex - (frowns) Uh, Craig is actually the reason why I'm here

Bobby - (surprised) Oh! Well okay then come on in.

Alex and Eve follow Bobby inside.

Cut to inside. Alex closes the door behind her and they find themselves in a modest home. At the landing they see stairs leading to the second level of the house. To their right they see a step leading down to a simple living room. They enter the living room. Panning around the living room we see a comfortable beige couch and the door way to the kitchen. Eve sees a rocking chair she recognized from doing the mind search. It sits next to a fire place. Pan farther to right we see the TV by the window.

Bobby - I'll just get Serena.

Bobby leaves the room. Eve walks around the living room looking at the photos on the wall. She frowns. As Alex leans against the fireplace mantle she sees Eve’s look

Alex – What’s wrong?

Eve – it’s just . . . being here. . . It’s not what I expected.

Alex – And what did you expect?

Eve – I don’t know. . . I’m just trying to picture Craig growing up here.

Voice – (bored) Are you having trouble? Why? We’re just a normal family, doing normal things.

Alex and Eve turn around to see Chris come down the stairs and plop down on the beige couch. He is still decked out head to toe in leather but his hair is now cropped short and has been dyed bleach blond.

Alex - What would you know about it?

Chris - (scowls) Plenty since Craig tattled on me and had my powers bound

Chris smiles lecherously as he looks Eve up and down. He gets up from his spot and advances toward Eve slowly.

Chris – And how are you Eve? You’re looking . . . powerful. We should get together sometime and “talk”

From her spot by the fire place Alex rolls her eyes and gags lightly

Eve – (curls her lip in disgust) I didn’t come here for this

Chris – You misjudge me . . . I’m a good guy. I’m just disillusioned and embattled . . .

Alex – (mutters) And suffering from withdrawal . . .

Chris – Screw you!!

Alex – (smiles casually) Oh go on Eve. Why don’t you go out with him?

Eve – What?!

Chris - (surprised) Really?

Alex – Yeah! She’ll just go and expel the rest of her stomach contents and meet you around quarter to . . . NEVER!

Eve puts a hand over her mouth to keep from laughing out loud while Chris just scowls and turns away. At that time Bobby walks in with Serena a small dark-haired woman

Serena - Alex (walks over and embraces Alex in a hug after coming out of the hug she looks to Eve) And you must be Eve. We’ve heard about you. Craig has been reluctant to introduce us. . . (looks at Eve strangely for a moment)

Eve – What is it?

Serena – You look familiar somehow (laughs it away) . . . it’s probably nothing.

Alex – Serena . . . I . . .I need to tell you something.

Serena – It’s about Craig isn’t it? What’s wrong? What’s happened?

Bobby walks over to hold Serena in his arms and she grabs hold. Chris rolls his eyes sighs

Alex – How . . .

Bobby – We’ve been wondering for a while now.

Serena – We knew he was planning to go to Europe, but he just leaves without saying good-bye? We haven’t heard anything from him in months. Not a phone call, or even an email. Craig has been cryptic lately (gestures to Eve) even a little secretive but he’s never been like this. What has happened to Craig? Alex, what is wrong?

Alex - Well . . . You see . . . Craig . . . You knew we . . . um . . .

Eve - Craig's dead.

COMMERCIAL

Serena - What!?!?

Alex – Eve!!

Eve - This had to be said. They need to know, their very lives could depend upon it

Bobby - Is this some sort of joke?

Eve - Mr. and Mrs. Summers, do you know what your son did for a living?

Bobby - What are you talking about?

Eve - (looks to Alex surprised then back to Craig's parents) You really don't have any idea. There's so much you don't know

Bobby - Well maybe you should tell us what we don't know

Chris - (smirks)Like how she's the Messenger of Eli?

Serena - (looks to her son then back to Eve in shock) I thought you looked like the pictures in my mother’s stories but . . .

Alex- (sighs) It's true.

Eve - I'm sure you are aware of both your children's extraordinary ability with the magical arts. Your son used a spell that has brought me from the past into the future.

Serena - (shakes her head) That's impossible. The Messenger lived a full life. She couldn't have been taken from the past. Her life was recorded until death. She was eighty.

Eve - (looks to Alex again surprised) Why didn't you tell me about that?

Alex – What would have been the point?

Chris - (snorts) This is ridiculous!

