Open with morning light streaming into the huge window of Alex's loft. We pan over to a digital clock that has just turned to 9:00. We hear a knock at the door. We pan over to see Alex coming out of her bedroom in a daze with an overly grumpy look on her face. She walks over to the door and opens it. Eve is standing there smiling

Eve - Good morning!

Alex grunts

Eve - James is looking after the preparations for the Valentines Day dance so I thought I'd come over to wake you up (hold up her hands with mail in one and a cup of coffee in the other) I brought mail and coffee.

Alex takes the cup of coffee and takes a big gulp. Then she steps aside and motions with her head for Eve to come in

Eve - I know you're not a morning person but you're grumpier than normal today.

Alex - I usually get home in time to grab some Z's before the day starts but with demons out until dawn lately(yawns) . . . I got a total of two hours sleep. We should really start going out in shifts. This part god thing isn't all its cracked up to be.

Alex grabs the mail from Eve and sits down. She opens one letter while taking a sip of her coffee. She spits out the coffee after seeing the letter

Alex - Crap!

Eve - What's wrong!

Alex - I am in debt! And out of time! Collectors are coming to repossess the centre if I don't pay in two weeks.

Eve - What?! How did this happen? How did you get in debt?

Alex - I defaulted on my loan. With all the upgrades to the centre to bring it up to code and our non profit programs and liability insurance (sigh) I can't keep up. And I'm now on over draft with the money I used to replace the door your little hooligan friend broke.

Cut over by the kitchen table and chairs where Cupid materializes in a poof of sparkles.

Cupid - Troubles cuz?

Alex - Oh this day just keeps getting better and better

Eve - What is it? (can't see Cupid)

Alex - Cupid.

Eve - What about him?

Cupid - She can't see me. Hold on (materializes again in a poof of sparkles and Eve can now see him) Hi

Eve - (eyes widen) Cupid! Oh Cupid! He's actually here in your loft!

Cupid - Yeah, I thought I'd drop by on my day off

Alex - How's that working out for you?

Cupid - I hate to admit it but you were right. Its nice to take the day to see those couples celebrate the love I helped them find. Makes the work I put in through out the year worth it.

Alex - Yeah, I'm sure Hallmark's ecstatic for you. Now go away

Cupid - How are you by the way? I heard about the whole Craig, demon, Thuvan thing. I'm sorry. Craig was an okay guy

Eve - Thank you for your concern but . . .

Cupid - (interrupts) I wasn't addressing you Bringer.

Eve's mouth drops in offense

Alex - (sighs) Would you lay off the whole Bringer of Twilight thing.

Cupid - Hey I'm just here to see how you're doing. If I had have known Craig was going to die I wouldn't have . . . (stops short catching himself)

Alex - What? You wouldn't have what?

Cupid - Uh . . . Never mind

Alex - Oh no! Spit it out!

Cupid - It was supposed to be a thank you, you know, for giving me the suggestion of taking Valentines day off . . . and inspiring me to take week ends off as well!

Alex - (rolls her eyes) What did you do?

Cupid - I kind of put a faint spell on the rose that Craig gave you. It's less potent then my arrows but it was supposed to make you two gradually fall in love

Eve's eyes widen and goes to hold Alex back

Alex - YOU FEATHERED BRAINED NUMB NUTS!! I did fall in love with him and now his body is taken over by some lunatic with a major chip on his shoulder!

Cupid - I'm sorry! I messed up! There, are you happy? I, Cupid, messed up

Alex - Yeah you did! Big time!

Eve - Alex, he may be a God but he's not a mind reader. I'm sure he only had good intentions for you

Cupid - I really am sorry.

Alex slams her hand down on the counter and Cupid moves around Alex to stand in front of Eve. He's now between the two

Cupid - (to Eve) By the way. How are you and that James fella doing?

Eve - How'd you . . .? Never mind. We broke up

Cupid - Really. (turns back to Alex) There, you see. If you would have just let me keep doing my thing they would have been happy together.

Eve - What is he talking about?

Alex - Come off it Cupid. It's for the best

Eve - It really is. I wasn't being fair to him

Cupid - Oh okay. Let's everyone who is a God of Love raise their hand

Cupid raises his hand then looks between Eve who is giving him a strange look and Alex who is rolling her eyes

Cupid - Hmm Just me. (puts his hand down) What a surprise.