Bobby - Shut up Christopher!

Chris - Whatever! I'm going upstairs

Chris leaves to go upstairs and Serena just shakes her head cover her mouth to stop the sobs. Bobby just glares at both Alex and Eve

Eve – I know this is a lot to take in but please try to understand . . .

Serena - Why would Craig defy the laws of time to bring you here?

Eve – He believed I could help. I don’t know how to explain the battle that exists here in this time, the balance between good and evil has shifted . . .

Serena – Its been shifting toward evil for decades! I grew up on these prophesies

Eve and Alex look to Serena who is now sitting on the couch with her head in her hands. She looks up her eyes all red and puffy.

Serena - My family comes from a line of demon hunters and warriors. Weapons like the Phoenix Sword have been passed down through the ages, as well as skills of shamans and sorcerers. My mother was a skilled warrior and shamaness. She was training me to . . .

Bobby - She was training her to fight demons. I’ve never believed in such things. Serena and I agreed that we wanted a life based in reality, not mysticism and prophesy.

Eve – These are not stories. Demons plague this earth. Souls are being damned and lives hang in the balance. The hell-mouths that are scattered through this city alone feed people’s hatred and descent into darkness.

Serena - My mother used to say the same thing. Then she filled Craig with those ideas.

Eve - Wanting peace and willing to fight for it is not a bad thing!

Bobby – We never wanted to fight at all!!

Bobby’s raised voice startles Eve and Alex.

Serena – I’ve seen my mother’s “path.” It’s full of violence . . . (sobs) and death.

Alex – It has honour and meaning! It filled Craig with purpose! I followed him because of his dedication!

Serena - Oh really. Then tell me why I had to have one of my son's powers bound while the other one is . . .is (begins to sob)

Alex - Serena, Bobby please listen to me . . . there’s more to this . . .

Bobby – (shakes his head) This is the second time he’s broken our hearts . . . And the second time you helped him do it.

Alex looks hurt as Bobby walks out of the room. Serena is still sitting on the couch crying. Eve is torn between comforting Alex or Serena

Serena - (whispers) How did Craig die?

Eve - (sits down next to Serena) That’s just it. We are not sure that he actually is dead.

Serena - (looks up shocked) What do you mean?

Eve – (hesitates as she tries to find the words. )We were in a terrible fight and a friend got caught up in the middle. A demon was going to kill him and Craig sacrificed his own life to save him.

Serena - A demon killed my child.

Eve - The demon was host to a damned soul that wanted revenge. He took Craig's body and combined their souls. He lives as Craig and he . . .he’s out for revenge

Serena - That's impossible!

Eve - This damned soul seeks revenge and he won't stop until he has it. He might come after you. That's why we wanted to warn you.

Serena - Stop it. . .

Alex – Serena, I know this is hard to accept . . .

Serena - STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!!!!!!!!

Serena stands up and picks Eve up by the arm and throws her over beside Alex

Serena - Get out of my house!!!

Eve - We're worried about your safety!

Serena - SHUT UP! You come into my house you tell me that my son is dead. Then you tell me that he is possessed and wants revenge and you're worried about my wellbeing? You’re sick!!! Get out of my house! NOW!!!!!

Alex - Serena please . . . .

Serena rushes over and grabs a vase from the mantel over the fire place. Alex and Eve duck as she throws it at them. Eve and Alex run out of the house.

Cut to a bedroom. We can hear the screams of Serena from downstairs and we pan over to Chris on his bed smirking. He walks over to the desk and picks up his cell. He dials the number as he walks over to the window. He sees Alex and Eve run out of the house and down the street.

Chris - (on the phone) She was just here. . . . Yeah, she told them everything. . . . How do you think they took it? My mother is screaming down stairs as we speak. . . . Yeah well, she still warned them so if you're going to make a move you better make it now. Just remember your part of the deal.

Chris presses a button tosses the phone on the bed. He stares out the window and a wide grin spreads across his face.

Cut to the center later that afternoon. The center is open and there are people working out in gym area and others are chatting around the juice bar. Jeff rushes in looking uneasy. He looks around and finds a young blond woman at the juice bar. He walks over

Jeff – Hey Claire! I got a call from James. Where is he?

Just as Claire is about the answer a loud crash comes from the backroom. She looks at Jeff exasperated.

Claire – That’s been happening on and off since Eve and Alex got back! I think Alex had some kind of psychotic break! Eve and James have been in there for hours trying to calm her down!

Jeff – (sighs) Family issues

Another crash sounds off from the backroom

Jeff – (walks towards the backroom) I’ll take care of it.

Cut to the backroom. Alex smashes a crate on the ground as Jeff enters

Alex – NOW EVERYTHING IS WORSE!

Jeff – (to James) So the talk with Craig’s parents didn’t go well.

James – We’ve been trying brainstorm ways to protect them. Keeping Alex on task has been . . .

Alex – (picks up another crate) We shouldn’t have told them! They could walk right into Thuvan’s trap now! They hate me!! I let them down. I let their son . . .

Eve - (grabs the crate away from Alex) We should have told them from the start. We didn’t. But they know now and Thuvan can’t use that secret against them or us. And yes, they are upset and they should be. But we can’t focus on that right now. Our priority now is protecting them from Thuvan.

Jeff's cell phone rings. He takes out the phone and look at who's calling

Jeff - It's the station. I have to take this.

Jeff walks out of the backroom. Eve sits down on another crate and puts her head in her hands. James looks at her.

James – You look tired. Why don’t you and Alex gets some rest. I’ll talk to Jeff, maybe we arrange some police protection for Craig’s family

Alex – I can’t sleep. I can barely function.

Eve- You’ve been in pain. We all have. This whole thing hasn’t been easy for any of us.

Alex – But you’ve kept it together. For Craig, for humanity. You’ve been patient. You've been putting up with me letting me act stupid when you really should have knocked me upside the head.

Eve and James smile

Alex – We’ve got a job to do. We’ve got people to save. Craig is caught in the middle and now so is his family.

Eve – We can save them and him

Alex – You can save him

Eve looks at Alex and smiles. Alex smiles and nods.

Alex – I believe in you Eve. When Craig made the decision to bring you here, I did everything to talk him out of it. But he believed that you could save people. Show them a better way. And he was right. I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes. Not with spells and magic but with love and kindness.

Eve- But all this is happening because of what I did to Thuvan

James – No Eve. I was there in Thuvan’s mind with you. I saw what you saw. No, you weren’t a good person, but neither was Thuvan. You’ve changed though. You’ve owned your mistakes, you’re trying to make things better. He won’t

Eve – Because he’s in pain. He’s holding on to his pain because he thinks it justifies what he’s doing (thinks for a minute) But maybe his pain is the way to get through to him.

Alex – You’ve got to get him to stop hurting other people first

Jeff bursts into the backroom in a panic

Jeff - We have a major problem!! Several mutated beasts just attacked a suburban area. Men have begun looting homes and terrorizing families’!!! Craig's family lives close by!!!

Eve, James, Jeff and Alex run out of the centre.

COMMERCIAL

A car drives up toward a barricade of police cars block the entrance to the area. The car stops and Jeff, Eve, Alex and James get out of the car. Jeff flashes his badge at the officer and nods to the trio behind him.

Jeff - They're with me

The officer nods and lets Jeff Eve Alex and James through the entrance. The four enter the suburban area. We pan out over the area. Motorcycles are parked all around the streets and strong men are looting the homes. A loud roar is heard and several mutated beasts, ape creatures like the one encountered in "Heroes" are jumping on cars and tearing houses apart. Some are swinging from the lamp posts before breaking them off.

Jeff - What the hell happened here?

Officer - We don't know! We all got the 911 call! When we got here, those creatures went crazy and trashed two of our cars. We were able to call back up and set up a blockade.

Jeff - Were you able to get the residents out of here?

Officer - We were able to get people out and treat the injured. It’s strange but these animals are just concentrating on this area. They could wipe us out, but they won’t go past the blockade.

Eve – They’re a distraction!

Officer - This gang came in on their motorcycles from the entrance on the other side. They’re able to control the monsters! But they won’t leave the area.

Alex - (to herself) Craig's family is on the other side of this neighborhood.

Jeff - Okay first thing's first! We need to control these creatures. We want every available officer here and loads of tranquilizers!

Eve - No! (Eve walks over to Jeff and the officer) Jeff, don't you recognize these creatures? They're exactly like the one we encountered a few weeks back.

Jeff - So what if they are? You can't reason with every single one of them like you did the last one.