Alex - Uh huh! Right. (looks back to her bill and sighs)

Cupid - Money troubles?

Alex - Yeah

Eve - Why don't you use your inheritance?

Alex - I used most of it to renovate the centre and your apartment and get equipment. I'm so far in dept I might have to declare bankruptcy.

Cupid - (takes the bill from her) That's too bad. You made a pretty decent living for a God. . . . Hey, I'll help you out!

Alex - You're going to give me money? No thanks. I don't need to be in debt to a God as well

Cupid - You won't be in dept. This is my way of repaying you since my other plan backfired and besides, we're family. That's what families do right? Help each other out. And if Gods are one thing it's definitely big on family

Eve - What about all the times the Gods have tried kill Hercules?

Cupid - Misunderstandings?

Alex and Eve look at him confused.

Cupid - I have an idea. You two go to the centre. I'll meet you there. There's something I have to pick up. Later! (Dematerializes in a cloud of sparkles)

Alex - (sarcastic) Oh great!

Cut to the centre. The dance is on it's way being set up. James is signing stuff for balloons before he instructs two people to put the banner a little higher up. He looks over to see Eve and Alex come in. He gives a thumbs up to the guys adjusting the banner and runs over to Eve and Alex

James - Alex! Where have you been?

Alex - Wallowing in my own misery

James - Say what now?

Eve - She's upset.

Alex - And this Valentines Day dance is not the way to make it better. Who are these people? (gesturing to the people who are setting up the dance)

James - (smiles) Oh these are people I hired to set up the dance. Pretty smart huh? Less work for us!

Alex - AND ALSO LESS MONEY (grabs him by the shirt collar and starts shaking him) ARE YOU INSANE?

Eve pries Alex off James and holds her back as Alex stretches out her arms to try and strangle him

Eve - Alex calm down!

Alex - Would you stop telling me to calm down. This is not a time to be calm!

Eve - Cupid said he would help you out. So just let these guys do their thing and thank James

Alex - You want me to thank him for wasting my money?

Eve - He was trying to be helpful

Alex - (through gritted teeth) Thank you James for trying to be helpful

James - (out of the side of his mouth to Eve) I should take this as it is and not push it, right?

Eve - Yep

James - Don't mention it Alex (walks off)

Alex - Oh don't worry about that. (to Eve) And what makes you so sure Cupid 's going to help anyway. Since when do Gods ever do what they say they will?

Eve - Because it's true what he said. Gods are very family oriented. They look out for their own.

Alex - I'll believe that when I see it

Just then a bouquet of roses fall in front of Alex's face

Alex - What is this some kind of cruel joke?(she turns around to see Jeff)

Jeff - (holding two bouquets of roses) No, just a gift. Happy Valentines Day!

Eve smiles and takes a bouquet from Jeff

Eve - Thank you

Jeff holds the other bouquet out to Alex

Jeff - This one is for you despite the remark.

Eve takes the other bouquet and shoves it to Alex who takes it with a glare

Eve - She's having a bad day

Jeff - It's ten o clock in the morning

Alex - (sighs) I'm sorry Jeff. I'm in debt. And on top of it all I just found out less than an hour ago that Cupid put a love spell on me and Craig to make us fall in love

Jeff - Hold on a sec! Cupid is real?

Alex - Did you miss the whole other part of what I was saying?

Jeff - Does he look like a how he's portrayed? Like a big baby

Alex - No he just acts like it.

Jeff - I got to see this

Cupid(voice) - What is that saying? Seeing is believing

Alex Jeff and Eve turn around to see Cupid standing there. He's wearing jeans and a simple white t shirt and no wings

Alex - I was just saying the exact same thing. No wings?

Cupid - It helps with my work if I go to places incognito

Jeff - (eyes widen) That's him! (stands up to look at him) Hey man I've go to talk to you about my love life

Cupid - What do I look like a marriage counselor? Call me when it's not my day off

Jeff - Huh?

Alex - There was a big deal last year and we decided it was best if he took Valentines day off

Eve - Yeah and I would really like to know how I was involved in that

Alex - Can we get back to my problems please (back to Cupid) You said you were going to help me?

Suddenly a poof of sparkles come out of nowhere and beside Cupid appears Aphrodite. She squeals and giggles and jumps over to give Alex a hug. She is standing there having the life being hugged out of her with a confused look on her face

Alex - (to Jeff and Eve) Do you guys see this?

Eve&Jeff (wide eyed)- Uh huh

Alex - (breaks away from Aphrodite) You know it's really not good for business if you pop out of nowhere like that

Aphrodite - Oh don't be such a stiff. Everyone was too busy to see. Come on give your Auntie Aphrodite a hug

Alex - (puts her hands up) I'll pass. One is good enough to me

Aphrodite pouts then looks over to Jeff and smiles

Aphrodite - Hey stud muffin!

Jeff looks all around him then looks back to Aphrodite. Pointing to himself he mouths 'me' with a questionable look on his face and the goddess of love just nods

Cupid - (seeing this) Mom! PULEEZZZE. It's really weird when you do that. You are like an eternity older then him

Aphrodite - Well, I don't have to flaunt the fact (sees James walk up and she smiles again) Hello!

James - (stops dead in his tracks at the site of Aphrodite and her sheer outfit) Uh hi. (looks to Alex with a panicked look) Alex I swear I did not hire a stripper

Aphrodite - HEY !(looks down at her dress) Oh. I guess I should dress down a little bit.

A poof of sparkles appear around Aphrodite and she is wearing a pink peasant top and a long pink suede skirt

Aphrodite - There

James jumped back in shock

Cupid - (covers his eyes) Mom! Could you be a little less obvious. There are mortals everywhere!

Aphrodite - They didn't see anything

Aphrodite looks over to the lower level of the centre. All the hired workers are looking at Aphrodite with scared and confused looks on their faces

Aphrodite - (to the workers) I'm doing a magic show! Did you like my trick? Ta Da!

The workers clap and whistle and turn back to their work whispering to each other about how good she is.

Aphrodite - Mortals. They'll believe anything! Any way problem solved

Alex - (sighs) James meet Aphrodite and Cupid.

Cupid walks over to James and pokes a little at his well muscled arms

Cupid - (turns back to Eve) So what's wrong with this guy anyway? Why'd you break up with him?

James - Do you tell everybody our business Eve?

Cupid - I'm the God of Love I'm supposed to know your business

Aphrodite walks over and starts running her hands down James chest he starts to get nervous but is too scared to move

James - Uh Uh . . . Bad touching!

Cupid - Mom could you please stop hitting on my former clients

James - What does he mean by clients?

Eve - Good question Alex. What does he mean by that?

Alex - I'm about to go bankrupt here! Can we talk about that?

Cupid - Right back to business. I've brought someone who can help you and it's totally legit

Alex - How is Aphrodite going to help?

Aphrodite - I'm only here because I helped convince the person who is going to help. She's still a little bitter with Eve for everything that's happened.

Eve - (knows who they're talking about) You didn't?

Cupid - Yeah we did! (yells out) Come on in!

Persephone walks in the entrance. Alex doesn't recognize her

Jeff - Hey, do I know you?

Eve - Maybe not. But I certainly know her.

Persephone - (looks at Eve with disdain) Hello Eve

Eve - Hello Persephone.

Alex - (shock) Persephone! My Mother?!?

COMMERCIAL

Persephone's look softens as she looks of Alex. She smiles a little

Persephone - Hello Alexandra.

Alex - What . . . What are you doing here?

Persephone - I've come to help

Aphrodite - You're the only reason why she's here. She was dead set against going until I told her it was you who needed her help

Alex - No way! I will not accept any help from her

Eve - Alex!

Persephone - I'm your mother

Alex - You are not my mother! My mother and father died in a car crash. You're just someone who gave birth to me(turns around and walks away into the backroom)

Cupid - (sarcastic tone) Well that went well.

Eve - Just stay here. I'll go talk to her

Eve walks out. Cut to the backroom. Alex is sitting on a crate. Her elbows are on her knees her head in her hands. Eve walks in. She walks over to Alex and sits down next to her. Alex looks up at her

Alex - Don't say it Eve. Don't say I was being really unfair to her or I was being really mean or I should give her a chance because she's my mother biologically. And God help you if you start talking about Xena and Livia.

Eve - I wasn't going to say anything of the sort. You've not seen her your whole life and now she just walks in expecting a relationship. That's not fair to you. But you're also not being fair to yourself by not listening to what she has to say.

Alex - Eve, you saw the look she gave you. She hates you. Why are you defending her to me?