Eve - I know but if tranquilizers didn't work on that beast, they are not going to work on these ones. You need to call animal control. They have tazers

Officer - Animal control doesn't use devices like that.

Eve - But . . . I saw them . . . they . . .

Jeff - We don't have time to think about that now. Get those devices and make sure animal control uses them and everyone on the force uses them. NOW MOVE!!

The officer jumps at Jeff's orders and runs to his car to radio in the help. Eve turns around to see Alex gone

Eve - Where's Alex?

Eve Jeff and James look over to a house where there seems to be some commotion. A guy is thrown head first out the door of a house. Alex walks out after they guy and grabs him by the collar and slams his head against a lamp post

Eve - ALEX!

Eve Jeff and James run over to Alex

Jeff - What are you doing? This is a police situation!!!

Alex - (still holding on to the man in the leather vest) What did you do the families on the other side of this suburb? The Summers house is one of the first houses, near the other entrance. Where are they?!

The guy Alex is holding now with a busted lip and a bleeding nose starts laughing

Thug - Summers residence number 515. Oh yeah, we made a little pit stop there first. They were on their way out when they heard the commotion. We were glad to take them away from the situation

Alex swings the guy around. She lifted him a few inches off the ground.

Alex - YOU BASTARD! WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM?!!

Alex is about to injure him further when Eve stops her

Eve - Alex stop it!!

The Thug starts laughing again when he takes out a wooden like flute and plays a note. Out of nowhere an ape beast comes bounding toward Alex and Eve. James and Jeff jump out of the way. Alex and Eve jump up and flip over the beast. It stops in its tracks, confused wondering where they went.

The Thug is about to make a run for it when he bumps into Jeff and James

Jeff - You control that thing? Call it off

Thug- Fat chance!

Jeff swings his foot around and knocks the flute out of his hand and punches the Thug out with a right hook to the left side of his face. James walks over to the flute and steps on it breaking it into two.

The beast was bounding toward Alex and Eve again but then stops . It looks around confused then just sits down in the middle of the street. Alex and Eve look at the thing confused at what just happened.

James holds up the broken flute.

James - He was controlled by this. Break the flute, break the spell!

Alex - It looks so timid!

Voice from behind - Such a waste!

They turn around and they see a man we know as Marco. Behind him is his gang of bikers.

Marco - Wen they're like this they are easier to control but so hard to manipulate into doing anything. Unlike the first one, he was wild!

Alex - The Summers, where are they? Why did you take them?

Marco - (chuckles) Business transaction. Don’t worry about them. We promised our man Chris, we wouldn't hurt them if he gave us the ample opportunity to come and take them.

Eve - You were having Chris keep tags on his own family and you knew the best time to take them was right after they threw us out not letting us keep an eye on them.

Alex - I am going to fry that bleached haired creep!!!

Marco - Relax. If the blond feisty chick comes with us now, we will send Craig's family back

Eve - No deal!

Marco - Now or later, she will go to our boss. Continue with the houses boys! We'll let the animals deal with the Messenger and her friends.

Off to the side they hear the anguish scream of an animal followed by another. Everyone looks over. Pan over to where the police and animal control are coming in, all with electrocuting devices that they are using to shock the beasts with. Eve winces a little at the animals howling in pain but let out a small sigh of relief when she saw animal control was gathering them up and putting the animals into the trucks safely. Eve looks back over to Marco who is now looking angry

Alex took that moment to charge at the gang of bikers tackling three of them down. Jeff kicks the gun out of the hand one of the men, catches it and used the butt of the gun to knock out the few others that came at him. James follows suit and tackles a guy down that was charging toward Jeff. Jeff turns around just as James gets on top of the guy and punches him out.

Jeff - Thanks!

James - I got your back!

Jeff sees another member of the gang aim a gun at James. Jeff quickly aims is gun and shoots the man in the knee cap and the man falls to the ground

Jeff - And I got yours!

Pan back over to Marco and Eve. Marco pulls out a long chain and wraps it around his knuckles. He looks over to Eve

Marco - Word is, you don't fight human beings.

Eve - I don't fight those with souls

Marco - Well I'm no angel but I know I still got a soul which means I can beat you to a pulp and you won't do a thing about it

Eve - It's true I don't want to hurt you

Marco charges at Eve and lashes out the end of the chain to hit Eve. Eve lifts her wrist to have the chain wrap around it. She then grabs the chain and pulls to flip Marco over on to his back making him let go of the chain.