Eve - I don't care what she thinks about me. You're in trouble, the centre is in danger of being closed and we need some help. If she can do something about it, let her

Alex - If she thinks that a little money is going to make everything all better and we will have a wonderful mother/daughter relationship then she's got another think coming.

Eve - Talking to her can give you some closure on a lot of things.

Alex - Maybe. . .

Eve - And she can answer some questions you've had for a long time.

Alex - Like why she gave me up? Did she know Evander killed my parents? What kind of person she is? What kind of person am I?

Eve - Or what kind of person you want to be. (sighs) If you're not ready to do this I will support you but there is a bigger picture. . . like what we all stand to lose if you don't at least try.

Cut to the centre. Aphrodite is surrounded by all then male workers and she's smiling and giggling. Pan over to Cupid, Persephone, Jeff and James looking over

Cupid - This is so embarrassing!

Eve walks out of the backroom with Alex trailing behind.

Eve - Persephone. Alex has something to say

Alex - (reluctantly)Look, I don't know what you expect from me but I have questions and you have answers. We should talk.

Persephone sighs and nods.

Cut to Eve's apartment. Alex sits down on the couch and Persephone sits down at the far end of the couch away from Alex. They both look nervous and apprehensive. Persephone gets up and paces a bit

Alex - I hope you don't mind being here. Eve said we could use her place. Privacy and all.

Persephone - No it's fine . . . it's just I've always imagined what you'd look like. You're very beautiful

Alex - (looks down and her baggy cargo pants and grey tank top) I look like crap

Persephone - (Smiles and shakes her head) No you don't (wrings her hands and looks around Eve's apartment apprehensively)

Alex - You really don't like being here in Eve's apartment do you?

Persephone - (looks to Alex) Did she tell you? About what happened in the underworld?

Alex - Oh yeah! The whole deal. It messed her up a bit.

Persephone - Eve saved a lot souls but it was because of her that it happened. None of that would have happened if my husband wasn't killed

Alex - Hades only became your husband because Cupid hit him with that arrow and you ate that pomegranate. Did you even love him?

Persephone - I grew to love him! Are you saying I shouldn't be angry at Eve?

Alex - I don't care. If it wasn't for Xena toasting Hades to a crisp, you and Evander would have never gotten together and you would have never had me. So in a way I have Eve to thank for my existence

Persephone looks away and doesn't say anything

Alex - Uh huh! Yeah. So why did you give me up? It's not like you couldn't take care of me. Was I mistake? Did you just not want me?

Persephone - (shakes her head and sits down beside Alex) No it wasn't like that. You see, Hades technically is death. He and I couldn't have children. As much as we would have liked a child, Hades did not want it to be of another man and he did not want a child living among death in the underworld. I loved him and would do anything for him so I took an oath to never have children.

Alex - So why'd you break it?

Persephone - When Hades died I went into a depression. The years I spent in mourning seemed to blur together. The remaining Gods knew I couldn't control the souls in the underworld. Ares trained Evander and sent him to help me. He actually managed to contain the souls who were rebelling and he took care of me. He comforted me. I abandoned myself to night of passion with him . . .

Alex - (panicky)Okay! STOP! I don't need to know that part!!! Just skip ahead to having me please.

Persephone - (sighs but smiles a little bit) I had you when I was spending my time here on earth so Evander never knew. But it wasn't supposed to happen. I was so ashamed with myself because I broke a sacred trust with my husband.

Alex - You had a child. You didn't commit some cardinal sin

Persephone - The other Gods did not see it that way. You were an abomination. A symbol of a God in chaos. But when I looked into your eyes, I saw something pure. I didn't want you to be among us. You deserved much better. So before I was to return to the underworld I left you at an orphanage with some nuns of the Christian faith. I heard from my mother that you were adopted the next day.

Alex - I guess I lucked out. My parents were great people. What I want to know is how did Evander find out?

Persephone - I did end up telling him eventually. I grew to love him and he loved me. When I told him about you he was furious. He had a daughter that was a god and she knew nothing about her heritage.

Alex - Did you know Evander caused that car crash?

Persephone - What?

Alex - The car crash! The one my parents were killed in. He made it happen. My best friend's parents took me in afterwards. I never used my powers so he lost track of me. It wasn't until last year when I got shot that my God genes kicked in. Ares found me and told me who I really was.

Persephone - I never knew. I have a reverence for life Alexandra. I would have stopped Evander from killing those mortals if I knew!

Alex - That's probably why he didn't tell you

Persephone - (looks away) I'm sorry

Alex - I'll bet. So now I'm a god. The powers are pretty helpful too. It's a lot easier fighting demons this way.

Persephone - (bitter)Why do you waste your gifts on things far beneath you?

Alex - Whoa! Hold on . . .

Persephone - Why do you risk yourself to protect mortals? Why do you fight along side Eve? The Bringer of Twilight is a death warrant to our kind!!

Alex - Our kind!! Our kind died because of their own fear! And how dare you discard the people I have lived among all my life like they're nothing when you hold a stupid grudge for two thousand years

Persephone - You should be with your people!

Alex - My people threw me away! When you gave me up you also gave up any right to dictate my life.

Persephone - DON'T TURN YOUR BACK ON ME! You can't change who you are!

Alex - Oh? And who am I? A petty God? Only interested in vengeance?

Persephone - That was the path you took when after Craig supposedly died wasn't it?

Alex - How did you know about that?

Persephone - Cupid told me.

Alex just looks at Persephone with fury in her eyes and storms out of Eve's apartment.

Cut to downstairs in the centre. Alex storms out the backroom and pushes past James and Jeff who are surprised by her pushy behavior. Eve downstairs on the lower level of the centre sees Alex push past Jeff and James and runs up to see what's the matter

Eve - Alex?

Cupid stands in front of Alex and grabs her by the shoulders to stop her from getting past

Cupid - Hey? What's you're problem?

Alex - You want to know what my problem is? (Pushes Cupid) My "family" are my problem. Petty! Jealous! Cruel! Should I be like all of you and hate my best friend (Pushes Cupid again) Am I supposed to be consumed with jealousy and rage over petty things that don't really matter? Am I supposed to think I am better then everyone else? Is that who I am? Am I like you?!

Alex pushes Cupid completely out of the way and storms out of the centre. Eve attempts to go after her but Aphrodite grabs her arm.

Aphrodite - No, let her go sweetie. She needs some time

Eve - I'm afraid of what she might do in that time

COMMERCIAL

Cut to the evening. The dance is going on inside the centre. Music is blaring and people are dancing. Couples are hugging and kissing and smiling and sharing gifts. Pan over to Cupid who is smiling looking over all the people. Pan over to Aphrodite who is flirting with an old man who looks to be rich. He is decked out in a suit and has diamond rings on his fingers. Aphrodite is playing with his tie and he is smiling back at her. We pan back over to Cupid who rolls his eyes. Aphrodite waves good by to the old tycoon and passes by Cupid

Aphrodite - Don't say a word. Trust your mother. I know what I'm doing

Cupid scowls slightly and follows her over to the bar. Eve is on the phone

Eve - Are you sure Jeff? Nowhere. Will you call if you hear or find out anything? Thanks.(hangs up the phone)

Aphrodite - No word?

Eve - Nothing. Nothing bad but nothing good either. I'm worried. She's never been gone this long.

James - Do you think she left town?

Eve - No, Alex would never do that. She has been protecting the people of this city for years. She wouldn't just get up and walk away from it. She's been through worse.

Cupid - (turns to Persephone who is sitting at a table) I still can't believe you said that to her. Telling her she's better then sticking her neck out for mortals. Excuse me but I've been dealing with mortals my whole life.

Persephone - (gets up and looks at Cupid angrily) I know that! I deal with mortals too! I have nothing against them but Alexandra is my daughter and I fear for her safety. Fighting demons day in and day out . . .

Eve - Is what she does. And it's what I do. We give people a chance here. We help them.

Persephone - Aren't you mad at what I said?

Eve- I'm upset that you upset Alex. It's not fair when you to bring up old grudges that don't even concern her

Aphrodite - Or anyone anymore. The reason why our family died was because they tried to kill Eve. If they would have left her alone Xena would have never killed them. That explains why you, me, Cupid and the others are still here. Ares was right. The only thing she had over us was our own fear. She's not the Bringer of Twilight she's a Bringer of Hope.

Eve - (smiles) Thank you Aphrodite.

Persephone - I'm sorry Eve. After all you've done . . .

Eve - (puts her hand up and stop her) Right now we have more important things to worry about. Like Alex. I have to go out and find her

Cupid - New York is pretty big! Where do you even start to look?

James - Cemetery?

Aphrodite - Why the cemetery?