Eve - But doesn't mean I won't defend myself

Marco propels himself up by his legs and turns around to face Eve. He is clearly mad now. He charges toward Eve again screaming. Eve lifts the chain up swinging it around like a lasso. She whips the chain outward toward Marco wrapping around both his wrists. Eve yanks the chain flipping Marco over but he just lands on his feet. He lifts his foot up to kick Eve but she just blocks the kicks with her own legs. Marco uses the chain against her and wraps the end of the chain on her end around her wrists which closes the distance between Marco and Eve. He yanks the chain flipping Eve over. She also lands on her feet. Seeing that they are still connected by the chain but now closer together Eve bends forward lift her leg up behind her and kicking Marco in the head. As he is slightly disillusioned for the moment Eve takes the opportunity to kick Marco in the stomach releasing his wrists from the bind and spinning him outward. Eve unwraps her wrists and lashes the chain out like a whip wrapping the chain around Marco's legs and pulling so he lands flat on his back.

As Marco lands on his back behind him we get a clear view of Alex as she picks up a biker over her head and uses him as a shield as she bowls over several members of the gang. She then drops the guy and flips over to Marco. She picks him up by the hair

Alex - Where's the Summers?!? TELL ME

Marco - (in pain as Alex pulls on his hair) I'm not telling you anything

Eve - James use your powers see if you can get a premonition or a vision

James runs over and touches Marco's chest

Cut to James' premonition. He sees a dark lair. He speeds through the dark structure and comes into a lair lighted only by torches and sees Thuvan as Craig as he turns around and smiles wickedly. The vision P.O.V. soars upward and James see the Empire State Building

Cut back to a close-up on James' face. He opens his eyes.

James - Thuvan's in the sewers under the Empire State Building.

Alex lets go of Marco. She jumps up and flips over several of the bikers who are just getting up and lands right on motorbike landing on the starter petal. She skids the bike around.

Alex - COME ON!

Several of the bikers move to block Eve’s way. Eve runs toward them and flips up. She lands on their shoulders to propel her up even higher. She soars up and flips over lands on the motorcycle behind Alex. Alex skids around and does a pop a wheel in the air and skids around once more on the hind wheel as Eve holds on tight before they zoom off down the road out of the suburb. The bikers turn back to see a load of cops all pointing their guns at them. James and Jeff are at the front of the line.

Jeff - Put your hands up! You're under arrest!

All the bikers put their hands up.

Cut to the streets of New York on the highway to Manhattan. Alex and Eve are swerving and weaving their way through the streets on the motorcycle.

Eve - (over the cars beeping) I hope you know what you're doing!

Alex - I have no intention of giving myself to that lunatic Eve but we have to save Craig's family.

Eve - I don't want to lose you either

Alex - You won't. Sorry Eve but you're stuck with me

Eve smiles as Alex presses on the accelerator and Alex and Eve speed forward.

Cut to the dark lair under the Empire State Building. Thuvan is sitting on a chair across from the cage where Serena, Bobby and Chris sit. Chris stands up and walks over to the door of the cage. He rattles the door lightly but he finds it's firmly locked. Thuvan smirks and walks over to the cage

Chris – Okay, you can let me out now.

Thuvan - What are you talking about?

Chris - I know the plan was for me to look like I was being captured but that was just to get me here right? You agreed to unbind my powers . . . to get me a fix!

Thuvan - Oh that. Yes, well I have decided you should stay in the cage a little longer.

Chris - How long?

Thuvan - Until I get Alex

Chris - THAT WASN'T PART OF THE DEAL!!!

Serena - (stands up) You made a deal with him? We’re being used as bargaining chips to get Alex? We (points to Bobby then herself) are your family!

Bobby - You're going to get to innocent people killed!

Thuvan - (snorts in amusement) Eve is anything but innocent

Serena - (turns to Thuvan in fury) She's better than you!

Chris – That’s not what you thought when you accused Alex and Eve of hurting you when she told us Craig died.

Serena turns to her son and slapped him. There are tears in her eyes

Serena - I never thought I'd be ashamed of my own son (turns back to Thuvan) Craig please! If you are anywhere in there, fight him! Fight Thuvan.