Eve - (shakes her head) She used to go there to see Craig's grave but his body isn't in the grave anymore. Alex knows this. She'd only go to the cemetery to fight demons. And Jeff just said there was no unusual activity in that area.

Persephone - What about her adoptive parents? With all these memories coming up don't you think she'd maybe want to see them again

Eve - (her eyes light up) You're right! James you stay here and hold fort. Cupid, Aphrodite and Persephone you're with me.

Cupid, Aphrodite and Persephone follow Eve out the door.

Cut to a cemetery. Eve is stealthy walking through being on guard. She stops behind a tree and Cupid and Aphrodite bang into her squashing her up against the tree. She pushes them off and Persephone walks up to them.

Eve - Do you mind?

Aphrodite - Sorry.

Eve - Cemeteries are ultimate hangouts for demons. I'm being on guard and you should too

Persephone - We're Gods. We can handle ourselves. I just want to find Alexandra. Are you sure this is the right cemetery?

Eve - (points to a big church) See that church up there. Alex goes to that church every Sunday. Alex told me her parents always took her there every Sunday before they died. It's more then likely they were buried in the cemetery behind it.

Cupid - A God believing in another God. Weird!

Eve - We all need to have faith in something.

Aphrodite sees something in the distance. She pats Eve's arm and Eve looks over to where Aphrodite is pointing. In the distance they see a figure sitting between two headstones.

Cut to a close up of the figure. It's Alex sitting between the headstones of her parents. She holds two bouquets of flowers in her lap. She's been crying.

Alex - (in a sob) I'm sorry I don't come to see you much. I've been kind of busy. I've started going to church again though. You know I'm a god now? Actually, you probably already know that if you've been watching. Although sometimes I hope you're not. I've done some really stupid things. You are probably so disappointed. I hate the thought of that. I've acted out in horrible ways. I did what I always do, got through the only way I knew how. When Craig died I go through it all again and I took it out on the people who cared for me. I was so horrible to Eve. I guess I was sort of jealous of her. She was always the better person. I act out with violence and hatred and jealousy. And what's worse is I'm so scared that maybe that's just who I am.

Eve - No!

Alex gets up in shock and turns around to find Eve, Cupid, Aphrodite and Persephone who has tears in her eyes looking at her. They had been listening to her. Eve comes over to her and hugs her.

Eve - Don't you ever think that for one minute. Alex you are a good person. You are allowed to feel pain

Alex - (breaks away)That doesn't make what I do right.

Eve - Alex you may be a God but you are still human and you're allowed to make mistakes. You are entitled to feel angry, hurt, sad or confused. That doesn't make you a bad person. You are out here losing sleep fighting demons so people with souls have a chance. You are here because you believe in what you are fighting for. Those are not the actions of a bad person. Alex I don't know much about your parents but I know they would be proud of you because I'm proud of you

Persephone - So am I

Alex looks at Persephone and begins to cry. Persephone starts to cry as she embraces her daughter. Alex lets her and cries into Persephone's shoulder. Eve looks on with a smile her eyes glossed over with tears. Aphrodite starts crying happy tears and Cupid gives her a hug.

Eve just then gets tackled by a huge green demon. She flips it off her and propels her self back up with her feet.

Eve - I hate to break this up but we've got company.

A band of green demons emerge from pushes on the ground. Alex lets go of Persephone and ushers her Cupid and Aphrodite behind her as a green demon comes at them. Alex kicks it in the crouch then in the face as she sends it flying back. Alex then jumps up and flips over another demon and lands on its shoulders. She flips it back.

Eve jumps up and breaks off a sturdy branch from a tree. She used it like a staff. She twirls it around before knocking a demon in the head. She then swirls around in a swift motion using the staff to kick the feet out from under another demon. She hits another demon in the back pushing it forward. Eve then swirls around and hits another demon sending it crashing into the other one. As two attack Eve at different sides. She jabs one in the stomach then the other one in the head. She then twirls her staff around again before hitting them both in the head knocking them down. They all get up and charge at Eve. She jabs the staff in the soft ground and she swings around on the staff kicking all the demons down. As they go flying. Alex each electrocutes them dead with energy balls.

A few demons are left. One attacks Cupid but her just puts a love spell on him. It stops in it's tracks and gazes lovingly and Cupid. Cupid head butts him.

Aphrodite - Hyyyyyy Yaaaaaaa!