Thuvan - Do not fear for him. I am putting his soul and body to good use. As one we will destroy Eve.

Serena - Why? Eve is fighting for peace. Our son was fighting for peace before you took him!!

Thuvan - I fought for peace once and it brought me death and a couple thousand years in hell. Woman, peace is over-rated.

Cut to up above the lair on a street near the Empire State Building. Alex and Eve drive the motorcycle in to an Alleyway and peak out from the corner of a building. They see a manhole uncovered and some men doing the maintenance work around the street.

Alex - Want to make a run for it?

Eve - Let's go

Alex and Eve dive out from the alleyway into the middle of the street they run toward the man hole into the section where maintenance is being done. Some of the workers stop what they are doing and yell at the two to get out of there and some other yell 'what are you doing?' but Alex and Eve ignore them as they dive into the man hole out of sight.

Cut to down inside the sewers below the streets. Alex and Eve are walking through the tubular structure at a fast pace. They stop when they come to an opening. They duck into the corner and peak out. There are at least twenty guards, but they see several cages. Inside the cages are ape like creatures like the ones they saw in the suburbs.

Eve - (in a whisper) In the name of Eli! They’ve been breeding these animals for mass destruction

They look farther over to other cages holding large mutated spiders.

Alex - Oh gross! That's like that spider the weird scientist had

Eve - He was working with Thuvan! Those things were created to attack us!

Alex - And the city.

Eve and Alex hear voices coming from another opening in the sewer to the left of them. They fly past the entrance that held the caged beasts and duck in the corner of another entranceway. They peak inside to see a large cage holding the Summers. Thuvan in Craig's body is standing in front of the cage.

Serena – What would you know about peace? You never fought for peace, you fought out of vengeance.

Eve - (steps out into the opening) He still fights for vengeance

Thuvan turns around in shock. Behind him Serena and Bobby smile while Chris just stands there dumbfounded.

Eve - I'm trying to atone for my past. You're just digging yourself in deeper. I’m not responsible for your sins Thuvan but I will not let you hurt another innocent life.

Thuvan - Alone you can't stop me

Alex comes out into the opening to stand beside Eve

Alex - She's not alone.

Thuvan – (smiles as he sees Alex) You won't be able to open this cage. It has a charm on it and it cannot be opened by magic. Only I have the key.

Alex throws a blue energy sphere at the cage. Serena and Bobby stand back as the cage door is blasted open.

Alex - Good 'old energy ball seemed to do the trick just nicely

Thuvan scowls but them smirks when he sees his guards run in. Alex jumps up and swings her foot around and kicks two guards in the face. Eve runs toward Thuvan. She jumps up and flips over him kicking him in the back sending him flying into some more guards knocking them down. Eve lands by the cage opening up the door and ushering the Summers out.

Alex holds back the guards as the Summers run out of the lair.

Alex- Run straight down to the end of the sewer! You'll find a way out through an open man hole.

Bobby - What about you and Eve?

Alex - We're going to take care of these guys.

Thuvan gets up angry with uncharted fury in his eyes.

Thuvan - DO IT!! DO IT NOW!!!!

Three demon monks come out from the shadows they begin to chant.

Alex stops moving right in her tracks. Her legs seem to be stuck to the ground and she can't move any part of her body except for her eyes and her mouth.

Alex - Eve! I can't move!!

Eve - ALEX!!!

Eve makes a run toward Alex but two guards zap her with the electrocuting devices they were using on the animals. She falls backward and struggles to get up again. The two guards use this opportunity to pick up Alex and run down the sewer at the other end of the lair the other guards and monks following them.

Alex - (voice in the distance) EVE!!! EVE!!!HELP!!

Eve - ALEX!!!

Eve stands up and makes a run after Alex but Thuvan blocks her way and pushes her back down. Bobby comes in just then and tries to grab Eve and drag her out. Thuvan looks at Eve, he is smiling and laughing wickedly

Thuvan - Bye Bye!

Eve struggles against Bobby's grip as Thuvan holds up an electrocuting device to the ceiling and sends an electrical current through the lair. The lair begins to shake and cave in. Thuvan makes a run out the other side

Bobby - COME ON!!

Eve -THEY HAVE ALEX!!NOOOOOO!!!!

The lair caves in. Rocks upon rocks fall on top of each other