Aphrodite swings around and back hands a demon then kicks him in the gut. She then delivers a mean uppercut with sends him flying out of the cemetery.

One more demon stomps all over the flowers Alex was supposed to leave on her parents grave.

Persephone - Those were for her parents!

Persephone raises her hand and vines come up from the ground. The vines wrap around the demon. The vines grow higher and strangle the demon dead. The vines throw it out of the cemetery before sinking back down into the ground. Alex and Eve walk over

Alex - Nice!

Persephone - They don't call me the goddess of growing things for nothing

Persephone walks over to the front of Alex's parents' graves and puts her hands in front of head tombstone. She removes her hands and out grow a bouquet of lilies for each.

Persephone - Good job

Alex - Thanks

Persephone - I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to your parents.

COMMERCIAL

Eve, Alex, Persephone, Aphrodite and Cupid enter the centre that night after the dance has ended. James is there sweeping the floor. He looks up as they are coming in.

James - About time you showed up. I'm going to need help cleaning this place up

Aphrodite - Whoa! Hold it! I do not do manual labor

Alex - I'll help you in minute James

James - I see you're in a better mood. I have something for you that will make you even happier (Runs up to the bar and grabs and envelope out of the cash till and hands it to Alex) For you.

Alex - What is this?

James - Open it.

Alex - (opens the envelope) It a cheque (looks at the amount on the check and eyes widen) A big cheque!

Eve - (looks at the amount written) Whoa! Who gave this to you?

James - Arnold Quitch! It's for Alex and the centre. (looks to Aphrodite) He told me a beautiful blond lady told him about the owner and all the great things you have planned for the centre. He is touched by your generosity and warmth and he hopes this will help with all the programmes you got planned

Alex - With this much, it will not only help with programs but I can pay off my depts. I can get new stock and equipment!

Jeff just bursts in the centre. He's out of breath but he hands Alex a cheque

Jeff - Alex you won't believe this. Shane came into the station tonight. He said he had a stroke of luck. His boss from the job that Eve got him was feeling the love of Valentines day or something and gave everyone a bonus. He's giving it to you to pay off the repairs for the door.

Eve starts smiling and Alex is laughing

Alex - I don't believe this! This is wonderful! (looks to Cupid , Aphrodite and Persephone) You had something to do with this didn't you?

Aphrodite - Oh I might have persuaded Arnie on the benefits of a place like this. Hint! He might like it if you attach his name to some of the programmes.

Cupid - And everybody is in a good mood when they tend to find the love of their life on Valentines Day!

Alex - I thought you were taking the day off.

Cupid - I can make exceptions. Especially for family. But it's back to work tomorrow

Alex - Tomorrow is Saturday

Cupid - Sweet! Long weekend!

Persephone - (hands Alex another envelope filled with dollar bills) And this is from me.

Alex - I can't accept this.

Persephone - It's completely legitimate

Jeff - Wait a second! Now I know where I've seen you. You're on the news a lot. You're head of that new gardening and growing products company 'Persephone' aren't you?

Alex, Eve and James look at her strangely

Persephone - Well I have to do something with my time while I'm not in the underworld. And I can breathe easy knowing that Marcus and Solan have everything under control. Alex, you can use this money how ever you like. I know this can not begin to make up for all the time we've lost but its my gift to you.

Eve - Even if her friend is the "Bringer of Twilight"?

Persephone - You are not the Bringer of Twilight, you are a Bringer of Hope. I see that now after all you've done for me and my family.

Alex - I don't know how to thank any of you except to say if you ever want to drop in, you know, to say "hello," don't hesitate. You will always be welcome.

Aphrodite gives a little squeal of delight as she holds out her arms to give Alex a hug. Alex goes into it willingly. Alex then gives Cupid a hug and then Persephone.

Alex - I might not ever call you Mom though.

Persephone - That's okay. This is a good start!

Cupid - Anything for family! See you around Cuz!

Cupid Aphrodite and Persephone at the same time vanish in a poof of sparkles and glitter. Leaving the rest of gang smiling.

Eve - Well Alex it's looks like you got a family back

Alex - (Puts her arm around Eve's shoulders) I never was with out one!

Eve smiles and gives Alex a hug. Jeff and James look on with a bit of a sad smiles. Alex and Eve look over to them both and hold open their arms

Alex & Eve - (in unison) Come on!

Jeff and James smiles as they all embrace in a group hug.
